Beautiful 2BR+Loft Cottage with amazing views!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The cottage sits at the highest point on the river, with a deck & fire pit overlooking the river providing a breath taking view from sunrise to sunset! Theres a cozy loft for sleeping, and a sun room where you can relax and read all day long. 1/2mile away you have access to 100s of miles of trails for hiking and ATVs. Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.

The space
***Some of our comforters are goose down, if you are allergic to bird feather, please let us know and we will use our other comforters. Also there are peanuts, please let us know and we can remove these items.***

This cottage can sleep 8 people comfortably. The loft is a private area located above the bedrooms and provides an additional 3 single beds for sleeping. A dedicated workspace is also located in the sunroom if you need to work! The fire pit offers an amazing view all day and night which creates a very romantic and private setting.

We do not provide items such as charcoal, or firewood. If a previous guest leaves any of these items, we will leave them out for use but this is not something we provide. We do have a full kitchen as well as all of the cooking utensils needed for a simple BBQ

For people looking for adventure, we are 45 minutes away from Houghton Lake for lake activities and ATV rentals. ATV rental is also available right around the corner. Also within 45 minutes is Whites Campground and Rifle River campground, both offering affordable kayak, canoe, and tube rentals to float down the river! Shuttle included. You have instant access to hundreds of miles of trails, and yard games in the shed outside as well as board games in the house! We hope you enjoy this super cozy cottage. Guest access
Guests have access to the main house, the sun room, the back yard, the fire pit and the dock to walk down to the river, but **due to the overgrowth there is no instant access** to the river from our cottage at this time. There are several lakes and river access, tubing and ATV rentals all within a 45 minute drive. Be sure to bring towels if you intend to visit the lakes as we only provide 1 towel per guest for cottage use.

Other things to note
Please be respectful in remembering that this is a cottage! We run on a septic and well system, oils down the sink will ruin our septic, so we have jars under the sink for you to use. Also flushing anything other than the toilet paper provided (no ‘flushable wipes’, no tampons, etc) will clog and hurt our septic system. Sometimes well water has a scent! It is still safe to drink, and has natural minerals and no nasty chemicals like city water.
