What a charming mid century ranch. It’s been tastefully restored and decorated, and makes the perfect base for your time in the beautiful midcoast. Diana and Simon are fantastic hosts. It’ll be our new go to place for our future visits to the midcoast.

We rented this beautiful property for a three generations guys trip to coastal Maine. This was one of the best overall home rental experiences we've ever had. We did not have a need that was not already thought off. This property is blocks from the water front and centrally located so you can travel south or north in the state for sites pretty easily. Rockport is a nice little town. We visited Freeport, Rockland, S. Thomaston, Camden, Acadia National Park and Mt. Washington, NH in a week. NOTE: this may not be the best property for elderly or permanently disabled. It is a multi level home in the traditional mid century modern form.

Perfect!This home was the most comfortable and stylish that we have experienced - and we have stayed in many. It was spotlessly clean, which is very important to us. The kitchen was stocked with everything and anything you could want if you like to cook or bake. The large back yard was great for relaxing, and much appreciated by our two small dogs. We recommend this rental without reservation, and certainly hope to return.

Loved our stay here!

This home was perfect! It matched the pictures and was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need, including some pantry staples like oil, seasonings, etc. It even had a stand mixer! The yard was very private and the location was just a couple of minutes from Camden and about 10 minutes from Rockland. We would love to stay here again!

Great house!

The house is beautiful and well equipped. I mean, there is a Kitchen-Aid mixer! And, the beds are incredibly comfortable with amazing linens. It was clean, comfortable and has a park down the street right on the ocean. Highly recommend!

Fabulous Rockport stay!

This home was just as described. Light, bright and open. Perfect for 5 adults and our dog. Walk to town and harbor. Walk to Harkness Preserve. Minutes away from Camden. Wonderful and responsive hosts! We would definitely go back!

Very satisfied sailors

Close to great dog waking areas so we could tire out our pup before going sailing. A short walk (or drive when hauling gear) to the harbor. House very comfortable with up to date systems, very comfortable beds, great bathrooms, nice backyard, well appointed kitchen and good literature on the shelves. Couldn’t ask for more.

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. The house was charming with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything that we needed. Despite the cold and rainy weather, the cozy fireplace kept us warm and added to the ambiance. The beds were incredibly comfortable, not to mention the bathtub and heated floor in the bathroom! We enjoyed playing fetch with our dog in the wonderful backyard and strolling through the neighborhood and walking to Rockport. Can't wait to come back for another visit.

Wonderful home with a great kitchen

My husband and I stayed here with our two sons (7 and 5) for a weekend trip to Maine to see our daughter at camp's visiting day. We had a wonderful time! The home is even more beautiful than we expected, and it was set up perfectly. The host even had coffee with filters in the kitchen - a perfect touch for tired parents :) Beds were comfortable, linens were thick, kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean. A perfect VRBO experience. Thank you!

Superb Rockport House

This is a very nice, clean ranch style house that is a short walk from the harbor. It is very quiet and comfortable lodging. The area is extremely safe and very pleasant to go for walks. There is quite a bit to do in this area especially if you like lobster, rugged shorelines, foggy mornings, and smell of a fresh sea breeze. The only thing I would point out is that the living room and the kitchen are at different levels, so you have to be careful that you don't fall when walking from one to the other. The same is true of the master bedroom.

Lovely, clean, and nicely located home

We had four adults in our group and it worked perfectly for us. The rooms were nice and very clean. The entire home was nicely furnished and new with a well supplied kitchen, a large capacity washer and dryer, and lots of light from large windows. There was a market just a few yards away and, although its hours of operation didn't work for us, it was nice to have something that close if we'd needed it. Driving to restaurants and the harbor were easy. Communication from the hosts was excellent. We had a couple of questions and they responded almost immediately. The only thing that wasn't a problem for us, but could be for a person of limited mobility, was that there were small step-downs in several areas such as from the kitchen to the living area and into one bedroom. They were easy to miss if a person wasn't paying attention. It was a great place and we definitely recommend it.

What VRBO should be

This was a perfect place for us. We were able to walk to restaurants, Rockport Harbor (daily), miscellaneous parks, and take a three minute drive to Camden. There is an amazing market across the street from the house that has food, drinks, breads, and meats almost all curated in house. We felt extremely safe in the area. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, had nice kitchen equipment and appliances, and comfy beds. The water pressure was great and we had plenty of hot water. The mini splits do a great job keeping the house cool during hot days and nights. Pro tip: pay attention walking around half asleep or going to the bathroom at night. There is a step into one bedroom and the mid-century modern living room (super cool touch to the place) can be tricky to navigate. I may or may not have busted and heard my wife laugh at me. :)

This home was very clean and the host was great with communication.However, there were some items in the listing that were not correct:1. Property said air conditioned, but only the living area had an a.c. The bedrooms did not have anything, not even fans. Once the bedroom windows were open, it was too noisy to sleep and there were no blackout shades on the windows.2. There was no warning that the property had uneven floors (step ups and step downs). If we had been older or if there were babies, it would have been a disaster.3. The listing said check out time was 11 but the owner sent a message that checkout was at 10.We own a rental property in Vermont and we make sure our listing is accurate.

I'm sorry you did not have the stay you were looking for. I know that you wanted to cancel just a few days before and had hoped that this turned out to be a nice getaway for you. We do have it listed that our checkout time is 10 AM. Not sure where you saw 11 AM? I know we had communicated several times. Throughout your stay. We do have it clearly listed on our description in a couple of different spots thar the home has multiple levels. We did that specifically in case anyone is elderly has mobility issues or is traveling with small children. Sorry that you missed that in our description and photographs. Yes, air-conditioning is centrally located in the main part of the home. There are not additional units in the bedrooms. I can certainly make sure that is called out.
