Jun – Evergreen Rodeo – Two days of rodeo performances and a Saturday parade held over Father’s Day Weekend in mid-June.

Jul – Evergreen Jazz Festival – Three-day traditional jazz festival in a beautiful mountain setting, with nearly a dozen bands and numerous intimate venues.

Jul – Evergreen Summerfest – Thousands attend this festival in Buchanan Park. It showcases arts, crafts, concerts, and beer and wine tastings over two days.

Sept – Hops Drops – Hops Drops, formerly Evergreen Music Festival, is a family-friendly music and beer event with live performances, food vendors, kids’ activities, and plenty of beer from some of Colorado’s best craft breweries.

★★House Rules★★

- HOT TUB -
Please rinse off before using the hot tub. Body oils and lotions will quickly impact the pH levels and balance of the tub pretty quickly making it dirty and unusable. It will be ready and available for your use. We get it serviced and cleaned every Monday, which is more often than the manufacturer's recommendation, just to ensure it stays in working condition.

- SMOKING POLICY -
Please, absolutely no smoking! Unfortunately, a fine will be applied if we have to mitigate any smoke damage or smell in the property after your stay. Thank you for understanding.

- PET POLICY -
We bring our two small dogs to the property for our vacations, and you should also be able to. We allow two small dogs during your stay, and there is a nominal pet fee to accommodate our cleaners for their extra work. But please remember that there will be guests enjoying the property after you. With that in mind, please ensure that your pet is FULLY potty trained and that you clean up after your furry friend (inside and outside).

- PARTIES -
We are a family-friendly property and do not allow parties. If a party is discovered, there will be a fine of $1000 + any damages that occur.

- WINTER WEATHER WARNING -
This is the Rockies, so you must have an appropriate vehicle (4WD/AWD) when you stay with us in the winter. This is for your safety!

- HOME MAINTENANCE TEAM -
We have a great team of maintenance workers who might visit the house during your stay. Our Hut tub gets cleaned every Monday, and our trash gets taken out on Thursdays. Our team will do its best to remain discreet, allowing you to enjoy your privacy. We just want to make you aware in case you see them out of the corner of your eye!

- RANGER RICK'S WILDLIFE RULES -
Many animals are around this area (Deer, Elk, Fox, Coyote, Bear, and more), so please be careful with what you leave outside. We want to refrain from feeding the animals or training them to think they can get a free meal by visiting our property. This can be very dangerous and could harm the animals or another person!

- SMOKEY THE BEAR'S WILDFIRE SAFETY -
The mountain can be very dry during certain times of year. To prevent forest fires started by people (like the devastating Marshall Wildfire in 2021), we ask that you avoid flames when outdoors whenever possible. Keep the mountain safe for us all!

- OUR MOUNTAIN WATER SUPPLY -
Like many others in the area, the house has a healthy water supply, so please be cognizant of your water use. Do not take long showers or back-to-back showers, and do not run the faucets unnecessarily. If you have any water problems, feel free to reach out!

- AMENITY FUNCTIONALITY -
We obviously do everything we can to ensure that every amenity listed is sufficiently cleaned and in proper working order upon your arrival. However, unfortunate circumstances can occur from time to time. If major amenities need to be fixed, we will gladly offer a discount of up to 25% of the nightly stay for each night the amenities are not functioning.

- QUIET TIMES -
Although this is a reasonably secluded location, there are some neighbors around. As such, we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between 10 pm and 8 am, noise should be kept to a minimum. Thank you!

- BREAKAGES -
We understand these things happen! Should you break anything, please let us know immediately so we can replace or repair the item quickly. We want to make sure each item is available for every guest!

- SANITATION POLICY -
For health, sanitation, and property protection reasons, all bodily waste and sanitary activities must take place only in the toilet. Any urination, defecation, vomiting, or other unsanitary actions anywhere else on the property—including indoors or outdoors—are strictly prohibited. Any violation of this rule will result in a $1,000 fine and may lead to immediate removal from the property without refund.

The house is stunning. It was very clean and had a lot of really nice amenities. We spent most of our time on the deck because how could you not? Look at that view. Theres lots of wildlife to watch from the deck also!

Bear Mountain getaway

We came to spend time with family and experience the rebirth and nostalgia of a childhood favorite, Casa Bonita! It is an easy and scenic drive into town from the cabin, we also enjoyed the scenic drive that is Hwy 74, over to red rocks state park. The cabin is as well-equipped as any vrbo we’ve stated at and Brandon was great to communicate with. Always fast response and helpful. Great job hosting.

Spectacular Stay at Bear Mountain Adventure Barn!

