The place was clean and comfortable and the location couldn't have been much better. Only wish for a little more communication from the host on check in/check out procedure.

Enjoyed are stay there. Owner very responsive to questions. Super close to beach and all the eating and shopping places there. Close to Nubble Light.

So close to the beach!

We had a short walk to the beach; no need to search and pay for a parking spot. Comfortable accommodations, the kitchen had everything we needed. We would stay there again.

Wonderful family weekend

In town for a family wedding and the cottage was perfect. The location was great, plenty of parking, and well equipped. Especially enjoyed the deck. A nice little bonus!

Excellent rental and highly recommended. Location to beach was very convenient, especially with kids in tow. House was fully stocked with necessities, with ample room for us. We’ll definitely be looking to stay again next year.

We enjoyed our stay however there was a glitch with check in. House had not been cleaned and linen were not washed, had to clean the house ourselves. Great location!

Steps to the beach

The property was well maintained. Sleeping to the sounds of ocean waves was delightful. As well the beach access being right on the other side of the street was terrific. Owner was easy to communicate with. Would consider staying at this property again.

Perfect beach access

Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood and the beach access is a plus. My only con would be that there was no air conditioning and if the weather would have been warmer it would have been quite uncomfortable.

Close to the beach

This was our second year renting the property. It was less clean than our original stay. But the proximity to the beach just a short walk away made up for it. It was an excellent week spent with family.

A lovely older home with character. Everyone enjoyed it. Great restaurants, especially Stones Throw. Wonderful striper fishing with Greg at G Cove Charters, 7 minutes away. We will return. Thank you.

Vacation cottage

This property was so delightful, warm and welcoming. Reminded my two brothers and me of the cottages my parents rented when we were kids. Those two brothers, their wives and I were very comfortable. The property was very well stocked. We lacked for nothing. Our only recommendation is to replace the shower head in the smaller bathroom.

Good value great location great time

I recommend this vacation rental home. The House is the second house across street from beach so only steps from York Beach which is beautiful! I stayed with my wife and kids (17 and 20) which was perfect for this house which has three double beds and three bedrooms. Could sleep five or six but would be a bit tight. There are two bathrooms. One bathroom shower did not work well as water flowed from both shower and bathtub faucet simultaneously. Lighting in house could be improved. Overall a great house for a beach vacation.

A comfortable and well-stocked home

This is a comfortable and well-stocked home in a fantastic location just steps from the beach. Rick was welcoming and responsive to questions prior to our trip. Based on other guests’ reviews, we expected that the home needed a few updates, but we were still surprised by the number of small issues we encountered (broken shower, stained bedding, etc.). Although the listing says that there is at least one day between bookings, the previous guests seemed to have just departed—the house was still being cleaned when we arrived. The previous guests had used the portable air conditioner, which had leaked water and saturated a large area of the dining room’s carpet. The carpet was so thoroughly soaked that it still hadn’t dried when we checked out four days later. With no property manager nearby, there was no way to resolve the issues we encountered during our stay. For such an expensive rental, we had higher expectations for the condition of the property.

Location is excellent. House is very dated and No Air Conditioning.

Ants all over threshold between porch and living room. Ants all over threshold between living room and dining room. Portable A/C poorly connected with plastic and white tape to living room window. It Did not have a hose to drain water into a bucket and water leaked all over the rug. Nite light out in larger bathroom. Hall way light out near larger bathroom. 3 remotes for the Tv. Should’ve been instructions on how to operate them, it was very confusing. 2 of the bedrooms had a very small fan in each. The 3 rd bedroom had an old window fan that smelled like a musty house when you ran it. The screen to the back bedroom window was laying in the backyard. The washer and dryer had clothes in them from the day we got there Friday and were still not removed by Tuesday when we left. The carpeting is very old and needs to be replaced. For the money that we paid $2,700 for 4 nights the place should have been a palace. I have stayed in 2 other VRBO’s and was extremely disappointed in the condition of this property.

Great location and porch!

Had a great week with family…we love the front porch. Only drawback is no air conditioning and shower head in small bathroom needs to be replaced. Water gets everywhere and pressure is too high for your body.

beds were comfortable and house was well equipped,however the house needs attention. All metal baseboard heat covers were rusted. The front window of the house had not been washed in a long while. paint around the window was peeling. Shower curtain liner in large bathroom had mildew along bottem. the second bathroom is impossibly small and had a large cobweb hanging from the ceiling. There was greasy dust on all lightbulbs in the bathrooms as well as on the fans. There were no screens on one of the bedrooms window. they were leaning against the house outside. There were 3 remotes for the TV with no instructions.

Great spot near the water.

Porch on street busy with walkers to the beach and private back porch. Beach chairs included. We enjoyed low tide with the rest of the neighborhood. Good times.

Beautiful location, terrific property managers

The location was right next to the ocean and the space was perfect for our family. The house was clean and well stocked. The weather was sweltering during the day. At night the house cooled down and the fans helped.

Although we currently live in NJ - our family roots are here in Maine where we vacationed every summer since I was born (way too long ago).

Our beachfront home was built by my grandparents and has been with us ever since. It has always been a favorite spot for our family vacations.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The funny thing that makes me totally relax is the smell of the ocean air from when you first arrive and look out over the ocean. Just watching the surf and listening to the sounds of the seashore is one of the most tranquil and soothing experiences I can imagine. The compliment to this is the plethora of outstanding local restaurants and taverns with the best New England Clambakes anywhere.
