The building/complex seems fairly new, but it is not well maintained. This is no fault of the host. Her apartment was as nice and clean as can be under the circumstances. Doors in the common elements were broken, including the entrance to the building (had to enter one building and take its elevator to the catwalk crossing to the other building. Another door leading to the garage had a broken door knob so one couldn't enter there. The tiles of the elevator floor were shattered. All through the night there was constant knocking from the ceiling even though the unit is on the top floor (some mechanical or plumbing issue?). On my final day, the water was shut off for at least an hour with no warning.
Evie responded promptly whenever I messaged her, so I would not hesitate renting from her again, but in a better building. I wish her the best of luck.
Although the property is within walking distance of downtown, I would not recommend it to someone who plans on walking after dark.
