This house was large enough to comfortably handle our large family group (17) and very conveniently located to the Disney parks, gas station and stores. The themed rooms and game room were great for the kids. Having two washer/dryer combos, fridges and dishwashers was also very helpful! The large number of bathrooms with showers made it easier to get ready and leave for the day. The pool and hot tub were very nice. Access to the gated neighborhood worked well for our four families with cars. This is a huge house thatâs perfect for a large group but needs to be updated with a little TLC. Several of the beds/mattresses are in really rough shape and need to be replaced. The carpet is worn and stained, and the walls would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. The kitchen lacked some basic equipment like oven mitts. It would have been a nice touch if there were basic seasonings, salt, pepper and oil for cooking, but unfortunately there were none. Property management response was slow when we had an appliance malfunction. Our first evening we had a dishwasher failure that flooded the kitchen and living room. I called property manager for assistance at 10:30p and did not hear anything back until I called again 14 hours later at 12:30p the next day. The dishwasher was fixed after several repair technician visits over two days. Overall, this is a good option for a large group visiting the area.
1) poor communication - particularly once we arrived during an internet outage that affected us from arrival day for 5 full days of our 10 day. A couple of days in we ended up purchasing eSIM (internet ) for the kids and several of the adults to be able to function. It was miserable. I would beg and plead for updates but each time Iâd have to call (international) and many times calls went unanswered or messages unreturned. When I spoke with someone no one ever had an answer or update. Very irritating. We will be requesting compensation for this ordeal.
2) we hated that the walls, stairs and upstairs flooring were extremely thin. You could hear every movement and even âquietâ conversations. We felt like there was little privacy/noise buffer put into this home.
3) we had trouble with 3 of the games in the game room. One was still unresolved up to the time we checked out.
4) the maintenance/storage door kept opening on its own although it had a code type lock (which we did not have a code for) it seem to malfunction. Occasionally we would just notice it open and made attempts to lock it back. This was concerning because of the hazardous items with a toddler in the house.
This was our 10th year renting a VRBO house for our family vacation. While I know things won't always be perfect, I didnât expect to spend most of our trip dealing with issues. The house is beautiful, but maintenance is lacking. When we arrived a little after 4 PM, the cleaning crew manager was still there, freshening up the rooms since the house hadnât been rented in a while. This should have been done earlier. We unloaded our cars while she finished the upstairs bathrooms.
After unpacking, we realized the Wi-Fi wasn't working, a major issue since half our party were teens and we had internet-dependent activities planned. I contacted the management company and was asked to troubleshoot the router myself over the phone. Although I managed, I shouldnât have had to deal with this on vacation. The person I spoke with didn't apologize and seemed indifferent when resetting the router didn't work. The internet was finally fixed on day 3 of our 5-day stay.
Upon arrival, we were also informed that some upstairs TVs weren't working; they were replaced the next day. The kitchen lacked large pots, making it difficult to cook meals for 20 people. Additionally, the upstairs bedrooms closest to the road were very hot at night and didnât have ceiling fans, so we had to buy fans at Target.
On the positive side, the downstairs bedrooms were cool at night, and the kids' rooms were cute, especially the Toy Story room. The game room was great, offering a variety of games different from what w
family from 5 states gathering (multiple numbers from 3) , well home was ideal, well laid out, pool, game room, dining room, kitchen, we loved it all....... parking not so much, rough on our group of mostly elderly,10 bed 10 bath with room to park 4 cars don't make a lot of sense. That being said we had a great stay at a good rate. I would highly reccommend to a younger group
