The cabin was clean and cozy. The host had a lot of extra touches that were not expected; like a jar full of s’more materials, coffee and seasonings for cooking, plus welcome chocolates in the bedrooms, and a few drinks in the fridge. The cabin sits on beautiful lot with a lot of deer wandering around to watch. It is a short 5 min walk to Lake Harmony. And a 5 minute drive to local restaurants and pubs.

We love this property so much that we’ve stayed here twice this summer, and definitely hope to come back. The cabin is so well equipped, and we really enjoyed staying in and cooking, which is easy to do in a kitchen with so many features: a range, microwave, toaster oven, instant pot, crock pot, nutribullet and more. Similarly the bathroom is well equipped with a very nice modern shower and a separate washer and dryer. We also really appreciated all the thoughtful decor touches and the fabulous coffee/ hot chocolate bar. James & Lori are excellent hosts with great communication and check in couldn’t have been easier. We are very grateful to have stayed in such a wonderful home from home!

The cabin was very clean and had everything that you needed. The owners were very accomodating with all our request. Would absolutely stay here again if visiting the area again. Everyone in our party had a great time I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

The host was very nice and quick to respond! We booked a last minute overnight stay and this was the perfect spot! The cabin is cozy and has the perfect atmosphere to relax after a day of hitting the mountain!! Will definitely be back!

We were very pleased with the Hickory Chalet! Short walk to the Lake. The property was very clean, packed with extra special touches. Owners were very helpful and quickly responsive to a couple questions we had. The only thing wrong with our stay was that it wasn’t long enough! Thank you James & Lori for providing such a cozy vacation rental! We will be back!

We loved everything about this lake house! We wanted to bring my sister to lake harmony to celebrate a late Mother’s Day! Host had everything needed, made us and twins feel very welcome and our little fur baby loved it! Our first night a black bear walked about 100 ft through the woods, like nothingit was amazing! We can’t wait to come back! Clean, pet friendly and more! Thank you!

The Hickory Chalet was a perfect location for a quiet weekend getaway. It had everything you needed; fully equipped with all things to keep you occupied even on a rainy weekend -games, records, a fireplace and all the cooking essentials! Home was as beautiful as the photos and both hosts were gracious with taking the time to answer all questions and ensure our stay was excellent. We went with our dog, and even he had all the things to keep him comfortable- blankets, toys, bones! Would certainly visit again. Perfect for a couple looking to get away and have a quiet weekend nestled in the woods. Location 15-20 minutes away from outlets, breweries and wineries, too.

Wonderful hosts, they had checked in each day asking if anything was needed or if they can do anything to make our stay more enjoyable. Our stay couldn’t be better. Overall, the space was as described, quiet and well stocked, exceeding our expectations. I definitely enjoyed seeing the deer each day and taking in all the sights and sounds. The property was very unique and well suited for our needs. Lots to do in the area as well as around the property.

We had a lovely stay in Lake Harmony at this well designed 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. The house was very clean with great amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. It was well designed and the owners even supplied dog bowls and treats for our dog. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable to the lake. We will definitely look to come back in the future!!

Birthday getaway

Our stay was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and relaxing along with a snow fall weekend. It was a trip I planned to celebrate my wife’s and daughter’s birthday. Easy check in, very clean, and communication was thorough and timely. Thank you for being such great hosts!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this charming chalet. Even though it was rainy, there was plenty to do indoors with the many board games and TV options. We also enjoyed the peaceful outdoor setting and watching deer pass by.The chalet layout is very well designed. The 2 bedrooms are a good size, and the additional half bath was especially convenient for multiple people staying. The space is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with many amenities you could need, making packing easier.I also needed to work during our stay, and the desk nook with a monitor was a huge plus. The property is pet-friendly; just note that there is no fenced area, so dogs need to remain on a leash outside. Food-delivery options were also available and worked out very well for us.Most importantly, the host was very responsive, attentive, and proactive about making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Overall, we very much enjoyed our mini getaway and would certainly stay again during the winter season.

Home away from home

Great mini getaway! Very comfortable beds, hot shower with great water pressure, well-stocked kitchen, very nice amenities, indoor s'mores maker, lots of fun board games, puzzles, books, record player (we didn't use this), and cable TV.. the weather was not great during our stay, so it was awesome that the house has everything we needed! Close to grocery store and various food restaurants! Great, responsive hosts!

Relax in this cozy chalet

This was one of our best rental experiences ever. The chalet is comfortable and very cozy, well appointed with just about everything you need from kitchen supplies to plenty of warm blankets. The owners were great communicators and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. It was particularly great to have them enthusiastic about us bringing along our dog - there were treats and toys waiting for him too and the whole place was dog ready and dog friendly. We will return.

James and Lori were exceptional hosts. They were in communication throughout our stay to ensure everything met our expectations and to make sure we had no questions. The chalet was spotless, and when i say spotless, I mean 100% spotless. There was plenty to do nearby and great restaurants offering wonderful views of the lakes. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that they even welcomed our big 80 lb. boy into their home where most hosts shun the big fellows over 50 lbs. (toys and food/water bowls included)! We plan on visiting again!
