Cet hôtel moderne, spacieux appartement est situé directement sur la belle plage de Hoopers Bay - considérée comme la meilleure plage de rester dans Exuma..Just quelques pas dans le jardin tropical est le / 2 milles (1 km) de long sûre et calme plage de sable 1 qui est protégé des vents dominants afin que les clients peuvent profiter de la baignade, en regardant le tortues, kayak (et ceux-ci sont inclus) de la plongée ou tout simplement se détendre à l'ombre des arbres de noix de coco!
L'appartement est entièrement climatisé et de ventilateurs de plafond dans toutes les chambres et fait face à la mer avec une grande véranda couverte avec des tables et des chaises pour les repas ou de détente. Une cuisine complète, grand salon (avec télévision par câble) et le haut débit Wifi assure un confort pour nos clients tandis que la chambre peut être soit un roi, ou la reine ou Lits pour répondre aux exigences.
Situé très commodément sur l'île à seulement 10 minutes de l'aéroport et à 6 minutes de la capitale Georgetown, et avec un certain nombre de commerces de proximité facile de 5 minutes à pied
Voler à Georgetown, Exuma (Code GGT) est simple avec des vols directs sur AA de Miami et du Royaume-de Fort Lauderdale ainsi que Delta d'Atlanta et Toronto sur Air Canada. De Nassau il ya plusieurs vols par jour sur deux Bahamas Sky ou Bahamasair qui prend environ 35 minutes.
Les clients sont accueillis à l'aéroport par notre chauffeur de taxi dédié et vous seront accueillis par nous à Coral Sands que nous vivons à une courte distance et donc disponibles pour aider les clients lorsque nécessaire pour organiser des activités ou de recommander des restaurants, etc.

Wonderful property!

The pictures online didn't do the actual view justice, it was better than expected. Peter and Betty were excellent hosts, very helpful. Apt had everything we needed and Hoopers Bay and the turtles were fantastic!

Best location!

We were so happy with Coral Sands! Comfortable, well-equipped apartment with an amazing view of Hooper's Bay from the porch. Beautiful beach with lounge chairs and kayaks, where you only see occasional people walking, but usually had the beach to yourself. Perfect location for stores, restaurants, and exploring the island in either direction. We can't wait to return!

Most relaxing vacation ever

We absolutely loved our stay at Coral Sands. The apartment met all of our needs. The view from the balcony cannot be beat. It was wonderful to enjoy our coffee outside every morning. The beach in front of the property was fantastic. VERY quiet. Most of the time we were the only ones on the beach. Peter and Betty were great hosts. We are already planning on coming back later this year and bringing our children. Exuma now holds a special place in our hearts.

Peaceful and relaxing!

Peaceful and relaxing is the perfect way to describe this wonderful get away on the beach! The sand and the water are just exquisite, and the big beautiful covered veranda is where we ate our meals and hung out when not at the beach! Having the owner right next door was a blessing…They are very knowledgeable and helpful about everything in the area! Georgetown only about 10 minutes away, and Smitty’s market is just a half a mile down the road… We thoroughly enjoyed being able to visit the swimming turtles every morning! Thank you Peter and Betty… You have a beautiful beach house, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We loved getting to know you also!

Relaxing week on amazing beach!

We had the most wonderful week at Coral Sands. The apartment was cozy, comfy and had everything we needed. Our highlight of the trip was the amazing beach on Hoopers Bay. Warm water, amazing sand (thanks for the oolite lesson Peter 😀) and very private. Throughout the week we saw no more than 10-15 people on the beach at its busiest. Exactly what we needed! So beautiful than we had a hard time leaving. We spent countless hours sitting on the deck taking in that view. We wouldnt hesitate to return and are hoping to do so in the near future . Peter & Betty were wonderful and helpful hosts. Arranged taxi to and from airport, car waiting in the driveway for us to rent and Peter's most useful advice and tips for exploring the island. Thanks for an unforgettable anniversary trip! Yasam & Derek

Location Location Location!

This property was about 7 miles from the airport and 5 miles from Georgetown right on Hopper’s Bay Beach. The large deck overlooking immaculate gardens and the turquoise water was the star of this property along with the on site owners Peter and Betty who made sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable. They left fresh bananas for us that Peter had just picked from the garden. What a special treat. We rented(highly recommend) a jeep for the week and a boat for 4 days. There are mooring bouys where you can keep your boat. Unfortunately, we rented from a place that required a return daily. Will definitely stay at this property again and maybe rent from another that will let us keep our boat. On our beach days, many times it was just us and other times just a handful of other people. We found great food on Exuma which was a pleasant surprise. We Highly recommend Blu on the water by car or boat. Salt was a lovely new restaurant. The people are all so nice everywhere you go! Exuma and Coral Sands will definitely be pulling us back!!!

