About this space
We welcome all travelers to this 1928 converted storefront for a fun, unique stay in a great central location! No stairs or steps.
This charming apartment has all the usual amenities plus a few that harken back to some of its past reincarnations. Holdovers include a letter press, a life-sized carousel horse, a metal peacock sculpture, and a golden mirror (that is 8 feet tall and 4-1/2 feet wide). A quirky mix of industrial and glam elements create a moody welcoming environment.
The space
* Your private apartment is on the ground floor of a stately historic two-story live/work building which has been divided into three separate apartments. All areas have been updated yet maintain a ton of charm.
* The space is an open and airy 750 square feet with an additional 50 sf window seat.
* The entryway has hooks for coats and ample room to store your skis, bikes, backpacks etc.
* The living room centers around a 7-1/2 foot-long green velvet couch that looks on to an all season electric fireplace surrounded by slabs of raw granite and sheets of galvanized metal.
* The 52â smart TV hangs on the same wall for easy viewing. This area is grounded by a soft rug and rounded out with a large coffee table, a sofa table, lots of handy end tables and two comfy side chairs. The space is perfect for hanging out, hosting guests or nestling in to read one of the books offered in the space.
The desk is handy If you need to work or store your electronics. Itâs also where you will find a list of recommended places to eat and drink and things to see and do around town and in nearby mountain communities.
The kitchen has lots of room to store and prep food. The appliances are full sized â including the microwave hidden away in the large cabinet. The apartment comes with a coffee pot, tea kettle, pots and pans, and bakeware as well as glassware, dishes, mixing bowls, etc. In addition to coffee and tea, youâll also find flour, sugar, olive oil, cooking oil, balsamic vinegar and a variety of spices tucked away in the cabinets.
The bedroom features a high-quality queen bed, blackout curtains and dark moody walls! The bedroom has a cedar lined closet, a ceiling fan, a dresser, two nightstands and a variety of lights and lamps.
The bathroom walls are done up in black crocodile for a luxurious feel with lots of lighting options - including a vanity mirror that is lit from within! And, whether you want to spread out your personal items or tuck them out of sight â there is a place for that here. The shower is also sized right at 38â wide. We supply towel sets, shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as those fancy makeup removers.
Guest access
Access is by keyless lock with personalized code provided shortly before your arrival. This apartment door is the one on the left and you may recognize it by the carousel horse in the window.
