Come and enjoy serene Osprey lake in our beautiful 2400 sq ft cabin nestled in the wilderness of a small community of cabins. The house provides a charming blend of rustic elegance and modern conveniences. South facing with large windows opening onto a view of the lake, the house is bright with lots of direct light allowing the natural beauty outside to flow seamlessly indoors. Across the lake the Kettle Valley Railway (Trans Canada Trail) runs along the south shore, allowing for walking, running, hiking or biking adventures around the 2km long lake and surrounding woods. On the main floor there are 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom, the living room with lovely fireplace and kitchen. The kitchen is renovated with all new appliances, cosy banquette dining area to fit everyone and a large glass sliding door accessing plenty of seating on the upper deck with unforgettable views of the lake and hills beyond. The kitchen is stocked for chefs and foodies in mind: kitchen aid, Vitamix, coffee grinder, sharp knives, roasting pans, etc.
A spiral staircase takes you down to the large lounge space with seating for watching movies, a wood burning stove plus fireplace, full size pool table, foosball and a sauna. The master bedroom (King size bed) and 2nd full bathroom are also on this level. Art abounds in this house for an eclectic, personal feel to the space. Access between the 2 floors is by a large spiral staircase from living room down to TV space. There is an additional exterior connection between the 2 outside decks by narrow spiral staircase.
Enjoy star gazing and hanging out on our massive lower deck, accessed from the lower level through french doors to our lake view outdoor seating. There is a propane fire table (for those frequent times of fire ban) with the L shaped outdoor couches where you can snuggle under blankets and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. An outdoor dining table and chairs provided for al frescoe dining .
A short staircase from the lower deck takes you down to the large lakeside lawn with fire pit and Adirondack chairs. Another deck at lakeside leads to the private dock for easy water access.
Lots of opportunity to enjoy the lake with provided single kayak, 3 stand up paddle boards, a rowboat and double sit-on-top kayak, paddles and lifejackets.
There are many activities and adventures to enjoy at our quiet retreat: swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, mountain, gravel and road riding, birding or just chilling out. Winter sports abound on frozen Osprey Lake: cross country skiing, snowshoeing (4 pairs provided), ice fishing all right out the front door. We are 45 minutes from Princeton, 1.5 hr from Kelowna, 50 minutes from Summerland and 2.5 hours from the Fraser Valley.
