Great property and one of the reasons we chose Sarasota again for our holiday. A great size pool and well equipped kitchen. It really feels like a home away from home.
We stayed here for almost 5 weeks. This property was perfect for what we were there for. The location was great and central to many activities and beaches. We loved the very private pool area, and the mid century vibe of the house. We were here when hurrican Milton came through. Bill, the owner and Larry the property manager were very informative. We would definitely stay at this property again!
1) host forgot we rented it, no lock box, no response to get in for 2 hrs. Forced to rent a hotel after all day travel..a joke2) host finally responded next morning to get us in, told us no charge for the week. Then never sent us our refund.3) pool was dirty 4) stove glass was cracked5) micro ants all over living room and front bedroom6) dead geako on closet floor7) fridge leaked water all over floor each dayComplete disaster of a rental
We had a lovely stay. Property manager was very nice. The pool was absolutely wonderful! We spent most of our time outside, the garden is gorgeous. Made most of our meals and the kitchen was great. Very beautiful property, would definitely stay there again. The only complaint was the master bed needs replacing but it wasn't bad enough that we tried sleeping in a different room.
Sarasota doesn't need to be all about the beach...
Absolutely charming little house in a quiet neighborhood in South Sarasota. The house is bright, cheerful and has a lap pool in the well landscaped backyard. The best seafood restaurant / market, a Trader Joes and great empanadas are within easy walking distance. We're coming back.
Eden-like, completely private pool and garden. Pool was 85-90 degrees F. in late April, (since pool is heated by sun only, it would be too cold for me in winter). We felt no need to go to Selby Gardens because we had our own garden here. Floating in the pool, we had butterflies fly by, and lots of birds sang. Very large 3 bed, 3 bath 1970âs Florida house. Lovely neighborhood, close to uncountable number of restaurants. 5 minutes from Philippi Creek restaurant. I drove 15 minutes to Siesta Beach every morning at sun-up and it was just wonderful.
Air conditioning is excellentâ78 degrees was plenty cool for us. Ceiling fans in bedrooms but not in living room area. New, large washer/dryer and good dishwasher. Charcoal grill in pool area.
We've rented many VRBO properties over the years and the whole family said this one is "the best!" It is clean, colorful, artsy, spacious, comfortable, private with large grounds full of lush gardens and vegetation whose growth adds to the privacy of the home. The house is well-appointed. The beds are comfortable. The lap pool was enjoyed by each of us and we wished we had time to enjoy it more. My wife and son enjoyed walking through the neighborhood for exercise. The area is quite safe, quiet and private. The home is centrally located in Sarasota so that Sarasota's many offerings can be quickly and easily accessed. Due to our busy agenda, we did not have time to cook. However, the kitchen accouterments to prepare any food one might desire. We would definitely want to stay at this property again the next time we visit "Grandma" in Sarasota. The owner, Wiburn, and property manager, Larry, are easy and delightful to work with. Thank you!
3 of us stayed at this lovely home for 5 days the week of Thanksgiving. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood close to everything. The house is owned by artists and as a result there is beautiful artwork everywhere. A great lap pool and beautiful back and side yard makes this house a great find! We enjoyed it immensely! There are a couple of things. The first is that because it was terrific weather we had no need for air conditioning. However, 2 of the 3 dedrooms do not have windows that open. The master suite does and we enjoyed a nice breeze at night. The other bedrooms do have windows, they just donât open. Also, the outside of the house by the pool could use a bit of sprucing up and a bit of fresh paint. These2 things aside, it was a great rental which we would come back to.
One of the best places we have ever stayed. Very spacious and tastefully decorated we found everything we needed for our holiday. Great kitchen and pantry with lots of store cupboard basics to get you going. Comfy bedrooms and great showers!
The property is very private and the pool and gadens were beautifully maintained.
This was our first time in Sarasota and we found it very smart with lots of supermarkets, restaurants and stunning beaches. We found the prices of food etc expensive so would recommend trying Detwilers for fresh fruit, veg, meat and fish.
Overall we absolutely loved the property and Sarasota in general. Also looking at a return visit in 2024.
One point - for rainy days (there were a few in November) there are puzzles and games though be warned, one of the puzzles has a single piece missing. đ
This property had everything we were desiring for our honeymoon. As avid mid century modern enthusiasts, we were overjoyed to find this listing, it did not disappoint. We had a minor snafu upon arrival/checking, but all was rectified. The worst part was having to leave. We would definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay at this property. It was just as lovely as the first time. Pool is fantastic! Really a great backyard too. It's a quick drive to the beach. Also close to grocery stores and restaurants. If you like to cook the kitchen is great too.
We loved our stay here. The pool is lovely and the outdoor patio nearly perfect for a full pool day. The house is plenty roomy with lots of great specs to spread out or gather together. We will definitely be back!
This was our third annual stay at this home, and all three have been excellent. The landscaping, art, and design add to the charming, comfortable feel of the home, making it a true retreat. As before, the property manager (Larry) warmly greeted us on arrival and ensured we had a great stay. We definitely hope to return again next year.
Style and comfort and space⊠this place was a winner. Well located (near the friends we were visiting as well as sights and shopping) and well stocked, we do hope to come backâŠ.
This wonderful property gives the feeling of being at your own private resort. It was so easy to enjoy the outdoors, what with the heated pool and surrounding patio with recliners. So nice to transition to the covered patio area with the dining table and comfy sofa style seating. The home is lovely and convenient with open style kitchen, and the design is great with two entryways leading directly to a shower for a quick rinse off after the pool. We can't wait to return!
the house is part of the sarasota architectural heritage of modern homes. much of florida is a sort of faux mediterranean pastiche but this house has character and is casual and simple. it is also very private and the garden surrounding the pool is tranquil and lush.
