The Red Barn Retreat, a reclaimed grain barn centrally located in Kalispell MT
The Uniquely restored granary is so deceiving as you arrive as it appears so much as when it was built in 1949. Opening the barn door to the entry receives that WOW as it opens to a full home of such character and is surprisingly spacious. The mountains views that lead right in to Glacier National Park highlight Jackson Peak with all its glory. The sunsets and sun rises are spectacular. The bedrooms are large with large closets and bathrooms on 2 different levels which make for a great vacation spot for 2 couples or a small family. The barn features 2 small balconies to enjoy watching the every changing skies. The balcony off the full kitchen has a natural gas powered BBQ. The property features several acres of manicured lawns, a fire pit and regulation horse shoe pit. You are close to the park, hiking, water sports, (Flathead Lake is the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi)shopping, entertainment and special events throughout the year. Adventures await!
The Red Barn was perfect for our five day stay, it is just as the listing describes it, exceptional clean and had everything we needed. It is in a great location being only 3 miles from the airport, short drive to Glacier National Park and Flathead lake recreation area. I highly recommend this location for your stay in Kalispell.
Wonderful historic home in a beautiful area of Kalispell. Home is exceptional y clean and well maintained. Beautiful views out the back. Would definitely return.
Probably the nicest VRBO weâve ever stayed! Exceptionally clean, unique style, fun history. Three days of hiking Glacier and wonderful time with friends. Communication with property management was excellent before, during and after we checked out.
One of the nicest units I've ever stayed in. Check in was easy - The house was just as pictured - decorated so nicely! It was convenient to stores and restaurants. The home was so clean and had everything we needed. We based out of this home for 4 days to visit Glacier National Park and area around Kalispell. Check out instructions were relayed to us in a timely manner. Would definitely stay here again
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was neat and very clean. We liked the location and the neighbor hood. Really liked the dercor. The check in rules and departure rules and how to operate the grill and fireplace where simple, we would stay there again when we come back that way. Thank you!
This amazing, unique property is a great "home base" for exploring the Kalispell & Whitefish area. It sits in a quaint neighborhood with cows, chickens, and horses at adjacent properties with the mountains as a back drop. The kitchen is very well equipped and gas grill is conveniently located off the kitchen deck. The property was spotless when we arrived with a seamless check in. The area is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to go out to dinner and explore the area. I would highly suggest this property. We are hoping to return and will definately attempt re-booking in the future. Thank you Susan for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your red barn!
The pictures donât capture the true essence of transforming this barn into a country home. We were amazed by the work and love put into bringing this old barn back to life with a new purpose! The interior living spaces are beautiful and filled with antique treasures. The house was well stocked, with all the amenities we needed for a week. The property is very clean and well-maintained inside and out. The barn is easy to locate and access and has a large parking area. You are surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery, a quiet location, and conveniently located near restaurants and downtown. We enjoyed the sunrise over the mountains every morning! We stayed for a week enjoying Glacier National Park, Lake McDonald, Whitefish Lake State Park, and Flathead National Forest. The check-in and check-out process was straightforward. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended The Red Barn Retreat.
You will love this location - perfect for two couples. This place has a lot of wonderful touches. Not far from Glacier National Park, city of Whitefish, Hungry Horse Dam. If you like history-checkout the Conrad House-the person who founded Kalispell. You may also like to take a chairlift or gondola ride to the top of Whitefish Ski resort.
The property was beyond expectation when we arrived. Tastefully furnished, no detail left undone. Truly loved the place, and would rent it again if ever in the area. Highly recommended. Fantastic living spaces, spacious bedrooms, wonderful kitchen and den. Almost new grill, and two small patios for outside dining and grilling. My only complaint would be that management should forward checkout details the day before checkout, NOT the morning of checkout.
I canât say enough good things about this property. Everything you need they provide. The barn and unique decorations are gorgeous and well done. Beautiful view of the mountains and the barn is a perfect location between Whitefish and Kalispell.
While the barn to home flip is cosmetically lovely, the beds are *very* hard, the pillows lack any support, there is no lock on the master bedroom sliding barn door (and no door to the master bath), and the lack of any semblance of shades or drapes to block the sun is highly noticeable as the sun blasts onto your face in the early morning hours.
