Excellent location for Relaxing on the beach

We had a great stay directly on the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plenty of towels and the property was spotless. Check-in after hours was a breeze, as was check-out before hours. Bring what you need as far as spices, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and paper products, but the management company sends a recommended list. The property is larger than it looks in the pictures and we all had ample space. Highly recommend!

Perfect beachfront home with amazing views & everything you need!

We absolutely loved our time at Sea View Play! My husband & I purchased our fishing licenses before we came (in March) hoping to catch a few from the shoreline. We caught 2 Redfish off of little chunks of squid that were 28” & 30” long! It was amazing!! The house is located perfectly with its own private beach since it’s ocean front. It’s decorated so cute & everything was very clean. We can’t wait to return again with family and friends! Since it’s 4 bedroom & 4 bathrooms, there is room for everyone!

Great Memories

This house was perfect in all ways! It was our home away from home and it truly felt like that. The house was decorated so tasteful and the location was great. Even the outdoor furniture was perfect especially while dolphin watching. We loved being able to walk right off the deck and onto the beach. We will definitely be returning in the future!!

Perfect!

The house was laid out perfectly for our needs. Everyone had their own sleeping area and bathroom so privacy was well-maintained. The common areas were large and accommodated our families needs. The outdoor areas were spacious and it was nice having covered areas to get in the shade, but also open areas if you wanted to soak up some sun. Proximity to the beach was spot on - just step outside basically. So nice, not crowded, clean - the perfect spot for us! The rental management company was excellent - giving us updates on the storm and accessibility to the rental unit. We will definitely return to this property.

Wonderful house with everything could possibly need!

Beautiful beach house and we have rented and been too many beaches! Will definitely be coming back to this location! Very clean and house and everything we needed! We saw Dauphin’s every day, caught shrimp one day and a large beautiful amount we cooked and were able to take some back home to Arkansas. My boys fished off the beach and loved it! Beach is so close we did not even take an ice chest or snacks you literally walk down the stairs and you are there! Everyone on the beach was so nice and it is very private as well! Highly recommend this beach and house !! We will be back! The Luyet Family

Relaxation Is Inevitable

Our college kids like to be very active during our vacations. After 2 of the 3 had finished summer school, on this trip they were content to hang out on the beach and spend evenings at the house. They went crabbing, made smoothies, and worked puzzles! The house has LOTS of space to cook and eat together yet at night, everyone had a private space to unwind and sleep peacefully. No complaints here!

Nice home but not what we were looking for.

If you want on the beach, this house is for you. When we arrived we were a bit bummed that the ocean looked like chocolate milk (no fault to anyone, we know), but we were a little disappointed. House has a great main living space that fit 12 of us perfectly. 4 days in we did have some visitors (hello, roaches), but really the place seemed clean. We stayed at the house most of the time only because there is literally NOTHING to do in Dolphin Island. We struggled to find a decent restaurant and one day got Rainbow Pizza that cost us almost $60 for 4 pizzas. If you like action and some things to do this may not be the place for you.

Hi Jennifer, thank you for your review. I wanted to touch base with you regarding the issues you pointed out. Because we are located close to Mobile Bay our water is not always clear/blue/green. If we have a lot of rain upstate it can cause the water to become cloudy for a few days. However, the water is usually quite nice. I am sorry it was not clear when you stayed. Dauphin Island is a very laid back place. Other than the beach, biking, fishing, dolphin watching and visiting the handful of gift shops...there is not a lot to do like Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. A lot of people come here for that very reason. I am so sorry you guys saw bugs at the house. We will send the pest control company to spray if you let us know in the future. The warm summer months tend to make the bugs come out, especially in the evening. In the future just let us know!

The Best

We have been spending a week at the beach every year for the past 25 years. This is the first time I have seriously considered buying a second home at the beach. Dauphin Island is wonderful. The residents friendly and helpful and the house was perfect.

Loved the open concept. Every bedroom had it's own bathroom. The kitchen had all the utensils.

The house was perfect for our family. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The open concept let everyone be included in the conversations. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed for cooking. Nice up to date stainless steel appliances. The most perfect aspect of the house was the view! Just steps from the ocean!

Southern Comfort

We spent a week in this home with friends and everyone had a great time. There were eight of us, and plenty of room for everyone. The layout is perfect for accommodating a small group--each bedroom has a bathroom and, and with common areas between bedrooms, it is quiet enough for those who want to sleep later to be able to do so--but who would want to! Mornings on the deck are spectacular, and most mornings included dolphins. The house is nicely decorated and well stocked. There was never a time that we needed something that wasn't there. The tile floors are attractive and practical for the frequent trips to the water--and there were many! For many of us, this was our first trip to the Gulf, and we loved having the beach right out our backdoor, with the welcoming warm water just steps away. The beach is surprisingly quiet and lacks the usual crowds. This was a very relaxing vacation, and a location that pleased everyone. We would definitely return.

Best vacation of my life!

Beautiful home on the water with sweeping views of the Gulf. I've stayed at Sea View Plan four times over the past six years and have enjoyed it more and more each time. Waking up to dolphins jumping and the crash of the ocean at your footsteps is just the beginning. Sea View Play is in excellent condition and has all the amenities you would want at home. The home is spacious enough for a multi-family trip and cozy enough for you and and another person or small group. Words cannot describe Sea View Play and its natural and peaceful beauty. The best vacation of my life -- Sea View Play at Dauphin Island! I can't wait to go back! Five stars!

Great beach house.

The house was roomy and clean with a great layout and well stocked kitchen. The home itself is very warm and inviting and didn't feel like a "vacation rental" at all. It felt more like staying in a friend's home. The view from the deck is beautiful. This is a family friendly home in a nice quiet location offering easy and quick access to the beach and ocean. We stayed with our four children and the grandparents, and had a lovely little getaway. The shops nearby are quaint and have an authentic feel that we prefer to the atmosphere of Gulf Shores. Booking and payment were a breeze and we had no major issues with the house. I would recommend this property to family and friends and will likely book either this house, or another from the same management company for our next retreat. Don't miss Skinner's Seafood, The Lighthouse Bakery, and (if you want the best crab claws around) make a little trip up to The Lighthouse Restaurant in Irvington. The kids also enjoyed the Estuarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.

Excellent Location

Our stay at Sea View Play was awesome. First of all, the property is just as indicated by their descriptions in that it sits right on the beach front with just the right amount of distance to the ocean. Every room is nice and the layout of the home is so convenient for a large family as we had. We loved everything about it. There were some things we needed that were not provided but as soon as we mentioned them to the realtor, they were delivered immediately. We could not have asked for a better home, location or island to spend our Spring Break on. We would like to make one suggestion to those attending to the beach security. It would be so beneficial to all those on the Island to know when the Tide Current is at such a high level as was experienced during our stay. Maybe they could make a couple of quick drives along the beach to let us know of the existing dangers that are taking place in the ocean itself. While we were there, two lives were lost due to the rough waters. We had no idea of the serious conditions until we heard this on the news. Thank you!
