We have just installed a BRAND NEW 15 x 30-foot pool, and she's ready for summer visitors! Note: The pool is NOT HEATED and is open and ready for use from late May to October 1st. Yet more Good News: Outdoor activities are very plentiful here in the Berkshires of Massachusetts! Several lakes nearby provide many opportunities for swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and jet & water skiing, to name a few. Better yet, you can rent a Pontoon Boat and party away the day on Pontoosuc Lake, only 5 miles from this AMAZING property! However, because it had transitioned to a new management company (in April 2024), the 17 "older" reviews associated with that original property listing are unavailable for viewing on this "new" listing. The fireplace gave a beautiful ambiance...and the whole house speakers were a big hit...There is a large firepit outside and lots of room to stretch your legs and play lawn games...One of my favorites!" (January 2024) "A great location for a ski retreat. The house is large. There's actually like two houses in one! Ping Pong was lots of fun and the hot tub took away the aches of skiing. It's large with a main space and then an in-law apartment space with a separate entrance over the garage. We stayed in the main space, which has a slate heated floor living room (so nice), comfortable couch and good sized smart TV. The house layout is a bit unusual, with the living room separated by the kitchen and bath by a raised hallway some steps up and some steps down and a raised loft above the living room. Two bedrooms on the main floor, one upstairs on the second. That said, it would be a very good layout for a family with kids or groups traveling because there is some decent separation between the bedrooms and living space (my kids would have loved the space). Super peaceful, pretty area, very quiet. It was snowing most of the time we were there, and it was very pretty to watch the flakes falling through the several large patio doors/windows overlooking the backyard." Everyone, young and old, found a place to sleep and call their own, without worrying about noise or different sleep schedules. House had everything you could need to cook, clean, and relax. The house layout worked well for our group, especially the in-law suite for my parents to have some space. The host was super responsive an even listed extra kitchen items we might need for Thanksgiving, which was so appreciated. The immediate area is rural and quaint with a lot of small farms, and there are a range of attractions and activities in the surrounding region." The pool was a wonderful amenity, plus basketball, ping-pong, shuffleboard and other games for extra fun! We improvised some badminton and volleyball in the huge yard, pulse there's a firepit for your s'mores fix! The inlaw suite was incredible--and useful! The wifi was flawless and there are Bose speakers throughout, including on the deck, for music. The owner was extremely responsive, pleasant and proactive...Plenty to do in the Berkshires, but don't be surprised if you don't want to leave the property!" The Dining Room features a large wood-burning fireplace, a wood-burning stove in the Living Room, and there is also an outdoor firepit. Firewood is provided for you. Host can be reached via the Airbnb app or by phone # provided upon check-in. The property is extremely private, surrounded by farmland, lakes, and wooded areas. Neighboring houses aren't visible from the property. You will need your own vehicle when visiting the Berkshires. Please note that Uber/Lyft and other shared-ride apps are not readily available. Outdoor/Indoor Games: The house is chock full of popular outdoor games and equipment, including Volleyball, Badminton, Pickleball, Basketball, and Croquet. The indoor Game Room is equipped with a Ping-Pong Table, Shuffleboard, and Foosball. Note regarding the Loft above the Main Living Room: There is a Twin Day Bed + a Twin Trundle Bed underneath up in this space. Local Discounts for our Guests: We have secured 10%-Discounts for our guests at Berkshire U-Drive Boat Rentals, Berkshire Bike & Board, and the Lanesborough Local General Store, and (coming soon!) the Elle Day Spa is putting together special packages for our guests during their visit, all located within 3.5 to 5 miles of the property. Discount access codes provided upon booking so guests can pre-book their rentals or spa packages :) Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings, and avoid leaving out food and trash. There are a couple of super cute Highland cows next door that you may see come to the property line fence. Please do not touch or feed them. Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared about your vehicle's ability to drive in the snow. Power and Internet: It is not uncommon to lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for the loss of power or internet out of our control. Pet Friendly: $100 for one dog and an addition $50 for each dog after that.