Staying at Bear Mountain Adventure Barn was the best way to experience Colorado for the first time! The home is spectacular, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the Denver skyline. It’s incredibly well-equipped and had plenty of space for our family of eight. One of the highlights was the easy access to hiking on the Independence Trail, right outside the back door! It made exploring the beauty of Colorado even more convenient. Anastasia and Brandon were fantastic hosts, responding promptly to our communication and eager to assist with any needs we had. We truly appreciated how accommodating they were. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home! It was a wonderful stay, and we look forward to coming back in the future.

Epic!

Wow! That view is amazing!! We spent hours just sitting a viewing! It’s pretty cool not seeing the city beyond the mountains only to have it light up with twinkling lights at night. While there, we saw a black bear cub, a bigger brown bear, several deer, a fox, and a slew of birds including one that had a nest nearby and liked to buzz us on the deck.We spent a lot of time family bonding in the game room. Our three older teens learned how to play pool and we had many skeeball competitions! We kept intending to play frisbee golf, but never quite made it. Some of us did find the Independence hiking Trail nearby and enjoyed some truly epic views!There were a few minor maintenance things, but the staff came quickly and were truly delightful! They even brought us some box fans due to the unusual heat our first night!All in all, this was an epic place for our family to enjoy, bond, and just relax!!

Great Views of Denver

We had 4 adults, three kids and a dog and the house was great. The location and views were the best part! Communication with the host was phenomenal (immediate responses)! There were lots of amenities like heaters on the deck, pool table, hot tub and FULLY stocked kitchen. The deck in back had a gate at the side so we didn't have to worry about the kids or the dogs escaping. We had a couple of issues but the host resolved them very quickly. The only things I would mention is that the house is aging and with that comes things like some missing screens on the windows so we couldn't open them and a few other windows that we could open had to be propped open with a log. The lighting in the dining room (where we liked to play games) is a bit inadequate so we had to improvise there. But, I'm not lowering my rating because of those things. Mountain houses are supposed to be a bit rustic. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and really didn't want to leave!

This house had incredible mountain views and is in a great location to the city as well as hiking trails. Though there were issues that caused an inconvenience for our group. The main bedroom’s bathroom did not drain water. The sink and shower were unusable as they contained dirty water for our entire stay. This caused some friction with our group of ten guys because we had a long line waiting to shower. I messaged the host about this on the first day but it was never resolved.The property description states it contains a “coffee bar”, but the kitchen only had a non-working Keurig machine. When we emailed the host that it wasn’t working, he promptly replaced it that day, but it was replaced with a tiny five cup coffee pot which only brewed enough to fill two mugs. For a group of ten guys, we had to brew 10 pots of coffee before we were able to start our day.There were also moderate mechanical issues that need to be addressed by the host. The handle on the fridge was broken and kept falling off. The sliding door to the deck was also hard to close since the wheels were stuck and the light bulbs in four of the lamps did not work.Overall, the stay was nice, but the host should fix these inconveniences as the high price of the rental should reflect high quality.

I’m truly sorry the main bathroom’s drainage issue wasn’t resolved during your visit—that’s not the standard of responsiveness I strive for, and I completely understand how that impacted your group’s comfort. I also appreciate your note about the coffee setup; while I was glad to deliver a replacement quickly, I now recognize that it didn’t fully meet the needs of a larger group like yours. Regarding the fridge handle, sliding door, and lightbulbs—thank you for bringing those to my attention. I’ve already repaired and replaced those to ensure everything is in top shape for future guests. Your feedback is incredibly helpful, and I take it seriously. I’m committed to making the necessary improvements so that every guest’s experience matches the high standards we aim to uphold. We’re sorry to see such a low rating, especially since we always strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all of our guests. While no specific comments were left with this review, we do recall that during your stay you shared a few concerns about the property. Our listing clearly notes that the home includes stairs, and we’re always happy to help guests determine whether the layout is a good fit prior to booking. I'm sorry that you were not anticipating the stairs. Regarding the propane, we keep multiple full backup tanks on site for guest use which you were able to find and use agter the propane ran out for you. I am sorry I was not able to have someone come by and switch them out in person. As for the deck, being surrounded by beautiful evergreens means pine needles and leaves can collect between cleanings—something that’s part of the natural mountain setting. It’s also worth mentioning that, in an effort to ensure your comfort, we offered a full refund if you preferred to check out early. You chose to remain for the duration of your stay, which we took as a sign you were still able to enjoy the cabin overall. We do our very best to provide a clean, well-stocked, and accurately represented property, and we’re disappointed this stay didn’t meet your expectations. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to make improvements where possible to ensure all guests have a five-star experience.
