This was an absolutely wonderful house! The kitchen is so well stocked they have everything you need to cook anything you want! Absolutely would stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay at "Seventh Heaven" in Steamboat. It is really well-located -- an easy walk to the shops and restaurants downtown. The house is charming, with lots of space and ample bedrooms for a good-sized group. Would happily stay there again.
We rented this wonderful home to celebrate a birthday and have a great weekend away with our friends. We had 12 adults in the house and there was plenty of room. The home was very well cared for and the location is unbeatable. We will definitely be back!
It is a lovely beautifully renovated craftsman house. The location is on a wonderful quiet street and an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants in town. It was wonderful for our group of 9 family members to gather. The large kitchen is well stocked and great for preparing family meals together. The dining room sat all 9 of us for meals and family games together. The outdoor deck is pleasant with a propane grill, table w six chairs and hot tub. The house was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the 3 off street parking spots on the driveway, including one in the garage. We would stay there again!
We stayed a week here in July. This house is right downtown. Great for walking to anything: the rodeo, the art festival, the river to tube, restaurants. Also great location for all the Emerald trails if you are a mountain biker. The trails start right behind the rodeo grounds and are wonderful.
Lots of room (we had 8 adults, 5 kids) when pull out couches are used. Kitchen is up to date and very nice. Rest of house is in great shape too. Outdoor hottub on the deck was a real hit at night too.
Price was good too. Overall an excellent experience.
We had a fantastic stay in Steamboat. After a long drive there was a bit of a surprise in that there was no A/C (I understand this isnât standard issue) BUT the home owner had plenty of fans to make directional airflow. With the cool night temperatures all was right. This wouldnât havenât been possible without the attention to detail by the property owner.
Check-in process was seamless. We received a callback when informing management that we might be later than office hours (thank you for the note in our email to remind us to do this). In the end this was a fantastic way to see Steamboat all while being able to walk to the Main Street.
Big House, Solid For a large group, Free Shuttle to Mtn
House is getting a little worn although comfortable. Easy walk for dinner to town but difficult to town bus with gear. Free shuttle was a nice surprise. The management company made our stay challenging. Arguing to get the snow removed 3 different times seems unnecessary given the cost of this rental. They are not prepared and it seems we are not the only renters that have had this issue. Hopefully they get a handle on this.
We had a group of nine guys on an annual ski trip and have stayed in many rental homes. The Seventh Heaven Chalet was great for us. The home was as advertised and is located just a 10 minute walk from downtown Steamboat. It's not as modern as many rental homes, and the TV was a bit small and outdated for watching the Super Bowl, but these were minor complaints.
Retreatia's free shuttle to the Steamboat base was invaluable. Your other options are crowded buses or distant parking lots. You can schedule your departure and pick-up times on the shuttle or take the next available - it's done on an app on your phone. We got dropped and picked up every day about 100 feet from where we put on our skis and boards (ask for pickup/drop off by Cafe Diva). Awesome. I bet that saved us close to an hour of travel every day, the drivers were great, and it was FREE.
Pros
Location!! House is a short walk to downtown, with access to shops, restaurants, grocery, etc. It was great to leave the car behind.
House is very spacious, spread out over three levels. It allowed for a hang out space for teens (basement level) and separate area for adults. Plenty of bedroom/bathrooms to fit our needs.
Kitchen was fully stocked. We cooked a lot of our own meals and the kitchen had all we needed.
Cons
The furniture needs some updating. Couches and chairs have been well loved; no cushion left on them. Outside chairs are beginning to tear. Thus, all spaces throughout the house need new pieces.
The master bedroom needs a King size bed for the tall(er) guests. The bedroom is very spacious and can easily accommodate it.
The non-stick cookware is really worn out, and even flaking off the Teflon coating.
Overall, it was a great stay. Adults and teens alike really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again, especially if the above listed items have been addressed.
We stayed with our group of 12 and two dogs for over the Christmas holiday 2018. The house was very clean. There was more than enough plates, utensils and cooking dishes for the chef we hired Christmas Eve to serve 22 people. The furnishings are showing some age and the pillows need to be replaced. The bedding was comfortable and clean. The hot tub always worked - which is important to us. We have rented places where the hot tub had to be serviced during our stay and that is annoying.
The house is not as close as we thought to downtown. It is a good 4-5 block walk. On a couple occasions a few from our group would walk home from bars or restaurants after the shuttle stopped, but for the most part we took the shuttle everywhere. We did enjoy the downtown location to walk our dogs around the neighborhood. The shuttle was essential for our group. We had people coming and going to and from the slopes all throughout the day at different times. It was worth the $99 a day for us to have the door to door transport. We rarely had to wait longer than 10 minutes and the drivers were courteous.
We rented this house because we wanted to bring our dogs for Christmas and we had a large group. We usually rent pricier luxury accommodations so I may be a little critical. Overall for the price we paid, we were satisfied with the home. I would definitely recommend for people with pets.
The property was in a great neighborhood w/in walking distance to Lincoln & Yampa streets & shops. The check-in process was a terrible experience as the person I spoke w/was not pleasant or informed of the property. They also gave us the incorrect house keys. We had to drive back to the office to get the correct keys. Broken window screens, worn out dishes & pots/pans, uncomfortable beds & bedding. Very worn out property for the amount we paid for our stay. I wouldnât recommend to stay at this property.
The check in process keys at 4 office closed at 5 permits the renter no easy recourse when a property is sub par
Dark, worn linens, with uncomfortable beds
Couch worn and at least one section is broken
Wasps in the hot tub
NO large towels for the hot tub
In general Shabby!
We went on a weekend trip to Steamboat with our family and stayed at this property. The property is conveniently located walking distance to the downtown area. We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping. The hot tub was a hit with the young adults.
Great spot. The master bedroom is a huge suite. Lots of room for the whole family. Very clean, and check-in was straightforward. It was very convenient for exploring downtown. We would definitely stay here again.
Great house a few blocks from Main street. Plenty of room for our group of 9 gravel bike riders. Big kitchen that is well stocked with cookware and utensils. Nice deck with bbq for hanging out in the afternoon.
The house, property, and neighborhood are amazing. The location couldn't be beat - our family could come and go without organizing cars and rides - as downtown was a 5 minute walk. Retreatria - the property management was very responsive. The house was extremely clean and exactly as pictured on VRBO. I would definitely recommend this house to others!
