Welcome to the Sea Horse Cottage!

Step back in time to this lovely creek-side cottage. This cottage was renovated with new bathrooms, showers, kitchen, floors, beaded board, upgraded cabinets, and decorated with Bald Head Island in mind. If you love Harbour Village and the close walking proximity to stores, Jules' Restaurant, Boathouse for brunch, Whil of the Wisp, the beach and ferry, you will love the location of the Sea Horse Cottage. The views are breathtaking from the expansive waterfront porches. Enjoy the screened in porch on the 1st floor or sunbathe and relax overlooking the water views on the 2nd floor. Your kids will love the bunk room that sleeps 2 in the loft. It has the best views in the house from the top bunk, including Old Baldy Lighthouse. Enjoy reading your book or watching an evening thunderstorm from the wrap around 360 degree windows and views. Creek and Marsh front location!

This is a naturalist paradise, enjoy birding, including a variety of wildlife, dolphins in the creek and great water views from the 2nd floor deck. Enjoy quick access to paddle boarding and kayaks on the creek just a short walk from the house.

This is technically 2.5 bedrooms, the upstairs loft, while perfect for older children is not a true full bedroom.

A BHI Club Membership is available but not included.

3 Day Stay stays off season are available, please inquire for details and rates.

Taxes are not included, and are an additional 12.75%

The Master Bedroom is located conveniently on the 1st floor and offers a king size bed and screened porch accessed through French doors. The Master bath features a full tiled double shower with multiple shower heads, marble counters and ample storage space. The Master Bedroom also features a flat screen TV.

The guest room on the 1st floor offers a queen size bed, water views and private bath along with access to a screened porch. Your children or guests will love watching their favorite movies on the flat screen TV.

The loft features 2 built in twin bunk beds.

This home is NOT PET FRIENDLY.

This home will satisfy the most discriminating vacationer and is sure to make your Bald Head Island vacation one to come back to year after year. The new owners have made many updates including high speed wireless, bikes, beach chairs and rocking chairs.

We do not maintain or advertise bicycles at the home, you may rent bikes at Riverside Adventure or Coastal Urge on the Island.

This property is a non smoking property, including the exterior porches and surrounding areas.

A Terrific Harbor Hideaway!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very pleased with my stay at Sea Horse Cottage. In fact, the pictures do not do it justice. Perfect for a small family not needing more than two private bedrooms. The master was an oasis and the guest room was perfect for those not demanding a private bathroom. The "lighthouse" at the top with two bunks with two bunks is picturesque and very cute. The only downside is having to whisper in the family room while the kids fall asleep just up the stairs. The golf cart and garage were perfect and the kitchen and amenities were welcoming. Harbor Village is a great place for families wanting eye candy and not needing an expansive private compound. Bald Head Island is a special place and the Sea Horse Cottage made the stay enjoyable.

Highly recommend

This house was perfect for our family of 4. Nicely laid out house, reverse layout like most of the homes on BHI. Beds were comfortable, living spaces and kitchen were more than adequate and functional. We loved the location near the harbor to walk to restaurants and Sand Piper. Highly recommend.

The view of the marsh is wonderful. The house was very clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. We love the kitchen and the thought that has gone into organizing it. Thanks to the owner for maintaining this home as a rental!
