Fenced private backyard with pergola and patio furniture to enjoy each sunrise and sunset! Great stay!!

We loved our stay, the hosts were so kind, the property was cozy, and the backyard was great for kids! The neighborhood was even lovely as we enjoyed evening walks.

Fantastic, cozy, and inviting stay. Enjoyed the crisp fall .orning under the pergola watching the sunrise. Lesa was fantastic to work with. Defintly will look into a longer stay next time.

Quiet place on the prairie!

Great place to stay while exploring the Black Hills! It is a central place for all of the activities that we did while visiting Rapid City. Host and hostess were attentive and friendly!! Would highly recommend this place!!

Great stay for an overnight stop to Mount Rushmore

The place was cute and Lesa offered so many little extras if we had forgotten anything important. It was clean and cozy. We loved the fireplace.

Quiet and cozy spot for the night

Quiet, comfortable and clean stay for the night. Host was friendly and helpful. Nice location. We saw lots of deer at sunset.

Wonderful stay

Nice little guest house on the prairie about 15 minutes from town. Fenced in yard kept the kids confined. Loved it!

Highly recommend

Lovely one bedroom addition with all of the amenities that you need. Our hosts were very hospitable and even warned when a severe thunderstorm was nearby. The deck area and its view were so beautiful.

Sturgis get away

Great place for us. The place was private and location was just a short drive to many parks and sights. We would recommend this place if you like to stay were it is quite and not in all the action during Sturgis.

Perfect out of the way place for two! Gorgeous view, deer frolicking, lovely sunsets. Super clean. So quiet and peaceful. Great hosts. We will definitely stay again.

Badlands Visit

Property was in a quiet rural neighborhood and was the perfect place to stay for the two of us. Weather was chilly so we didn’t get to sit out in beautiful gazebo area. Perfect location to visit many parks!!

Family and football

We were in town to visit our daughter and her family. Two grandsons, two football games each… This property was absolutely wonderful. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. 5 stars are not nearly enough!!

Hidden treasure-close to everything

It was better than expected! Our host thought of all the extras and went out of the way to make sure our stay was perfect. Cozy, warm & inviting.Beautiful inside with a lovely outdoor space as well. We were within 30-60 minutes to all attractions.

Amazing place to stay

The property is outside of Rapid City but close enough to all the major attractions. The owners are really friendly. I give it a 10 out of 10. Seen deer out in the fields behind the house every morning and evening. Super quiet and peaceful

Perfect little spot

Our stay at the little Gem on the Prairie was the perfect spot as we were in peadmont for a wedding. Our infant's pack and play fit perfectly in the bedroom with us, and the washer and dryer were great as he needed some clothes washed during our stay. . the patio looks amazing for enjoying, and it was a nice private area to stay. We hope to stay again in the future! Thank you!

Cozy and Comfortable!

We stayed here as a jumping off point for hiking and sightseeing, and it was a perfect little rest spot, about an hour from Rushmore/Custer as well as the Badlands. Everything was perfectly clean and little thoughtful touches like extra toiletries made it even better. There’s definitely privacy, but we were not expecting to be quite so close to several other houses based on the listing. Overall, would stay here again in a heartbeat!
