Todd, Caroline du Nord - À partir du moment où vous arrivez à Roaring Creek, le son des eaux tumultueuses et du chant des oiseaux vont commencer à vous détendre. Profitez de la nature à son meilleur dans cette charmante maison de 3 chambres à coucher et 2 salles de bain située dans le centre de Boone et de West Jefferson. Au niveau principal se trouve un coin salle à manger, salon et cuisine avec de beaux planchers de bois franc. Vous adorerez vous installer près de la cheminée à bois lors des soirées fraîches de Carolina Mountain dans les confortables meubles en cuir pour regarder un film sur la télévision par satellite à écran plat. La cuisine spacieuse est bien équipée pour préparer des repas de famille. Une table de hockey sur air est située dans la cuisine. Au niveau principal est la suite principale avec lit queen, télévision à écran plat et salle de bain privée. A l'étage, deux chambres, chacune avec lits queen. À l'extérieur, détendez-vous dans le bain à remous bouillonnant ou asseyez-vous et détendez-vous au bord de la crique.

Lovely property

We enjoyed the privacy of the property. The mountain stream was wonderful to listen to. We especially liked the hot tub each evening when we came back and we got lots of pictures as the property was beautifully landscaped.

Perfect

Roaring Creek Cabin is exactly that! A beautiful cabin right next to a roaring creek. So serene and peaceful with a beautiful trees all around. Our dog loved playing in the creek. And we loved relaxing at the fire pit next to the creek. If you’re looking to get away from it all, this is the place to stay!

I thought heat would be an issue but the heater downstairs heated the entire floor and upstairs the individual heaters did the job.

One of our favorite mountain getaways!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed here 4 times. It’s a magical location with the stream and the trees all around. The new owners are definitely taking care of the cabin and it shows. I do hope they bring back the bridge, swinging chair on the front porch and some of the vegetation that has been removed. The hot tub is also in need of being replaced. The home has really become a special spot for our family and we hope to return.

Great week on the creek!

We heard barred and screech owls, several different thrushes, and saw wild turkeys in the meadow. Long days on the trails were soothed by evenings in the hot tub and the most comfortable bed.New owners have made nice updates, and as always, Jennifer and the team at Carolina Mountain Properties were great!

Nice weekend at Roaring Creek

Really enjoyed the quiet setting with the stream right next to the house! The house was a great size and had everything we needed. May want to disclose in the ad for the property that there is no bath upstairs for those two bedrooms. Has two baths but both are downstairs. Minor inconvenience.

We had a great time at the cabin and hiking nearby Elk Knob and Mount Jefferson. It was great to rest in the hot tub after a day on the trails. Roaring Creek is our home away from home in the mountains, highly recommend it!

Great cabin!

We come annually to this area to cut our Christmas tree and this was our first time at the Roaring Creek cabin. When I heard the rushing water from the stream as we pulled into the driveway I got a jolt of excitement over how close it is to the house! The kids loved being that close to the water. It would be a fantastic place to stay in all seasons! I would highly recommend a stay at this cozy cabin! I appreciated the well stocked kitchen so we could cook meals.

Peaceful getaway

Our stay was everything that we had hoped for, quiet and peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The only thing is that I wish I had asked about prior to booking was about outdoor lights. From the pictures I had assumed there wouldn't be any bright city street level brightness security lights that couldn't be turned off. It may not bother everyone but total night-time darkness is something I look for when vacationing in rural/natural areas, both for star-gazing and sleep. I did appreciate that when I contacted the property manager through VRBO they did contact the owner to ask if the security light could be turned off (it couldn't). That is the only thing I would change though.

Beautiful Weekend in the Mountains

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and property were just what we were looking for. Very peaceful and located perfectly for our planned day trips. Make sure you bring everything you need for cooking because the store is 25 min away and there is nothing in the house. Also note there is no ice maker so you may want to bring some extra ice trays. We loved the firepit at night and there was plenty of wood. You may want to bring some camp chairs instead of sitting at the picnic table. The creek really made this perfect for us. We all had a great time.

The outside is amazing!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is in a great location. The yard is nicely landscaped. Lots of butterflies around. The creek is wonderful to splash around in. Even go explore it. The yard has a huge flat field that you can throw frisbees. Nicely cut grass too. The fire pit is wonderful since the creek and field is right there. Easy to watch the kids play and the fire at the same time. The house is nicely decorated with a bear theme. I appreciate no real animals displayed. The company is very helpful with directions and responsive to our needs. You can’t beat the outside of this place.

Post-Fall Foliage Visit 11/3-6

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very little to criticize. The cabin was accurately represented, clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The directions to the cabin were poor, and should be differentiated as to which direction the guests are coming from. (E.G., From the north..., From the south & west..., from the east..., etc. We came up from the south on Hwy 321 & went way out of our way because the directions said "Do not trust your GPS" but start from Deep Gap (which is almost impossible to find or identify). We could have turned north on Hwy 194 leaving Boone and saved probably 1/2 hour driving. The kitchen supplies, dishes & eating utensils were very nice and ample except for a strange shortage of table knives and spatulas. (Perhaps a previous guest had helped themselves. ??) Overall, it was a very nice experience, and we would definitely stay there again.

Great location. Not so clean.

We searched and searched and found a nice mountain house to take our Granny to the mountains. We arrived and the view was amazing. There’s a beautiful river that runs along the backside of the house that you can frolic in. Went inside to get settled and found rat poop all in the drawers and cabinets. There is no way the cleaning lady missed it. I even took pictures. Went up stairs and one of the bedrooms was not clean. The bedding was full of animal hair and dried dog poop was on the ground. We changed the sheets and when we got ready for bed we found out the television in that room did not work either. Luckily there was WiFi so we could watch something on our phones. There is no central ac…just window units in the bedrooms. It was very musky and difficult to regulate the air. The new couches were nice and made due with what we had. We would not rent this home again though.

Great get away weekend

Took the family and the dog up to this private cabin and had a great time exploring the creek on the property. Also went into West Jefferson to check things out and get dinner. Had a great time!
