Log Black Forest Colorado Cabane

Cabine récemment rénovée située à la limite sud des arbres de la Forêt-Noire. Comme cette cabine est située juste à côté de Black Forest Rd., Vous aurez un accès facile à la ville.

Nous avons plusieurs aires de repos à l'extérieur, plus un foyer et un barbecue pour que vous puissiez en profiter. Il y a des vues sur les majestueuses montagnes Rocheuses depuis l'un des deux balcons.

Nous avons fait de nombreuses mises à jour de cette maison des années 1920, tout en conservant son originalité. C'est une maison entièrement meublée de trois chambres, une salle de bain et demi.

La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec des appareils en acier inoxydable (réfrigérateur, four, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle). Une machine à café, grille-pain et une variété d'autres commodités se livreront à n'importe quel cuisinier.

Wonderful Stay

Great experience in a great part of town away from the city noise! Very spacious cabin with plenty of beds to accommodate a larger group. The host was great to work with!

Wonderful Getaway in the Pines

A log cabin in the woods with lots of pine trees and a perfect view of Pikes Peak. We had beautiful weather so we enjoyed our coffee outside every morning. Debra was so helpful and accommodating in every way.

Happy with location…

Enjoyed staying here for a graduation celebration. The host was very accommodating. There are a lot of other cabins in the direct vicinity and so you are not alone and it’s close to busy road. Would stay here again if opportunity presented itself

Excellent Colorado Springs Stay

Such a great cabin, plenty of room!! Super comfy furniture and beds! Great view of the mountains and so close to everything you need. Excellent communication with host and cabin is fully stocked with everything you need! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Cute and cozy cabin

It was a cute and cozy cabin and the reviews were as they stated. Easy access to get in and the other thing is it is a little closer to the main road and you can hear the traffic going by. If you’re just wanting a place to stay because you’re there for the outdoor scenery then this is perfect!!

Wonderful Getaway

The property was fantastic. We truly enjoyed our stay. The coffee bar was a very nice feature for 2 parents after a long day of driving!! The owners truly thought of everything. My kids immediately felt at home and found a variety of toys, puzzles and books to keep them engaged and unplugged! My husband and I were able to enjoy coffee on the deck with a beautiful view of the mountains while the kids walked the property looking for deer tracks. If we find ourselves up this way again, we will definitely book the cabin again!

Great place

If you want to be close to all the touristy action this is NOT the place for you. But for us the location was great. The property is well maintained. The owners were nice and friendly. There's a rice cooker and a crockpot for those who want to do a lot of cook. We don't personally care for select comfort beds but we were prepared for that with our own memory foam pads. We had a great time and would book again if ever in the area.

Perfect for young family

This was a perfect location for our family. We loved the feel of being in a wooded area with the convenience of grocery stores and restaurants. The drive into Colorado Springs , Manitou, etc. was easy as long as you planned a little around “rush hour” traffic. The cabin itself was clean and cozy like a cabin with modern touches. It was nice to have a hallway between the kitchen/dining and living with young kids. We could send them to the living area while we prepped meals. There was a dedicated kids room with two twins which was great and had kids items like an art table with coloring books and crayons. The master had a nook area with an additional bed which could be used for one of the kiddos. There was a closet full of games and toys which was a huge plus for us. The wooded area around the cabin was fun for the kids. There was another closet with some outdoor play items which was great. The fire was nice for s’mores however the lighting feature didn’t work so we had to get creative. The kitchen had every amenity we needed including some cooking items like cooking spray, oils, and spices. I would highly recommend!

Gorgeous cottage!

This lovely little cottage on the edge of the woods is a perfect place to stay if you are visiting a student at the US Air Force Academy. It is 20 minutes from the north gate and close to shopping and restaurants. The cabin itself is tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. There are three large, comfortable sitting areas on the outside of the cabin, as well as a couple of cute benches thrown around. Perfect for large groups. It is situated on a somewhat busy road, but they provide air conditioning fans for each bedroom, to drown out the noise at night. The extra half bath was a plus for our situation. Debra was very easy to work with, and answered all of my emails quickly. The front door does take a little bit of force in order to unlock it, but once we figured that out, we knew how to do it from then on. This cabin is in a small grouping, but the residents of those cabins are very quiet and keep to themselves. Debra provides all of the coffee, condiments, and spices that you will need… as well as aluminum foil and Tupperware. And there is every pot, pan, and dish you will need. It is also very nice to have a dishwasher. Debra has thought of everything! We plan to come back again next year!

We stayed a week for a family reunion. One evening we hosted about 20 for dinner. Everyone fit comfortably and had fun. It is a lovely place to stay.

Black Forest Cabin - April 2025

The most important part of the property is that it had the look and feel of a cabin, starting with wood floors that were obviously authentic and very old. So we got the atmosphere we hoped for. The next best part was the kitchen -- plenty large enough to allow multiple people to be cooking, talking, and drinking coffee or wine together. What's better about a property used as a getaway for multiple couples or one large family? In my limited experiences, a kitchen that big and mostly modernized (e.g. large new fridge, big island/prep area, large sink) is unusual in a vacation rental described as a "cabin." However, given the cleaning fee, it would be nice to pay more attention to the multiple outdoor decks and furniture. We had to spend a lot of time cleaning off a ton of pine needles (no shock given the location in the middle of a Ponderosa Pine forest, but the amount we had to remove said it hadn't been done in a very long time) and had to do a lot more than wipe down an outside table and chairs before using them for meals. With so few bugs in CO, you can eat outside regularly but before we could enjoy that (and we did) we had to do deep cleaning that hadn't been done in a little while.

As an Army family of six, we had the opportunity to travel around the world, but are thrilled to have finally settled down in Colorado Springs.

We fell in love with Colorado Springs and this property 13 years ago. This particular cabin is one of seven cabins, which were built in 1925, on six and a half acres of forested land. Although we have fully renovated the 90 year old homes, their history remains largely intact.
