The location of this house is absolutely perfect to stroll downtown in 2 min to shops, restaurants and harbor. House is full of historical charm with plenty of space and great outdoor yard space. Look forward to returning!
This rental was perfect for our group of friends on annual weekend trip. The location couldnât be better, a very short walk to everything downtown. The house is spacious and full of historic charm. Great yard as well. We hope to return!
This home was located in a perfect location and full of New England charm. We were able to walk around easily due to the convenient location. Additionally, the house had great outdoor space, which we enjoyed due to unexpected nice weather. We were also able to use the beach chairs and towels, which was a great perk.
Large historic home, great yard and great for groups
Our group of 9 absolutely loved this home!
A short walk from the ferries, and even closer to downtown, this home is ideally situated for any number of events on the island.
The large bedrooms and unique layout of the house allowed for all of us to feel like we had our own space, but also could spend time together in the yard, kitchen, or living room.
The yard on the side of the house was perfect for an engagement proposal. The lawn is perfectly manicured with privacy shrubs and gorgeous blooming rhododendrons.
We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend anyone interested!
family gathering (NJ/MT/MA/NY) to celebrate a wedding. Older generation (siblings) fully enjoyed investigating the old house; younger generation (cousins) just loved being together again. Thanks for a wonderful stay with such a convenient location.
Excellent location within a short walk to many landmarks or shops in town. This beautiful home made our large family comfortable during a wedding weekend.
We had a great stay and the home was prefect for our group of friends. The location to town could not be better, a quick walk to restaurants but still on a quiet street. We would definitely rent again!
Ideally located, the home is inviting and comfortable for a group of about 10. Large kitchen table, dining table, outside table, family room and lawn with chairs that each accommodate 10 easily. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots/pans, serving platters, dishes, etc. that you might need. We cooked in a couple nights and had a great time!
Casual and comfortable, the house shows its age, but that is not a concern. (However, if you are looking for updated with amenities - it's probably not the right fit). Bathrooms are a bit dated, but again, everything that one would need. Plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs. The host is super-gracious, so you can feel confident renting. I can't think of a better location for walking to town, without hearing the town noise. There is one very nice master bedroom, a reasonably large second bedroom, then the rest are smaller (so better for kids/family, rather than couple friends who might feel they didn't get one of the better bedrooms). Thank you to our host!
Seths house is a beautiful, historic, well equipped property. We ended up with 9 adults and 2 infants and there was more than enough room. A couple minute walk from shopping, less than 10 minute walk from the ferry, a block from historic Main Street. Spacious kitchen, living room, garden and patio for relaxing and family time. Seth has a comprehensive house manual in the kitchen that lays out any questions one might have. We highly recommend a stay here!
What a great house to share with close friends and family. Truly showcased the best that Nantucket has to offer. Host was very easy to work with. Will be coming back!
As detailed in the property listing, this grand old house in the center of Nantucket made for a great stay for our family and friends. Seth was great in responding to our questions and helping with the threat of a major hurricane to start our week!
The Liberty Street house is the perfect way to experience Nantucket--two blocks from Main Street, thus walking distance to all the town's activities. The house itself conveys the charm of historic Nantucket, but with all the modern conveniences. Its large, well-supplied kitchen provided lots of room for my three daughters and myself as we prepared meals. My favorite part, however, was the large teak table outdoors where we had all our dinners, surrounded by beautiful blue hydrangeas bathed in the evening sunlight. The side yard also was perfect for the grandkids to play games and run around. The owner provided clear instructions within a bound manual, as well as easy communication with him via email/text. We had a wonderful week in Nantucket, enhanced by the comfortable Liberty Street home.
First off, this house is very OLD - built in 1793! But that is part of what makes it so amazing and really gives off that old Nantucket charm! We had a group of 10 with PLENTY of room to spread out! You really can't get a better location - walking distance to town, restaurants, shopping, and the beach! There is also a large outdoor table in the backyard, where we spent a good amount of time. We also thought the price wasn't bad (especially for Nantucket lol.) Overall would highly recommend this home for a group trip and would love to come back! Thank you to the host, Seth, for such a great stay!
Spent Memorial Day Weekend at this property and couldn't have asked for a better vacation rental. The "Old Nantucket" charm of this house is hard to do justice with words and pictures. We were oohing and ahhhing over it the minute we walked in. The location of the house was convenient to everything downtown and the ferry. Highly Recommended!
We had a great time at 23 Liberty in Nantucket. It's a great old house with lots of early 1800's charm and fantastic quiet location a very short walk to the center of Nantucket town and all the shops and restaurants.
Plenty of bedrooms for the extended family and all were surprisingly quiet!
Beautiful side and backyard for relaxing, grilling and playing with our little grandchildren.
I would absolutely recommend staying at 23 Liberty. Our group consisted of 12 people, though there are enough beds for 14. Rooms are large, there are a few without AC, but opening the windows made it very comfortable at night. Kitchen is stocked, beach towels are included, and the beach chairs / boogie boards were put to good use. Best part - you cannot beat the location. Easy walk into town, catch the shuttle to/from Cisco Brewery, and convenient access to the Wave.
Very historic, very close to town, can walk to all town events. Small children can play in the yard, playgrounds within walking distance. Good for family reunions, weddings
The house provides a sense of living history, while also providing modern amentities. It was built by a whaling captain and the small house in back, which is separately owned, was his counting house. The original character and beauty of LIberty St has been maintained.
