This is the Guest House of the Main House. Homeaway nr. 3581248, 200 yards from the main house. The main house sleeps 8. Both places together will sleep 12 persons 300 acres of private forest with fishing pond and lots of wildlife.Very quiet. 2 bedrooms - 4 people max. Wide covered terrace with gas grill, modern kitchen with dishwasher and laundry machine. Close to Pushaw Lake. Kayacs, Canoe, Pedalo and life vests available. Beautiful view to pond. Gazebo and outdoor fireplace. Only 20 minutes from Bangor and Orono. Lots of restaurants, museums and shopping centers. 48 Miles to Bar Harbor coast and whale watching. Golf course within 10 minutes. lots of wildlive. No hunting and no discharge of firearms.

Cozy apartment in the woods and close to city

Very nice and spacious. Well appointed kitchen and nice bathroom. Terrace was nice sitting with morning coffee. Wifi was good. Loved it.

Quiet and relaxing

My wife and I were looking for a quiet, private and relaxing place to stay which was conveniently located in Maine. That is exactly what we got when we stayed at this property. Andrea, the property manager was great and helped ensure that we had a good visit.

An Enjoyable Few Days

Bernhard Martin was a fine host. His unit was large, clean, and well equipped. He had a large bonfire one evening where we met his neighbors and enjoyed a variety of food and drinks. His associate Andreas let us use his kayaks on beautiful Pushaw Lake. If you like swimming in lakes and kayaking it is a great location. We enjoyed a little bit of Swiss hospitality in the middle of Maine.

Family Reunion

This location worked well for a weekend Family Reunion (off-site). We enjoyed having our own kitchen and having other family members staying at the other Vrbo on property. With our toddler, we were a little nervous with the gap between the stairs and the garage. The bedroom set up worked for us as we had 3 adults and one child, but two adults would have been tight in the 2nd bedroom if that had been our grouping. Overall, we had a good stay and were thankful to find this property available for the weekend we needed. It was fun to be in the woods of Maine!

University of Maine graduation

Instead of staying at a stuffy hotel in Bangor, we opted to stay at this cozy location for our stay for UMaine graduation. It did not disappoint! Comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Andrea was great with communication. There is nothing better than sitting on the porch dinking coffee while listing to the orchestra of birds. This is a peaceful retreat.

The property is such a peaceful and serene environment its truly a gem. The caretaker was so kind, considerate and patience that made us feel so welcome. Gracious to accept our grandchildren unexpectedly after a terrible experience with American Airlines and went above and beyond anything we expected to help entertain the children with games to play outside as well as the private access to the lake with kayaks. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Best bnb experience, worth every penny.

Incrediable

The owner went out of his way to show us his incrediable hospitality. He gave us tours of the property and the landing to the lake that the property shares with the community. Martin allowed us to share his "toys" of his kayaks, paddle boats and canoe. He also gave us a tour of the 11 mile ,man made lake on his pontoon. My husband especially liked the fishing he could do on the lake, on which he caught some fish.The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property and this owner.

Return for hometown visit with youngest brother, plus a little fishing and sightseeing.

The lakeside log cabin that we finally stayed in, in lieu of the two bedroom apartment that I originally signed up, was due to my brother's physical limitations. He couldn't negotiate the stairs to the upper level location. Andrea, the property manager, was most accomodating to us to offer the ground level cabin situated right on the lake for our substitute residence. It was perfect. All knotty pine interior, including the custom made knotty pine furniture. Perfect views of blue sky day and sunsets on the lake through a whole wall of windows and small side porch. Gas stove, refridgerator, dishwasher and radio/CD player personal music. Bunk eds on main floor and Queen bed with comforter in loft. Fans for all rooms. Just picture perfect. I will definitely rent again.

Modern apartment in a nature setting

Great, very clean and spacious apartment that has everything you will need to have a relaxing stay away from home. Everything is in like new condition and we loved that it was very clean. A little down the road (3 minutes driving/10 minutes walking) you hav access to a large lake and I was amazed by its beauty and quietness. You are allowed to use the canoes and paddle boards there and my family and I had a fun time trying them out. We only stayed for a couple of days but we know there was much more on the property and in the surrounding that we could have explored. I am amazed once again about all the beautiful places the US has to offer and that we have no idea existed. Push away Lake is definitely one of those places. The property is a little off the beaten path, but just a short drive from town and still in drivable distance to Arcadia National Park. Andrea, the caretaker of the property, is a really kind and caring person. He showed us around and was checking to see how we were doing. He is very easy going and also helped us with the boats when we wanted to try them. All in all a great experience.

wonderfull and remote

The appartment is above a Garage where the owner keeps his classic car collection. So no noise from driving in and out. One has a view to the pond which is 200 yards away. Lots of wildlife and birds.The beds are very comfortable and there is nothing missing in the kitchen. Big Bathroom with jetted tub.The place is perfect for 4 people. It took us 7 minutes to walk to the lake access where we used the cayacs and canue. We even saw an eagle fishing on the pond. The water was so pleasant for simming. Its not even 20 min. drive to bangor and the shopping malls and we drove. 90 minutes to Bar Harbor. Also. 90 minutes to Greenville where we went for white water rafting. This place is perfect and so cheap. 1 small. hotelroom would cost more. Bernhard was there also and helped with everything we needed.We could use his Gazebo with seating and table to enyoy a glass of wine looking at the wildlive in the evening. We will come back. A. Peaceful, quite, and clean rental

Our rental was exactly as described. The property manager was a perfect host. The rental was the cleanest. All the ammenities met our needs. The fees were really reasonable compared to other rentals.. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Vacation

We stayed with our family and loved the unit. Bernard was super helpful and checked in with us multiple times to see if we needed anything. The unit super nice and clean. We are planning another visit later this summer!!

Great Launchpad for Acadia

The space was very comfortable & had everything we could possibly need! It’s delightfully off the beaten path & we loved the drive through the tree-lined roads everyday marveling at the gorgeous fall colors. Google maps puts the house further down the street than it actually is, so pay attention to the numbers. The only thing we found a bit odd (especially during covid times) was the tour when we first arrived, I think that should really have been optional. I’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and this was the first time someone toured me around the apartment. 2 bedrooms, a bathroom & a kitchen - not a lot to figure out, and we’d just been driving for 9 hours, we wanted to unpack & settle in. He also didn’t wear a mask, & instead of trying to make us comfortable by putting one on, he just said “oh I haven’t worn one in a long time.” We we’re less than thrilled and couldn’t wait for him to leave. Not sure why they didn’t just supply the code in the check-in instructions as a covid-safe check-in instead.

Perfect and very quiet

This property is exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. We used it as a quiet, secluded home base to explore the Acadia area. That area is very busy so having a quiet place to come back to was perfect for us. The caretaker met us and showed us the property and was available if we’d had any issues which we didn’t. Bangor is just 10-15 minutes away which is nice also.

Visit home

My wife and I return to Bangor every year to visit our friends. We are familiar with the Pushaw Lake area and wanted to stay in this area. The apartment was across the road from the lake and Andrea let us know there were kayaks and a canoe at his home on the lake that we could use if we liked. Great stay.
