Raven's Nest - pet friendly, hot tub, enchanted
Summary:
Need a large, yet intimate place for that family vacation you kept postponing? A spacious place where your eclectic tribe can get together for a weekend to relax and bond? A space for that work team-building trip where you want to include everyone but also provide enough personal space as needed? Look no further! Raven's Nest is the perfect choice for you! Located in the quaint mountain town of Cascade - Chipita Park, close to hundreds of tourist attractions and city life, you will not miss out.
The Space:
The quirky yet spacious house is located on a quiet street with a long, private driveway. Surrounded by tall pines and aspens, it is very private and gives a sense of seclusion, but very close to town and lots and lots of local attractions.
Including four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one with a jetted deep tub and one with a large, double shower stall, two living spaces, a galley kitchen with high quality appliances combined with all gadgets and utensils you may need to cook and serve gourmet meals right in the big dining space which can accommodate up to 12 people. Very private outdoor hot tub for 8 people. Large deck, shaded patio, an expansive enchanted fenced-in yard with many pathways and sitting areas. Amazing mountain views are complimentary ;-) We are sure that every one in your group will find their favorite spot.
With great forest and mountain views, rustic decor and comfortable furniture, Raven's Nest is guaranteed to enhance your Rocky Mountain experience. With plenty of space to comfortably accommodate larger groups, lots of parking, including a two car driveway below the house and multiple car parking on the driveway above. Four Smart TVs, High Speed Internet, Nest Thermostat, central heating, pellet stove in the main living room, electric fireplace in Master bedroom, gas barbecue grill and outdoor fire pit, a good selection of board and card games, puzzles, your only problem will come up when it is time to leave.
Guests will enjoy complete access to all amenities on the property as the sole guests, excluding one locked closet off the main hallway. We do not offer cable TV or a phone landline. All our TVs are smart TVs and provide free access to Netflix and HULU or you can log into your own preferred streaming networks. . Cell phone coverage is very good throughout the house and enhanced by WiFi connection.
Great for large families, reunion events, work team building or just a romantic weekend away from the hustle of the city, Raven's Nest is pet friendly so no one is missing out on the fun.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole space except a locked supply closet. The house sits above the street level and not easily visible. Guests can park on the bottom driveway (maximum two vehicles) and climb a flight of steps to reach the RED gate to the surrounding yard. Or, especially if carrying luggage, access the long, newly paved driveway to the right side of the neighbor's red house and follow the left turn until the end. You will enter the YELLOW gate, down the short flight of steps and find the main entry door with a smart lock under the portico. A code for the main entry door will be sent to you before checkin.
The Neighborhood:
Part of a small, quiet mountain town with easy access to 24 Hwy, Raven's Nest is within walking distance to hiking trails and Green Mountain Falls Gazebo Lake. Stop at the Mucky Duck restaurant where you can enjoy local live music on Saturday nights, have breakfast anytime of the day at The Pantry, or take a 10 minute drive to Woodland Park for an array of picturesque shops and restaurants while enjoying amazing views on the way. For a quick supply/grocery stop there is a Walmart in Woodland Park less than 10 minutes away and several other grocery stores including Natural Grocers for specialty items.
Getting Around:
This cabin makes a good home base for trips to many nearby tourist attractions including Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, The Manitou Incline, Seven Falls, Old Colorado Springs, U.S. Olympic Training Center, North Pole Santa’s Workshop, Eleven Mile State Park, Cog Railway and many others.
Guests who love the outdoors will find great hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, golfing, fishing nearby.
Other Things to Note:
Checkout time:
We pride ourselves in providing a clean and tidy space for all our guests. Due to high interest and accepting same day reservations, we want to allow our cleaners all necessary time to thoroughly complete cleaning and disinfecting tasks. For this reason we are not able to accommodate late checkout requests. Please plan accordingly and book the correct amount of days as to allow for a prompt 11 AM checkout time. A late checkout fee of $250 will be added to your reservation costs if house is not vacant by 11:30 AM.
Sleeping arrangements:
Raven's Nest can accommodate up to 12 guests per reservation. Please read carefully through this section before booking as it might not be the best fit for every group.
The place comes with one king size bed in the very private, lower master suite. Two queen size beds, one of these inside the back bedroom and one inside a secondary suite located at the main level and completed with a large workspace, a full bathroom, built-in wardrobe and a low ceiling loft bed area accessible through a fixed wood ladder. One other small bedroom is furnished with the younger members of your group in mind. It comes with a full size daybed with trundle. The trundle is fitted with a twin size mattress and all necessary bedding. This bedroom also includes a loft accessible with a fixed wood ladder which had been furnished to entertain the young and not so young guests. The two common living spaces both have pullout sofas. Bedding for the red pullout sofa could be found inside the wood entry chest bench nearby. Grey pullout sofa in the front room contains needed bedding inside the chaise section. Just lift up the cushion. Soft mattress toppers are available inside the supply closet downstairs off the master suite hallway for added comfort. Feel free to use as needed.
Traffic noise:
Hwy 24 is close enough to be seen from the house and some muffled traffic noise could be heard from the deck and outdoor areas.
Hot tub:
Maintenance services are being preformed before and after each reservation. Please follow the Hot Tub rules posted inside the nearest bathroom and on the outdoor storage box next to the hot tub. Needed chemicals and supplies are available inside the box or inside the vanity cabinet (during winter time). Keep covered at all times when not in use and secure with the 6 river rocks as you found it to prevent occasional heavy winds from blowing the cover open. Please reach out if you need any assistance with the hot tub during your stay.
Mobility needs guests:
Access to and from the house requires you climb and/or descent some narrow steps which might not be ideal for guests with restricted mobility. There are also some steps around the house, including climbing fixed ladders to access one of the queen size beds and a separate neat play den in one of the two house lofts. Please check in with your group to ensure this is not an issue before booking.
Roads condition:
A 4 WD vehicle is A MUST during snow season ( October - May) to be able to access the house. The roads are maintained and cleared by the county, but even though we do our best to keep our driveways clear of snow, the long driveway is on a steep incline and very hard to navigate with a non 4 WD if only a small amount of snow / ice settles in. Please reach out to your host with any questions prior to planning your trip.
Our place is pet friendly. We can accommodate up to three (3) pets per reservation. If you plan to bing your pet/pets, please include that into your pre-booking message and acknowledge you have read and understood our Pets section of House Rules.
Reservations of 14+ days will be subject to a deep cleaning fee. Please ask your host for details prior to booking.
Interaction with Guests:
Your host lives and works in Woodland Park, about 20 minutes away. She is easy to reach via Airbnb messaging system or by text or phone call for emergencies. Phone number is available post booking.

Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous êtes reçu par Oana Henderson

Born and raised in Romania, I moved to US in my early twenties. I travelled and lived in many states since but felt a deep connection with beautiful Colorado and especially the Rockies and decided to catch roots over here. Being able to share this piece of heaven with guests from all over the country and abroad is what I love most about hosting.
