Family Retreat with Great Location to Downtown and the Beaches!

This neighborhood, Davis Shores, is a safe and quite with its location unmatched to accessing St Augustine historic downtown, the island attractions including the lighthouse, alligator zoo and of course the beaches. We are a mere 5 blocks or 1/2 mile to the Bridge of Lions which leads directly into downtown.

Casa Mahon is located only 5 blocks from the foot of the Bride of Lions with the other side of the bridge is historic downtown awaits you. You and your family can walk to downtown from the house which is only a 1/2 mile from the island side of the bridge of Lions. Whether you set out to downtown in the morning or decide to take a stroll into downtown after dinner, walking is a great option for some.

One could also rent bikes and ride to downtown. Another option is to drive and park your car close to the base of the Bridge of Lions and walk across to downtown.

This gives you three (3) good options to get to downtown without the expense and time consuming hassle of finding parking downtown. Remember, if you park in the main downtown parking garage you will have to walk a good bit since the garage is located just outside downtown on the north side of town.

Besides the fantastic location, our property boasts of several outstanding features a family will enjoy and remember for many years. This includes a huge fully enclosed courtyard with 9 foot high walls creating a total private sanctuary for eating, cooking, conversation or relaxing around the firepit.

The house offers 2 gathering spaces. The Living Room, open to the kitchen and dining area and is the perfect space to unwind, gather and socialize. Warm tones and comfortable furnishings create an inviting and alluring atmosphere. Whether you want to enjoy a quiet evening watching your favorite show on the flat-screen TV, lose yourself in a good book on the cozy sofa, or engage in lively conversations with friends and family, this room is thoughtfully designed to cater to a variety of relaxation preferences. There is a “drop zone” with plenty of hooks for hanging your items. Finally, the living room has a desk to check in with the office with your laptop.

The Family Room is Casa Mahon’s 2nd gathering area with a fantastic view of the courtyard. Whether the kids are watching movies, playing games or reading books or the adults want a more intimate setting, the family room is just that!

The family room features a large flat screen television, numerous board games, a library of books. In addition, we dedicated a shelving unit to family entertainment. This includes books & DVD’s for adults and a selection of young kid books for reading and Storytime!

Casa Mahon features four bedrooms, each offering a haven of fun and tranquility creating a relaxing and unforgettable experience. Our uniquely themed bedrooms to include “Pirate’s Hideaway”, “On the Beach”, “Under the Sea” and “Captain’s Quarters.” The plush beds, cozy bed linens, soothing decor, and subtle lighting create an ambiance conducive to a restful night's sleep. Generous storage space for your personal belongings and an on-suite bathroom in the captain’s quarters adds to the primary renter’s convenience.