Fantastic stay at Coral Sands

We had a fantastic stay at Coral Sands. Peter was a great host and gave us lots of good advice. Peter made it really easy by arranging our transport to and from the airport. We also really enjoyed the convenience of a car provided by Peter. The location of the condo is great, being just outside of Georgetown in the center of island. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The view is amazing! We loved the pretty garden and being able to walk down to our own private beach. There are lounge chairs, kayaks and a convenient shower so you can rinse off a soon as you come out of the ocean. Make sure you use the kayaks! We really enjoyed kayaking by the turtles just down the beach and over to some smaller beaches. We enjoyed many of the local restaurants, Santana's, Shirley's and La Fourchette to name a few. La Fourchette was our favorite - we dined there twice (ask for Sonia). We rented a boat from Min's and had a great experience exploring the harbor, snorkeling the reef by the navigation buoys and of course, having lunch at Chat n' Chill. Clean, well-constructed,comfortable, with unbeatable location on a fantastic, nearly private beach.

This is a very special property, handsomely built and situated with private sandy walkway to a picture-perfect (calm) beach. The furnishings are simple but all was clean, and functional. We had a terrific time on Exuma, and saw some terrific beaches, but none we liked better than Coral Sands. The owners were very responsive via email conducting business and advising (they were away so we didnt' get to meet them), and made sure a grill was delivered for our use very promptly. The taxi driver, and agent who met us at the apartment were on time and very helpful. We would love to return someday, and I would highly recommend to friends and family who share our taste for the simple luxuries of peace and cleanliness over stylish and excess furnishings. I do recommend that when visiting you arrange to stop for some supplies and foodstuffs before getting to the unit, unless you have a car with you. First time driving on left (with a right side steering wheel) took some getting used to but all was well. We realized that everything is relaxed and laid back on Exuma, so if you've never driven on the left before, don 't hesitate to do it here....it's a snap after a short while. We enjoyed a private 1/2 day snorkeling/sightseeing boat tour and our veranda the most of all, along with the flavors and colors of foods, flowers etc. Perfect for a couples week away from hustle and bustle, without having to deal with the downsides of corporate controlled resorts. No cruise ships come to this island at all! One note: the property description says there "is an on-site laundry facility" but in fact we learned that our unit did not have access to one. (A laundromat is in nearby Georgetown though).

We really enjoyed our stay at Coral Sands. The apartment is really nice, but the view and private beach will really take your breath away! You can walk right down to the beach of Hooper’s Bay, which is home to green sea turtles. We got to snorkel with them! Peter and Betty are outstanding hosts. Peter gave us all of the insider tips for having a great vacation. He gave us maps showing us the local restaurants, shops and snorkel spots. They have a car available for rent at a very reasonable rate. One night we left the lights on at a restaurant and drained the battery. Peter came to our rescue with a jump start which we are extremely grateful for! It’s things like this that make Coral Sands the best vacation rental I have ever stayed at. In conclusion, we enthusiastically recommend Corsl Sands!

Great stay in a beautiful quiet place

The property is well built and well maintained. I would venture a guess that it may be among the most structurally sound buildings on the island which is important when the island is in the potential path of a tropical storm which was the case during our recent visit. That said we also felt very safe here in other ways. The owners live on site and are very helpful. The apartment itself was very comfortable and we had everything we needed in terms of facilities, internet, kitchen equipment to make our stay relaxing. The split AC units provided precise control of temperature in each living space and made it very comfortable. The king size bed in particular was very good and we had perhaps our best night sleep in months there. We spent most of our time during the day in the water or on the beach and used to kayaks everyday to paddle around the perimeter of the bay. The owners Peter and Betty are very helpful and knowledgeable members of the community and provided us with lots of helpful information on restaurants, boat rentals etc. This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had because they made sure we had every thing we needed to relax especially peace of mind. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to secure a spot at this facility every year going forward we cant wait to go back.

Wonderful house on a beautiful beach.

We loved our stay. Exuma is a pretty island with beautiful emerald water. We rented a car from Peter (home owner) and drove south to Tropic of Cancer beach one day and north to walk on the flats for sand dollar shells the next day. Most of our time was spent on Hoopers Bay on the beach swimming with the green turtles. The house is amazing and beyond our expectations.

Awesome accomodations just steps from the sea

Very well appointed villa on the beach, just steps from Hooper's Bay. Comfortable & quiet, beautifully maintained grounds on private beach. Within walking distance of shopping but you will want a vehicle to get to Georgetown and see the rest of the island & Little Exuma. The owners were very gracious and accommodated our every need. Highly recommended, planning to return!

Best Vacation Ever!!!

Coral Sands was perfect. Beach front and only a few steps away. This is one of the prettiest beaches on the island. You will need a rental car which Peter helped us arrange. The people in Exuma are so friendly and helpful. Our place was clean and quiet. We went offshore fishing with Capt Doug Lowe and caught a 400 lb Marlin. This is truly a trip of a life time. Reality was even prettier than the pictures!

