'Chez ZigZag' est un appartement situé à l'étage et accessible depuis le 204 S Oak Street (L'adresse postale est 204 W. 2nd Street. Le GPS vous amènera à la ruelle derrière la maison, alors n’y allez pas. Vous vous garerez sur S Oak) Il n’ya que trois pâtés de maisons du ferry pour Victoria. Il y a une vue magnifique sur le détroit de Juan de Fuca, Victoria, B.C., Mt. Baker et les navires océaniques allant assorties. L'activité du port est toujours en évolution. Plus de 60 types de bateaux et de navires peuvent être vus régulièrement.
"Chez" (prononcé "shay") est le mot français pour "au domicile de", et "ZigZag" est dérivé de la passerelle appelée "zigzag" qui relie localement la maison au centre-ville. Chez ZigZag est facilement accessible à pied du centre-ville et d’une excellente épicerie bio "Country Aire" (un pâté de maisons), un magasin Safeway avec un Starbucks (deux pâtés de maisons), le ferry Coho (trois pâtés de maisons) et Hollywood Beach / Discovery Trail ( 4 blocs). Le centre-ville abrite également une grande variété d'excellents restaurants, accessibles en quelques minutes à pied.

Le foyer extérieur unique en son genre est prêt à l'action. bois Ample est empilé à proximité. Chaque soir, le bois est réglé et prêt à vous permettre de profiter de votre boisson préférée tout en vous relaxant autour d'un feu de cheminée. Faites un barbecue avec un saumon, un steak ou un hamburger frais et profitez de l’activité du port et de la ligne droite. Vous pourriez même apercevoir l'un des sous-marins nucléaires de Bangor en train de passer. Qu'est-ce qui pourrait être mieux?

Loved staying at Chez ZigZag! It was such a beautiful property. Amy & Brent were perfect hosts. The apartment was even better than the pictures. We loved the location for walkable access to downtown via the zigzag path. We shopped at the market at the bottom of the path and ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant recommended by our hosts. It was a great location to access Olympic National Park as well. Such a cozy place and the front and back yard were so inviting. We made a fire in the outdoor fireplace and enjoyed the night view of the port. Amazing stay and we hope to return!

Lovely clean property with everything we needed. Walking distance to downtown Port Angeles with many shops and restaurants and the waterfromt. There were fresh eggs from the owners chickens in the fridge which we cooked and were delicious. Thank you!

My husband and I travel frequently and stay in private homes whenever possible. We would rate Chez Zig Zag in our top three. The host has provided everything you could possibly need or want. The accommodations are well designed and decorated. I loved the light-filled rooms especially the kitchen and bath. We loved it so much that we cancelled our planned day trip to Victoria so we could enjoy the surroundings.

Super cool property! Cute yard spaces, easily walk to the ferry or downtown for dinner. Great home base for Olympic National Park excursions. Clean. Owner is onsite to address any needs. Brent and Amy were very friendly. We are dog people, so we loved hanging out with Winnie, however it is worth noting, she is an aggressive barker.

I think this is our fifth time to stay at Chez Zigzag, starting in 2013 and we love the hospitality of the owners, the views from the rooms (including from the shower), the convenience of the location and the furnishings including some nice artwork and interesting other pieces. They keep adding to and improving the property and it is certainly one of the best places to stay in Port Angeles. Also recommend the Country Aire grocery store very near by.

Great place for a hiking stay

We loved the design and layout of the Zig Zag, we loved the view. Our hosts thought of everything. The bed was comfortable and the space was plenty for the two of us.

We walked around town one evening and loved the murals.

This is an amazing property! We stayed in Zigzag (the upstairs area). The views were beautiful and we had plenty of room. Brent and Amy were just wonderful and very welcoming. The sauna was a real treat! Plus, the property is within walking distance of downtown and a wonderful grocery store. Next time I come to Port Angeles, I will definitely stay here!

