The place was a great place to unwind and be by yourself, the town was very neat and the history in the area was interesting. This is a very remote area and great to get some peace and quiet. The house itself was decorated tastefully and was nice and clean. The area was safe and sparsely inhabited. The listing itself is not accurate, it is stated it is a 2 bedroom, however the "2nd" bedroom is a set of bunkbeds in the dining room, with no doors. The one bedroom only has a double bed in it. The listing states there is a hot tub, I never could find one. There was no instructions on how to access the wifi. The listing states it can accommodate 6, this would be very crowded and uncomfortable if that many people were in the house. It would be better listed as an off grid paradise for 2 people, and take out the bunkbeds.
The property wasn't what we thought. To start we had to wait an hour while it rained to get in. She didnt have our keys ready. The place was not secluded. I had some weird neighbor come and talk to me about whether I had permission to have a fire. The google map took us down this 5 mile dirt road. That when it rains, u can easily get stuck. We almost did. I found a longer but safer route. U should have made a point about that so noone gets stuck. The people in Chloride were nice. It was cool seeing and experiencing Chloride. The town is very ghost town like and has a cool history. I wouldn't recommend this house for a vacation spot though. No privacy!! The house was real dirty. Lots of Dog hair everywhere. Kept getting other peoples dog hair on us. The only cool thing was visiting Kingman and Oatman but u dont need to stay in Chloride to do that. The restaurant Yesterdays couldn't get a simple hamburger order right. Waitress was nice but I wouldn't go back.Very over priced for a small burger that was over cooked and the cook made them all the same. Put everything on them anyways. No matter what our request was. It shouldn't be hard to make a plain burger for a kid.
I have always lived in the desert and enjoyed wildlife so once I visited Chloride I knew this was my happy place and I wanted others to feel the inner peace that it brings to our family.
I love watching the deer and the cows roam around and I love the Mountain view and the way this town allows you to feel like it must have felt back in the 20's.