My husband and I visited Exuma for the first time from 3/11-3/21 2017. We loved our beachfront apartment! It was just right for the two of us. The spacious deck was especially beautiful with it's view and hammock. And yes, the ocean color really is as shown in the HomeAway picture - or even prettier. A person could have made a lovely vacation just sitting on the deck. Peter Oxley was a gracious and helpful host; offering guidance on what to do, and where to find things. This is so important for a first visit to a location. At the time the HomeAway amenities description indicated there was a DVD player so we brought a series I had been wanting to watch but couldn't find time to do so at home. But the player didn't work. Peter made several attempts to find replacement cables and even brought in a different player. But none were compatible with the TV. You have to remember that Exuma is a more remote location than many Bahama islands and there definitely isn't a BestBuy or even a real electronics store. But we chose this island just because of it's less developed nature. We had planned to do more cooking in the full kitchen but didn't really do more than breakfast and occasionally lunch. There were very few staples in the kitchen - I think there were four spices including salt and pepper. And there were limited numbers of pans/cookie sheets. For renters looking to make more complex meal this may have been an issue. Probably best to bring some of the food supplies as certain things might be harder to find on the island and more expensive. The best stocked grocery store was in "downtown" Exuma. It is bright green and I think it's just called the Exuma Market. Our apartment was part of a larger house, but our section felt very private. The apartment has two bedrooms. As it was just the two of us we needed only one and the other was locked. Make sure you verify the number of bedrooms you need and the corresponding price for that number as that second bedroom can be rented separately from the apartment. It has its own door to the outside but I don't believe it had its own bathroom. We rented a car from the Oxley's which was very convenient and my husband who made all the arrangements thought the price was competitive. Remember that driving is different for us Americans - the steering wheel is on the right and they drive on the left side of the road. But you really need a car to get to restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

We note your comments on spices etc although besides the basic choices we supply, there is a large variety of speciality ones at the nearby grocery store if guests need more of a particular type. To explain about our accommodation:- To give our guests the widest choice of accommodation & prices, we offer this 2 bedroom apartment as EITHER a 1 bedroom unit for 2 people (like yourselves) with HomeAway listing # 3909612 at a lower price & also as a 2 bedroom unit for 3 or 4 guests with HomeAway Listing # 3708343. PLEASE NOTE that at NO time do we rent it out as a 1 bedroom unit when it is already booked by others. You benefited from the lower priced choice & glad that you enjoyed your stay. Betty & Peter

Relaxing and scenic on the best beach!

One word: Beach! This house is situated on one of the best beaches in Exuma. We had a great time during our Jan 2017 9 night stay. Spent the week relaxing on the beach, steps from the apartment, enjoying delicious local cuisine at Santana's, Shoreline, Shirley's, Splash and others. Also visited many local beaches - Peter is very knowledgable in giving directions to some of the most unspoiled beaches on the island. Making breakfast and snacks was easy with a grocery (and pharmacy with a great pharmacist) and deli both close by. Another grocery store in Georgetown had a greater selection and was also only a 10 min drive away. The apartment itself was clean and had all the basics we needed. We needed a few hints during our stay which Peter quickly rushed over (he lives very close by). Peter is a wealth of knowledge and was always available when needed. Renting a car is almost a must to enjoy the island and can be done through Peter or Thompsons. Overall this was a great location for some R&R!

Nice and quiet vacations

July 12 2015 for one week in the 1 bedroom appartment Beach at the villas: Very nice beach with a lot of turtles on the right side near the two peers. Great view and directly on the beach. Almost alone. Saw only twelve different persons for all the week on the entire beach in front of the villas. Not the best island for snorkeling except for the turtles from the shore. You must visit the tropic of cancer beach for the beach, the view and the living sand dollars. We visited other nices beaches. Did a trip of 2 dives with one wreck and it was nice. It was our second visit to the island, so we did not do the full day trip in boat in the Exumas cays land and sea park (a must). Appartment : We were lucky, we had the villas for ourself most of the week. Nice appartment. Shade is provided by some palm trees. You can use kayaks and a tub chair. No safe in the appartment but the place and the island are safe. Kitchen well equipped. Owner is very nice and friendly. Car rental : Thompson's car rental was cheaper. Almost a must to rent a car. Groceries : If you want to make you meals like we do, you can manage well with the three following stores : Smithy's, Prime Island Meats and Deli (Cooked chicken, steaks) and the 'main' grocery in Georgetown. We would like to return in the future.

Lovely, but...

The house was lovely, but we did not have an operating phone at the house. The hard-line phone service was out and we were left with no choice but to rent a car for the entire trip because we were unable to call for a taxi. The unplanned cost of the rental car was completely unexpected, causing us not to be able to do everything we had planned for our vacation. Not having a phone also kept us from making reservations for certain activities that we'd planned to enjoy. We were vacationing from out of the country and neither of our cell phones had an international plan. Nice rental home and good location.... Just had problems with the phone and other issues stemmed from that unfortunately.

Thank you for this review & we also share your concerns with the telephone & internet service which collapsed on most of the island for about a week after a major fire in the telecommunications company building. Our representative who saw you (as we were away from the island for those days) make strenuous efforts to try to get you back on line but she did advise us that you had told her you were unconcerned and enjoying the break from communication. We always like to ensure that our guests received the service that we offer & although the circumstances were outside our control, we will be sending you a payment to at least compensate you for the inconvenience that this caused. Glad that you liked the rest of our Coral Sands property & hope we can welcome you again on a future occasion. Betty & Peter - owners
