I have stayed at this property many times over the years. It is my favorite place to stay it's quiet with gorgeous views and lots of beautiful paths and places to walk my pup. It's very close to St George, the owner is wonderful. I hope to return again next year it really is my happy place.
Just us and our Goldendoodle and it was perfect. We wanted something away from the crowded city but close enough to Tuachan for a show. It was serene and quiet. Just what we needed. We hiked the Snow Canyon Overlook Trail which was phenomenal.
Beautiful quiet location to enjoy the area. Close by to trails for mountain biking. Good birding in the local area. Snow Canyon just 10 minutes away as well as Tuacahn.
This was a great find. Full kitchen, not many casitas with that, and large bedroom and batch. Clean and quiet even though just steps to the art galleries and dining options. Shelly and Mark were great hosts. Thanks!
When we arrived, the owner had someone else staying there and had totally forgotten that she had already received payment. A note to others, VRBO can't rebook you in a new property for the same day.
Saint George was one of the fastest growing communities in the US and it shows. There is not much cohesiveness to it, and it's not the quaintest city. But Kayenta (the neighborhood where the casita is located) is really special. Everyone we met while walking around there was extremely nice and friendly, and the layout of the development inspires relaxation and creates a stress free environment. The Casita it self is very nice, and as others have mentioned, is roomier than it looks in the photos. The hosts are great, and the hiking within a 50 mile radius is incredibly beautiful and surprisingly diverse. There is a nice hike just a few hundred feet from the Casita, located by the pickleball courts - great for the morning dog walk. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend if staying in the Saint George area.
This casita is gorgeous. It is surprisingly spacious, comfortable, beautiful, with walls of windows looking out to the bedrock backdrop of the unique Kayenta community. Walk across the street to art shops, Xetava restaurant, bar, and salon. This is a wonderful venue for hiking, cycling, or just enjoying the view. The hosts are welcoming and and wonderful people.
Lovely property for a couple, well appointed and amenities throughout the 1-month stay not just starter packs, stunning views of the red rocks, appreciated the access to pickleball, pool and state park pass, owners attentive, accessible and quickly resolved 2 issues.
Great spot in the desert! We enjoyed the pool, art village, and restaurant on site. Biking Snow canyon and the area around Ivins was the highlight. The condo was gorgeous and was only outdone by the surrounding views.
Beautiful casita surrounded by stunning views. This casita was perfect for my husband and I. Spacious rooms and had all the amenities for preparing meals. Highly recommended.
This is my 3rd time staying at this beautiful casita and can't wait until I return again. Coyote Casita is warm and welcoming with spectacular views located in the wonderful Kayenta art village. My pup and I enjoyed walking the beautiful surroundings and hiking Pa`rus trail at Zion national park. Sally is a warm and gracious host who greeted us upon our arrival and was available for anything we might need.
Sally was so gracious. The home is so very clean and beautiful. We will be back for sure! Oh and the views from the back patio are stunning. Canât say enough about our wonderful stay here in Kayenta.
If you like a secluded quiet place this is it. The dark nights are incredible and the location is superb. Xetava is an excellent place to relax and enjoy a wonderful meal. We will be back for sure!
There is nothing negative to say about this place, only that there was a lack of communication with the host. So far with vacation rentals I have always received the address and instructions the day before in an email. In this case I texted the hostess twice without a reply and finally called. I was explained a few things over the phone which were hard to understand and asked to get a text with the information. That didnât happen. When I arrived at the address that I thought I had been given I called the hostess again and she explained in a complicated way where my entrance was. It would have been so much easier for her and for myself if she had come out and showed me around. I didnât see the hosts in these 5 days a single time and honestly felt unwelcome. There is a folder with information on a shelf on a side table in the living room which is helpful but if she had pointed that out to me I could have avoided calling her several times as well as parking in the wrong place which turned into a somewhat unpleasant encounter with her son who needed to get in his garage.
Great location right in the Kayenta Art Center yet secluded and very quiet. Perfect set-up for two people with hiking and biking right out the front door and the Xeteva Cafe a two minute walk away. No traffic and no crowds.
Purchased the property in 2002 as a second home. There was a separate large garage. In, 2015, we built a new garage with a large casita behind / next to our house. This is zoned commercial and is a short-term rental as it is located within Kayenta Art Village. It is the only short-term rental in the village. My husband is an architect and I have been a real estate associate & broker for over 20 years in two states. My daughter, an interior designer came from New Orleans, LA to help furnish & design the property. We moved here after retirement. This is our homestead now in Utah and we really love the red rock mountains and the feeling of privacy in this beautiful neighborhood! The people are all great and friendly. It has a feeling of being out in the country from out of a busy town. It is our serene place to live.
This property was so enchanting with the serene desert and red mountains, it appealed to all of our needs for a second home. We now call Utah our home in beautiful Kayenta. The Santa Fe design of the houses was also utmost in our decision, having close ties with New Mexico in the past. With us born in the South, it made for a perfect fit. It is a lovely piece of property near national parks and in an almost exclusive adult community. There is much to do and many cultural events. The Center for the Arts @ KAYENTA now open in the village is within walking distance from the casita and in front of our main house. Xetava Gardens Restaurant and the Rusted Cactus are great restaurants that offer delicious and healthy food. They are open for lunch and dinner and is a two-minute walk from the casita! The community has many people from all over the country who have either retired in this area or have a second home. It is because the area offers so many nearby parks, sports events, cultural events and just everyday sightseeing. The mountains of red rock "Kayenta" are a view that never grows tiresome and one of enlightenment on a daily basis. Come see for yourself and you will know why we chose this spot. Pictures cannot describe the beauty nor the feeling of serenity.
Since photos, do not do the area justice, you must SEE this location to believe. As the owner, I feel confident that you will be pleased with our casita. The privacy is surreal and a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life!
