stayed for two nights. the owner was kind and helpful. enjoyed her lovely property with some bird watching and mountain views from the upper rental deck. Comfortable beds, kitchen very small, but well equipped. good directions to property from owner, as property is not in the center of Silver City
This was a lovely place to stay while we explored the Silver City area. The unit was clean, well stocked, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood with its own little trail. is even a little trail
Beautiful space and views. Very responsive host: the coffeemaker in our kitchenette malfunctioned on the third day, and the host replaced it the same day.
Azaima's beautiful and restful retreat center was a highlight of our road trip through southern New Mexico. Immaculate, cheerful and restful, we enjoyed the hot tub, deck and very comfortable furnishings. She was a very good host, available and accomodating yet respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect stay!
Wonderful vacation spot with gorgeous views and a very comfortable homey atmosphere. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. This was the perfect setting for our yearly girls weekend. We will definitely consider returning in the future. Thank for a lovely stay.
This was our second time with Azaima, but this time we were smarter and stayed for 3 weeks. The unit served as the perfect base for wandering around SW New Mexico. We found a Woody Guthrie Musical, a concert for Violin and Piano, an artists fair. in Las Cruces and many, many hikes of all sorts. We even discovered a unique French Bistro in Silver City. Not to be issued if you are there.
We really enjoyed our time there. My wife and I will be booking with you once the weather turns colder. Thank you so much for your friendship and your attention. Raul &Silvia Oaxaca
We had the upstairs apartment which is very roomy and has its own deck which is great for star gazing and listening to a cry from a far off Coyote. Loved it so much we didnât want to leave
Overall stay was awesome. Location was great and very serene. The space was great for our stay. I wasnât sure how Iâd feel about the caretaker being on site, but it was actually nice to have a friendly face near by if we needed anything. The coffee was great and thank you for having it available! Definitely will be booking again since I will be in Silver City more often.
We stayed at the Heart and Wings Retreat for four nights in April 2021 while visiting Silver City. We were in the second story suite. The suite was very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchenette. Views from the deck are very nice in the evening. and the hot tub is great after a day of hiking. Highly recommended!
Great place to kick back and unwind. It's up on a small hill so you will experience peace and quiet and feel close to nature. Beautiful view from the balcony especially at night. What stood out to me in particular was how clean the place was. The only drawback was that we went in the beginning of July, and it was unseasonably hot, and the portable AC had a hard time cooling down the place. Other than that, I highly recommend staying here...you will love it.
Azaima was an excellent hostess! Her property was secluded, quiet, well maintained and clean. She had everything I needed for rest and relaxation. The hot tub was a bonus and I really enjoyed the deck every morning and evening. There is a short hiking trail, a hammock, security gate with a code for entry, so you feel safe and private. The dogs are friendly and the atmosphere is warm. Location is only a couple of miles outside of town which is quite convenient. I stayed here end of May for the Blues Festival and slept like a rock with the windows open and the cool breezes from the fresh mountain air. Would definitely stay here again!
This property is beautiful, clean and extremely quiet. The only thing Is. It's a little uncomfortable to walk up to our door and have people in the hot tub, 2 feet from the door. Also, it wasn't clear in the listing the the unit we had did have a full kitchen. I assume the other units do.
I'm a total introvert, but I love getting to know people and doing what I can for them.
I grew up in Chicago and started my professional life in big cities. Then I moved to Maine and fell in love with a simpler country life.
The western sun beckoned and I moved to Silver City. This town has the perfect combination of nature and community.
My work integrates music and healing. I am a performing songwriter who is currently driven to compose music to serve causes and uplift the spirit. I've released four CDs.
I'm an interfaith minister and have married people on this property. My healing work includes shamanism, astrology, yoga and a technique I designed called Heart Lightning Transformational Coaching that quickly removes mental and emotional blocks in as little as one session.
I am fortunate to share my home with a couple of shelter dogs who adopted me.
I love its natural setting. You can hike or bike straight out of the front door. The views are lovely. The setting is quiet. The weather is perfect all year. The property is spacious and private.
The rooms are sunny, and climate-controlled, so you can be comfortable in all seasons. You'll have as much privacy as you'd like, but are welcome to enjoy the dogs or take advantage of my healing services.
