We spend a lot of fall weekends in East TN for football games & hate that we haven't found this jewel before now! We'll definitely stay here again when we can! Don't stay in an over-priced hotel when you can stay here! Very nice!
This property is definitely one of our favorites! Impeccably clean and we loved the horse themed decor. If you are looking for a bustling environment and a busy place, donât come here. We awoke to the sunrise and birdsong. Everything we needed was there. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
The perfect quiet resting place for our visit in Knoxville!
We had to be in Knoxville for an extended stay -- we looked for & found this lovely Horse Barn -- in a country setting -- yet close to the Interstate Highway that we had to travel each day -- & near every convenience you could want. It was the perfect peaceful landing place we needed. The interior was accommodating & tastefully decorated -- the exterior was charming -- with trees full of singing birds & a nice long path to walk on. It was great to be so near the City but having the feeling we were in the Country! We were so thankful to find such a quiet place to be & appreciate the owners hospitality & care.
This was the perfect place for us to explore Knoxville and the surrounding state parks for a couple of days. At the end of the day, it was a quiet place to retreat to and relax in the hot tub. We had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!
This home exceeded our expectations. My husband and I stayed for a New Years Eve weekend getaway. The owners were wonderful in the beginning conversation and continued to show why their listing is superior. Privacy, comfort and tranquility are three words I could use to describe this home. Right down to the decor this place is full of unique charm that excites your inner child. The snacks were a welcome touch after a long day of driving. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home!
What a wonderful property, welcoming, comfortable, private and still just 20 minutes from the heart of Knoxville. The sunsets over the pastures where amazing! This location is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life and yet you are just minutes away from several shopping areas and right off I40.
My wife and I could not have been more pleased. :)
I felt like I was on a 2nd Honeymoon and I'm 75 years old.
A wonderful beautifully decorated private home in a lovely setting. They thought of everything we could need. The home with its' horse farm theme, high ceilings, hot tub in the garden, and comfortable king sized bed was a joy to occupy. Tina was always available for questions. Everything worked well from internet to opening the gate. It was light, airy, and joyful. We loved staying here. It is sooo much better and more comfortable than a hotel.
The Horse Farm was a fantastic. We spent 3-nights. It was perfect for our needs⊠20 minutes from downtown Knoxville and 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Weâll definitely stay there again!
Private, clean, prestigious, value priced, and conveniently located.
We wanted a place larger than a hotel room and located close to University of Tennessee. This place was that and much more! Close to UT, restaurants, shopping, and spacious at a price per night less than the hotels!

Convenient
Great place! We were visiting family and found this property to be perfect for our needs. Also, convenient to Downtown, even though it was a quiet, bucolic setting. Owners responded quickly to correct a problem with the dishwasher. We would stay here again in the future!
This is the ideal place if you enjoy privacy from the standard jammed together cabins or the overly priced tight spaced motels. I highly recommend if you want the quiet get away if your in this area.
This was, by far, the best VRBO we have ever chosen. I wish I could post the photos I captured of the incredibly serene and peaceful property and the wonderfully decorated interior! The Horse Farm and Tina & Ken far exceeded any expectations we had of an out of town stay. The home is beautiful and has all of the needed amenities you could ask for. We spent 6 days on the property and because we live a very healthy lifestyle - we hit the grocery store in town before heading out to The Horse Farm. We were able to easily cook 3 meals a day all week long as there were plenty of dishes and kitchen accessories for us to do so. In addition, we were able to travel with our 10lb pup (prior approval needed) and he stayed on his leash. We were able to get in several really great workouts on the property as the gravel hills from the entrance up to the top of the property are intense and there is a flat area by the barn with benches that double as step up and dip assists. :) I cannot say enough great things about this place. The owners are super responsive and it is very very clear that they take great pride in their properties. Also - the place is SPOTLESS. We visit Knox every other year and will try another K & T Cabins property next time. LOVED IT!
Conveniently located just a few miles off of I40 just East of Knoxville, this is a wonderful get-away-from-it all property. It's quiet and peaceful and in a country setting, yet close to restaurants. We thorough enjoyed our stay here.
Beautiful location about 15 minutes out of Knoxville
Lovely rural home and stunning views an easy drive from Knoxville and about an hour from Smoky Mountain National Park. We rented this location with a second bunkhouse (same owner) just down the road, as part of a large group in town for an event at the University of TN. This home was a perfect respite for two adults at the end of the day. There is a loft bedroom and fold-out couch. The gated driveway is very cool (made us feel like VIPs), and very nice owners. Thanks!
This was the perfect get away! Such a beautiful home. Everything we needed was a short drive away. We had someone come every other day to pick up trash. The hot tub felt amazing! Plan to visit again! Thank you!!
As the other reviewer said, the pictures don't do this place justice. This is a gorgeous stand-alone horse stable with an exquisite apartment home attached. We affectionately called it the "Horse Barn" as a jest. While it is indeed a stable, it's about as far from a Tennessee barn as you can get. : )
The approach to the farm is breathtaking, as you enter through the iron gates. The entire property is immaculately clean, including the stables and vast grounds. Obviously someone with excellent taste in design and style has decorated the inside of the Horse Barn with top-of-the-line furnishings. It looks like it was remodeled recently with state-of-the-art touches that spared no expense. The steeple light on the Horse Barn is a unique touch, and we turned it on every evening that we went out so it was like a beacon calling us home.
The property is located just 3-4 minutes off I-40 on Strawberry Plains and about 10-15 minutes from Downtown Knoxville. There isn't a grocery store nearby, so we drove into Knoxville for food supplies. The kitchen has EVERYTHING. We didn't lack for any utensils or cookware, and we cooked almost every day. There are many restaurants on Straw Plains exit.
Our only issue during our two weeks was with the tv, and the owners had it fixed and replaced the same day. Fantastic customer service!
Tina was very prompt with any questions we had and gave detailed explanations. We felt like we 'owned' the place during our stay. We look forward to staying there again and have already recommended it to friends and family. : )
Note: The large windows pictured on almost one complete side of the house face the loft bedroom. If you have trouble sleeping with light, you may want to bring an eye mask, as there are no blinds on the giant windows and it can be bright in the morning. We thought it was a beautiful way to wake up, but for light-sensitive sleepers, it's something to be aware of.
Located on 24 acres. Very well decorated and unique that it would accomidate the traveler with a pull behind trailer and easy access to I-40, close to Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville.
