Sun Of A Beach - Across Street From Beach, Private Swimming Pool!

Sun Of A Beach is across the street from the award winning sugar white sand beaches of St. George Island offering unobstructed views of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, and it was renovated in February, 2026! Located in the Gulf Beaches neighborhood, Sun Of A Beach is within walking or biking distance to Island shops, restaurants, St. George Island Lighthouse Museum, playground, fishing pier and MORE.

Sun Of A Beach is well equipped with plenty of parking (under-house concrete and gravel driveway) for your whole crew! The private pool is located in the well manicured fenced in backyard featuring beautiful landscaping.

The welcoming entrance to the ground floor foyer features a second full sized refrigerator with icemaker for convenient access while taking a dip in the Gulf or in our private, sparkling pool.

The first floor features 4 of the 5 bedrooms along with a 2nd living space with comfortable seating, entertainment and access to the porch. On the west side of the 1st floor, there is a twin bedroom (2 twin beds), hallway shared bath and king bedroom with porch access. On the east side of the first floor, there are 2 primary bedrooms with king beds, full private bathrooms and 1 has porch access. The laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer are located on the first floor.

The second floor offers a well appointed kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances for preparing your daily fresh catch! The dining area offers a large table with seating for 8 to10 guests and a breakfast bar with 3 barstools. The living room is just off the dining space featuring a large flat screen TV, super comfy furniture and access to the covered deck to view the beautiful Gulf Coast of St. George Island! Off the living area, you will find the final primary bedroom offering a king bed and a large full private bathroom featuring a soaking tub and stand alone shower plus covered deck access.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of seven enjoyed another great week at St. George Island. This was our second year staying at Sun of a Beach. We love the layout of the house and it is beautifully decorated. We did notice some wear and tear on some of the upholstered furniture but that is to be expected with a rental. We would love to pick this house up and move it to the east end of the island which is our preferred location. But all in all it was a great week!

Great Location and very nice house

Our family enjoyed our week long stay at this property. The house is located steps from the ocean and has a great outdoor pool and space. It was super easy to move from the beach to pool when the kids were tired and ready to come in. The inside was spacious and clean and fit our family of 10 perfectly. We did have some small issues with the property. The pool wasn’t cleaned when we showed up and a sliding door lock had been broken off one of the bedroom doors preventing it from being opened. We called and let management know and they were kind and responsive and said someone would be out the next day. The pool was cleaned 3 days later, which wasn’t a huge problem but maintenance never showed up for the door. All and all, very small issues. We definitely will be back and enjoyed the memories we made in this house!

Our experience with the management and pool company was extremely disappointing. We paid for a heated pool and the kids could comfortably be in the pool one day. Since this was a focal point for our vacation we were very disappointed each day we were told it will be at temperature tomorrow.. The pool person stated on our last days the system was new and she wasn't sure how to use it. At the end of the week when we reached out to the management company no one responded to us. This $480 should all be given back to us for the lack of pool use and the frustration and stories we were told that the poolShould be good tomorrow and this did not happen. Very frustrated with the entire situation.
