Remodeled and tastefully designed St. Paul cottage that is casually comfortable and modern. Weâve put our heart into restoring this side by side duplex that contains many of the original architectural features from the 1930âs. Private and in a great neighborhood, youâll have one of the units all to yourself. You wonât lack for comfort, quiet, and calm in our cottage.
The cottage is a fully renovated 1200 sq. ft. space with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. The living area comes with a comfortable couch and lounge area perfect for relaxing, watching the large screen Smart TV, taking advantage of our super fast WiFi, or reading under the light of a modern Italian lamp.
The kitchen is sleek and modern with black cabinetry, brass fixtures and stainless steel appliances. It is loaded with everything you need. Love coffee? We do! We provide a couple different ways to make coffee. We have a drip machine or you can use the large stainless steel french press. At our coffee station you'll find sugar (and non-sugar sweeteners), and creamers. We also provide a grinder for whole bean do it yourselfers. Enjoy a variety of different teas as well because we love tea too.
The dining room features an antique gothic pendant light, mid-century modern table, and plush velvet seating.
The bedrooms are comfortable and quiet with new award-winning mattresses. The main floor bedroom has a mid century vibe with a queen bed and the highly reviewed Helix Dusk mattress (voted one of the most popular mattresses for comfort and support). Up a few small stairs is another bedroom, secluded and very quiet with a king bed featuring the Bear mattress, known for modern cooling technology to provide great sleep.
There is ample on street parking in front of the cottage. The neighborhood has many walkable attractions, places to eat, local shopping stores.
We live in Minneapolis but are always on call and will be exceptionally responsive to our guests needs or questions.
Convenient to excellent breweries, cafes, and restaurants: Rose Patisserie, Yum, Magic Noodle, French Meadow Bakery and Cafe, and many other fantastic choices all nearby. If youâre in the mood for cooking in our modern kitchen, Whole Foods is 3 Âœ blocks away (an 8 minute walk).
Our modern cottage is near 5 universities: Macalester, Concordia, Hamline, University of St. Thomas, and St. Catherine University! Great for parents visiting their college kids! Or, if you are looking to explore everything that Minneapolis / St. Paul has to offer, our cottage is an equally short ride from the downtown areas of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Enjoy activities year round. Only blocks from the beautiful Allianz Field where the Minnesota United play. Catch a Twins, Vikings, Wild, or Timberwolves game. Check out a concert in downtown St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center. Walk along the Mississippi. Youâll love exploring the Twin Cities and then coming back to a quiet and comfortable home. Whether youâre in town for a girls / guys weekend, for work, or just to tour one of Americaâs best cities (or two of them âș), our modern cottage will make you feel at home.
There is plenty of on street parking in front of the cottage. The cottage is also closely located to public bus lines, airport shuttle, and a light rail station.
I94 and 35E are close by and make driving into downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis easy.
