The online photos skewed the actual property. Very little natural light even during August when we were there. The house was very dusty, the carpets were very stained, and the BBQ grill hadn't been cleaned (we learned that a little too late as a grease fire required a fire extinguisher to be used!). A nail in the floor was raised and my mother-in-law punctured her foot. The screens on the windows didn't slide properly. The fans in the rooms were very noisy. One of the bedroom TV's didn't work. The left front burner on the stove didn't work. For what we paid for the week ($3k) I don't feel like we got the value. We've stayed at various properties in Sunriver for the last 15+ years and won't be coming back to Tokatee 2.
Our destination was a first for all 10 of us and a last minute decision. Not knowing the area (Sunriver, OR) we were pleased to find great options still available and each home very accurately and well described with lots of photos and info to help us make the right decision for our family of 10 adults. Great amenities, activities and overall experience. Easy to book. Easy check in. Easy check out. Thanks Vrbo!
The layout is great for a large group. Everything was clean and the essentials were all there. It got very hot in some of the rooms upstairs but some of the rooms were freezing so the heating system isnât very efficient. Maybe the vents need to be cleaned? Could use some new pots and pans and the lighting was a bit dull. The back sliding glass door was hard to open and shut. So just a bunch or little updates that could be done. Those needed updates are the only thing preventing the 5 stars.
The overall experience was pretty good but having stayed at a few other properties we just felt this house needed a little TLC..especially new carpet. It just felt outdated & a little tired. Would love to see some updates in because the laybout & kitchen was great!
This property gave us enough room to spread out and work for our work retreat! We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect fit for two families
We had plenty of room to hang out. We thought the rental was nicer than the pictures portrayed. The hot tub worked great(needs repair on the bar that goes over cover) the kitchen was well stocked(could use a new frying pan) The pictures online show all outdated TVs but the great room tv has been updated. SHARC passes were a great bonus for our families. We would return to this property again.
While the house was perfect for our family, parents, son and daughter and their families. Minor but important issues. Carpet was a mess. Time for an upgrade. Very dirty. Supplies were fine and when we needed additional supplies, staff gladly provided. Having 10 SHARC passes was superb. There were 10 of us and the pool was used almost daily. We also used them to play pickleball and tennis. Use of the bikes was also neat. The screen door came loose so had to keep the door closed but the weather wasn't the best in that the smoke from fires was quite thick. Not your fault. Other comments were noted for the cleanup staff and general staff of areas that needed improvement.
The downstairs was great. The third bath, with no heat and off the garage was silly.
The property was fine. VRBO policy of charging a fee to the renter, without an express disclosure up front is awful. I used to think VRBO was great. Iâll never use it again.
Well equipped property, as seen in photos. We had 2 young families on vacation. Pleasantly surprised by cleanliness, high chair and booster seats. TVs in all rooms (but barely used, HGTV a plus). Good location. SHARC passes for all were great. Large kitchen with all necessary utensils. We'd stay again.
Reasons I didn't give 5 stars: carpet was damp the first day of our visit, just unpleasant (but likely had just been thoroughly cleaned), hot tub read "danger, do not enter water" for our entire visit (but we risked it and enjoyed it), there is no insulation between upstairs and downstairs (2" of single layer flooring meant it sounded like the ceiling was coming down to anyone downstairs with just walking upstairs), and style was a little dated (classic 80-90s VHS collection included).
