Carpenter's Quarters was owned by a well known beloved Carpenter in Seal Harbor for many decades. After his passing almost all wooden aspects of the home are still original pieces handcrafted by the original owner over his lifetime. The home embodies a classic Maine feel -- sit at the front porch and hear the silence & calming water from the Stanley Brook

Tucked away on the western side of Mount Desert Island, Seal Cove is a peaceful and secluded village known for its pristine natural beauty, rocky shoreline, and tranquil atmosphere. Unlike the busier towns on the island, Seal Cove offers a retreat into nature, making it an ideal spot for those seeking solitude and outdoor adventure.
The area is best known for the Seal Cove Auto Museum, which showcases a remarkable collection of early 20th-century automobiles, offering a glimpse into the golden age of motoring. Beyond the museum, visitors can explore nearby hiking trails, kayaking routes, and quiet coves perfect for wildlife watching.
Seal Cove also provides easy access to lesser-traveled areas of Acadia National Park, including Seal Cove Pond and the western mountain trails, which offer breathtaking views without the crowds. Its calm waters, dense forests, and unspoiled coastline make it a haven for photographers, birdwatchers, and nature enthusiasts alike.
