The property was PERFECT! We were there for a wedding and loved the charm the house had to offer. Despite South Side all the families around were so nice. We had plenty of space and all the things needed to have peaceful evenings. Thank you so much for the stay
The decor of the house was great! Very homey! However, the house itself was extremely old and dirty. There were clumps of long black hair in the primary room, cobwebs hanging in the corner of the kitchen, the oven was disgusting - smoked up the house the second it was turned on, the bathroom stunk of pee, and there were stains/ clumps of hairs on the towels. Lastly, each room only had one outlet (which is understandable bc itâs an old house) but there were lamps everywhere that couldnât be plugged in. We would have moved locations if hotels werenât sold out due to country fest.
The house was pretty clean, some wear and tear to items that could be fixed, but no major issues that hindered our weekend. The only thing we didn't like about the house is that the only bathroom is upstairs. Other than that, very cute place for a small group or couple!
Parking in that area was less than ideal. We entered the property and went through all the rooms, the small office was very pet friendly, but not ideal for us. We went out to the back yard area, it was very dirty and smelled of cats. We attempted to go to a local grocery store to pick up a few supplies and d observed people in the middle of a drig deal. This was not an area we were at all comfortable inand returned the key and went somewhere else to stay. Not atall the experience the listing portrayed.
We recently stayed at this cozy house for a spring break getaway. The decor is really lovely and gives the space a warm, inviting feelâdefinitely a lot of thought put into it! The beds were also quite comfortable, and we had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. However, there were a few things that could use some attention. The house was pretty creaky, which added a bit of charm, but also made moving around at night a bit noisy. Unfortunately, there was a bit of dust in the corners and on some surfaces, which was a bit disappointing. It wasnât a huge deal for us, but it might be for others. We contacted the owner about the issue. While it took a bit for her to respond, she was gracious and corrected the issue. There is tons of on street parking, it is listed as off street but that is not accurate. Overall, the place was very comfortable, but a little more upkeep would make it perfect. Would still consider staying here again if the cleaning and maintenance were a bit more consistent.
We were unable to find any off street parking. We arrived after dark and the neighborhood felt real sketchy. Inside was nice! Beds and linens were super soft and comfy. Kitchen was nice and spacious. Shower and water pressure were a concern. Ceiling in bedroom #2 on the verge of falling down.
We got our money back, thankfully, but we ended up getting a hotel room instead. What you see is not what you get. Really rough neighborhood and the house isnât in the best of shape.
There was hair on bed sheets, weed on living room table, garbage overflowing from outdoor trash, cable laying on ground in backyard that's connected to the house. Host said she was going to credit the cleaning fee, its been 10 business days and still no credit.

I bit of a disappointment
The place is cute and charming. Its an older house so lots of quirks, which is fun.
We were disappointed by the flaking paint on the countertop and tub, as well as the critter droppings in one of the kitchen drawers. We couldn't do any real cooking after finding that. We limited our kitchen use to the microwave and refrigerator.
We were also expecting 3 sleeping areas or accommodations, since the listing says it sleeps 5, but there were only two queen beds. Don't know where the 5th person would have slept.
Initially, we thought the house was cute based on the pictures. But as soon as we arrived, we noticed the air conditioners had a thick layer of dirt/dust built up on them, along with dust on the window sills and furniture. There was an open can of tomato sauce and other food items in the refrigerator.
The bathroom had a horrid smell, with the shower being almost unusable due to the smelly shower curtains - there was also a used loofa hanging on the shower faucet. There were many missing lightbulbs, with others flickering frequently. The house also seemed like it was still being lived in. Overall, it has potential but needs a thorough, deep clean.
The loo
The neighborhood was terrible. Upon arrival, I had to contact the host at 5:00 pm to get access code into home because it was not in the welcome email she had sent (my fault for not reviewing it thoroughly). We did not stay in the home due to feeling unsafe. I immediately messaged the host, with no response. I contacted VRBO and having speaking with a representative they said someone would email me which never happened. Very bad experience! I will never rent from VRBO again!
We stayed here while my daughter was in town for the Nike Classic volleyball tournament. Enjoyed that it was only an 8 minute drive to the convention center. Loved we could bring our pups with us too. Beds were very comfortable with a memory foam topper. Thanks for having us!
Close to both German Village and Downtown Columbus. Walkable or easily drivable as well. Close within a few blocks from highways to get around the metro with ease.
The house was very clean and set up nicely for us when we arrived. Very cozy space. We stayed 3 nights, and we all slept well. The beds were very comfortable. Priced well, and would recommend.
