Plan a fall color tour, winter break, or summer getaway! This studio with full kitchenette is in our 100 year old Barn. It has A/C & charm so you can relax and make memories. The bathroom is recently remodeled! 10 Minutes to: Lake Michigan, the Grapes and GrainsTour, 35+ wineries & breweries & more. Great restaurants & hiking trails. Travel up Old 31 for a color tour! The sunrise and sunsets are beyond comparison and the peaceful deck on the back of our property is a great place to relax. This property sleeps 2 people and is in our converted barn. Quiet, country setting!

It was OK, no windows to the outside other than the front door. And, the bathroom was only accessible thru the front entrance, with the door that did not have a window treatment covering the window. The entrance was odd, and a step down.

Cute place on the wine trail

This place is the perfect location if you’re visiting the wineries in the area. Small but comfortable with everything you need for you stay. Visit the wineries and come back to relax for the evening.

Short weekend stay!

It was very nice and peaceful. Scenery was beautiful. The room was very nice. Would have been better with a window, and a quieter pump, but otherwise it very nice.

We had a great time staying here. It was in a central location to winerys and golf courses! Check in was easy. The place was clean and as advertised. The only feedback i would give is the bed was a little stiff. Otherwise the sheets and blankets were very comfortable.

What a beautiful farm and a cool place to stay! Clean, comfortable and no contact check in was super easy and accommodating. Excellent communication with owners too. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful property- thank you for sharing some refreshing treats too!

Just what I needed

Though it feels like you’re far away in the quiet countryside, this location was very convenient. I had my dog with me, so I was looking for a place that I could open the door and be right outside. Loved the farm setting and the chickens, and plenty of green space to walk my dog. Bed was comfortable, and had everything needed for a one-night stay. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Great Country Stay

Cozy room with kitchenette, no stove but microwave. Super clean room, and very quiet. The best night sleep I've ever had in a very long time. Walked out in the morning to chicken greating me to a good morning. Would definitely book there again if I'm in area, or maybe just for a nice getaway.

Country charm

We enjoyed our stay. Had everything that we needed and was close to everything that we wanted to do in the area. Kind of a strange set up with the bathroom and no windows but, it worked. We will go back when we go to the area.

The barn

If you like a lil barn experience this is the place! Amazing people! Great for a little country location, especially if you’re trying to go to the dunes! I will say I was impressed by all the roosters! My favorite, one with the black one, the alpha one! Overall experience, I give it9.5/10

Not fancy, but nice!

Stayed 1 night for a quick no kids beach getaway. We weren't really there long and just needed a decent place to sleep. As the description says, it's a "hotel style" room, meaning a bed, small table and some nice counter space with a mini fridge and microwave. Check in was super simple, and I loved being out in the country! They even offered us some farm fresh eggs (I assume) from the chickens roaming the grounds. Downtown St Joe is about 10-15 minutes away and a really easy drive. Overall, if you're like us and just looking for a place to crash for the night on a beach getaway, this is a great option I would definitely consider again.

On "The Barn"

If you're looking for a Goldilocks zone in the area, this is probably it. The price was good, everything was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the host promptly answered whatever questions my wife and I had. Despite the lack of a window, the room was cozy, had the perfect amount of space along with all the furniture one might need, and the wall AC unit kept it nice and cool like my wife likes it. We fell right to sleep and in the morning didn't even hear all the roosters until we got outside either! This is definitely a good place to consider if you are looking to stay in St. Joseph.

Not sure how this is a 4.78 Star

1. The bathroom is not in the room 2. The pump to the bathroom is in the room and it's very loud. It went off at 6:00 am without any water running?? 3. No wifi password listed. 4. Paint and junk are in the cupboards. Junk draw full of stuff. 5. Let yourself in no welcome no emails. We saw someone in a truck to ask for the password and how we got to our location. ODD. 6. You must strip your bed before leaving and gather all the dirty towels/wash clothes.. (Only given one per person).

After 2 years of hosting every weekend this studio: 1) We’ve never gotten this kind feedback ever. 2) All the check-in instructions AND wifi password were sent in the EMAIL you received the DAY BEFORE! 3) You were greeted by one of the property managers who thought it was ODD you didn’t read your email and didn’t know where to go! 4) You left dirty dishes in the sink. 5) You’re complaining you only got one set of towels- you stayed ONE NIGHT and never sent a message asking for more! 6) You stayed one night and out of 14 plus cabinets available to you and ONE of the lower ones has the paint that go to that room. What’s the big deal? Did you need 14 cabinets for ONE night? 7) The junk drawer with the stuff is full of EXTRA CHARGING CABLES if someone needs them PLUS a can opener… all for guests! 8) Sounds like you’re just trying to get a freebie and you probably do this often. Renters BEWARE!