Beautiful View- Great Location

My son and i stayed here 2 nights while exploring Olympic. The location made it easy to drive into the park and also walk downtown. The kitchen was well stocked and also had a beautiful view! We loved their patio and fire at night. We'd stay here again and stay longer. The hosts were amazing and extremely helpful!

More than expected

This VRBO was the perfect place to stay. The space felt much more spacious in person than the photos portray. We also enjoyed the outdoor space and the hosts were kind and helpful. The house is perfectly walkable to downtown and a great jumping off point for our adventures in the Olympic national park. We spent so much time enjoying watching the boats drive through - such a treat for two Kansas gals. We could not recommend this stay enough. Thank you so much for everything!

Chez ZigZag is gorgeous! The views are fantastic. We walked down the zigzag stairs to downtown- a grocery store is right at the bottom of the steps and the ferry to Victoria is an easy 10 minute walk. If you put “James View Point” into your phone you’ll have no problem finding this place. High end everything- they have a clear geodesic dome in their yard/garden as an extra living room. We met the owner and he was very helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic time. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We loved the house. It was cozy with beautiful views and lots of natural light. We enjoyed a fire in the outdoor fireplace one evening. The hosts had already prepared the wood. We just had to light it. Sitting in the dome was cool too. It was a quick walk to downtown for shopping or getting a coffee. We had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely and well-equipped!

Chez Zig Zag is just as lovely as it looks in the photos, and we had a wonderful stay.The highlights:- Beautifully soft sheets (I'm kicking myself for not checking the tag to see where they were from).- The most functionally-equipped kitchen I've seen in a vacation rental.- Gorgeous natural light - we barely used the lights in the bathroom and didn't even notice the light switches for the kitchen until right before we left.- Radiant-heated flooring in the bathroom.- The thoughtfully-curated book of recommendations from Amy and Brent.The only downside for us was that the bedroom with the blue floral curtains was susceptible to a belltower somewhere nearby chiming the hours overnight, and to early sunlight through the gaps in the curtains on the east-facing window. The sound issue was easily solved by deploying the white-noise setting on an iPhone overnight, and the sunlight is just a seasonal thing to be aware of (sunrise isn't always at 5:30am!).We would definitely pick the same spot again, it was a wonderful home base for a few days.

Great stay in PA

This is definitely one of the best VRBO properties we have rented. It was super clean, great views, all the amenities, and just a short walk to downtown Port Angeles. Amy and Brent were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. Thanks Amy and Brent.

Amy and Brent are both active Realtors with BROKERSGROUP Realty in Sequim WA. Both are regular cyclists and enjoy e-biking around the North Olympic Peninsula. Living here has been a blessing to them. They look forward to sharing the wonders of Port Angeles and the North Olympic Peninsula with their guests.
After living all over the USA, they've decided this is the best place of all. The natural beauty of the surroundings and the friendly people are delightful. Amy grew up in Pennsylvania, Brent in Southern Oregon. They have four grown children and four grand kids. They've now been married for 43 wonderful years and look forward to many more.
They live on the main floor and are available should a special need arise. They may, occasionally, be using either one of the two patios, or be maintaining other aspects of the property, but will endeavor to do this when Guests are not present when possible.

The Powells stumbled into a vacation rental. The home they purchased came with a separate apartment upstairs. The renters moved out and they spent the next 4 months remodeling the apartment. Amy did the designing, Brent and hired professionals did the rest.
They are excited to offer it to visitors to the North Olympic Peninsula. "If we came to Port Angeles looking for a vacation rental, this is the one we would pick. It is luxurious, and centrally located with easy access to just about everything." Chez ZigZag provides a peaceful retreat that can't be beat. Come and see. You won't be disappointed!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We were attracted to our home by the fact it had been solidly and well constructed and remained in original condition. Best of all there had been no mediocre, ill conceived, home owner remodels to correct... it was a blank canvas. What you see now took several years, financial commitment and many craftsmen's hours to accomplish. We are excited to share it with you.
