"Escape" à notre chalet calme en bord de mer à Eastham. Que vous êtes à la recherche pour des vacances en famille amusantes à la plage ou un endroit tranquille pour se recharger, notre gîte est le lieu de vacances idéal.

4 couchages. Lit queen-size, de deux lits jumeaux, et un futon dans le salon. Les couvertures et oreillers inclus.

This was the perfect location for us, with a true Cape feel. I loved looking at the pond with my morning coffee. I stayed there with my two adult daughters and it was just enough space for the three of us. We had everything we needed.

A lovely time at the Escape! It’s a cozy cottage on the fresh water pond for swimming and boating. There’s great proximity to bay and ocean beaches, bike trails, Eastham and Orleans. Loved having our morning coffee on the screen porch!

Escape 2 cottage was everything it was advertised as! It was a beautiful property on a beautiful 21 acre pond with great fishing!!! Everything was clean well stocked and had all the info for all of the nearby attractions etc!!

We just returned from a GREAT stay at this property. We needed a place to relax and have some space during my son’s soccer tournament weekend. The cottage is clean and well stocked. During our time between games we paddled around the pond, the kids played basketball air hockey etc. there was plenty to do. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals.Caroline, the owner, was extremely quick to respond and check in on us. We were here in the off season but I bet it’s a great spot in the summer. Very close to the beaches and a swim dock on the pond. If our tournament is in the same spot next year we will absolutely stay again.

First timers here and we’ll be back! This well-maintained, very clean and nicely decorated cabin is centrally located yet just enough off the beaten track for privacy. Loved the screened in porch and the few steps to a private beach w boats and dock. The owner is highly responsive. What a great place!

Perfect for our family of four!

This was the perfect Escape for our family! Eastham was a nice base on the Cape, and this lovely cottage was quiet and comfortable. Caroline is the perfect hostess, offering travel tips and advice. The cottage is very clean, the beds are super comfortable, and that screened porch is the ideal place to enjoy morning coffee while hearing the rooster crow from across the pond. (Don't worry, he won't wake you up!) I would love to come back here!

Relaxing pond location

Great host.Very easy communication. Nice location despite being right on busy Rt 6 The place was grubby. We sort of cleaned a little all week.They had 3 row boats. All 3 had either broken oars or broken oar locks. A bit of neglect but we had nice relaxing week.

Kristina, thank you for your feedback. I am disappointed that you felt our cottage was grubby. We take pride in offering a clean cottage for our guests. As I had reached out the afternoon of check-in to confirm everything was ok and you reported everything was fine, I am surprised to read this. I also wish you had communicated the issue with the community rowboats earlier than the evening prior to your departure. We were able to repair two of the three boats within 24 hrs of your informing us of the issue, while we needed to order materials for the third. As we were not informed there were any issues until the end of your stay, there was no way to repair them before your departure.

Pefect place for exploring and fishing

Nauset Haven is a wonderful little oasis that works perfectly for a quite lake getaway or a base to explore Cape Cod. The cottage itself is a great size and easily large enough for 2-4 people. It was well decorated such that you felt like you were in Cape Cod and well equipped with everything you need from the kitchen to the beach to entertaining kids. The location is perfect, being right off Route 6 and between the ocean and bay side of the cape. Easy to get to many key sites and towns across the cape. The lake really is the selling point though. It is one of a small cluster of cottages on the lake which share a small beach, swimming platform and boat doc. Row boats are available for free and kayaks for rent. Lovely swimming off the beach and great fishing both from the dock and row boats. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Little Cottage

My wife and I found this cottage to be simply wonderful. It was spotlessly clean and the bed in master bedroom was very comfortable and great to sleep on. We did not sleep/use the twins beds in the other room but we were so pleased with the location and the cottage that we are actually thinking of taking our grandson (age 4) and staying there again next year. All the usual accoutrements one might need in/for the kitchen were there and the fridge/freezer was great and immaculately clean and the AC great. The cottage and lake it sits is a just very peaceful place (note:we were there just after Labor Day so the Cape was not as busy as it is during the summer but it is set back a good ways off Rte 6 so I think it would be a pretty quiet place even in the summer). The lake itself is simply beautiful and great for swimming (we did a lot of swimming) or fishing (the lake has plenty of bass in it and we saw other guests catch quite a few bass). Also, it is pretty close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail (easy walking distance) as well as a bike/rental shop. We rented bikes rather than bring our own since we had used our Mini Cooper convertible to get to the cape but we easily walked to the bike rental place (10-15 minutes tops) to rent the bikes and then rode them back to the cottage. The cottage is also a quick bike ride to the national Seashore/Coast Guard National Beach so we could ride the bikes directly to the beach rather than parking in the lot and taking the tram down to the beach.

Great location on the Cape and right on a pond.

The cabin is centrally located on the cape making it easy to explore. I went to see the National Seashore but discovered Brewster Flats and fell in love. The rustic cabin is on Ministers Pond with tow boats it’s own dock and beach. It was great to have my coffee on the dock in the morning, listening to the cacophony of birds and watching the warm morning light rise on the pond. The cabin, itself, could stand some updating effort. Yet, it is stocked with anything you may need in the kitchen. Linens weren’t provided so I used the Furies in Wellfleet. I wouldn’t recommend them. They didn’t deliver the linens the day I arrived and I picked them up next day. Caroline was very amenable, pleasant and open to feedback. I trust she will take care of the cabin.

October Stay

The cottage immediately felt like home with it's warm (and very clean) interior and beach themed decorations. 'It was very spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the porch overlooking the water and dock. Although the days and nights were cool, the cottage came equipped with a small gas fireplace that kept us nice and warm - and all it took was the flick of a switch! The site was located in a convenient area very close to several beaches in the area, as well as many restaurants. Our visit was everything we hoped it would be and am thankful for a wonderful stay at the Escape. We hope to return again someday =) Ingrid and Bob

The cottage was perfect for 2 of us. We took the boats out a few times and went swimming. The cottage is super clean and the design details are efficient and space saving. Communication was fast and great.

A cozy cottage by the pond

We enjoyed our one-week stay at the Escape cottage overlooking Minister's Pond. The location is excellent -- convenient to route 6 and just a couple minutes' drive from the National Seashore. The cottage is well-equipped and well-maintained. Because of Covid, we had to bring our own sheets and towels, but that was not a problem.

Extra Special

We enjoyed this rental a great deal and for many reasons. It was just the right size for the 2 of us, (We used the 2nd bedroom as a place to store our clothing/bags/etc and changing room). It has a porch that faces the pond and trees. This was a sweet, sweet spot to have. We enjoyed our morning beverages, games of cribbage or cards, an evening beverage and a summer storm. The kitchen was simple but plenty of room to prepare simple meals and store our foods. We did not swim in the pond, nor use the available boats but would have if we had more time. The location is great because the National Seashore, Coast Guard beach is literally around the corner. So convenient. It's also just a few minutes away from essentials (grocery store, Urgent care and pharmacy - didn't think we'd need those last 2 but we did!) and from Provincetown and other fun destinations. Sure, COVID19 changed our vacation but we did not suffer because we were able to enjoy this great cottage - a True Escape! Thank you!!

Small, but cozy.

The cottage is exactly as described. It’s small, but our family of 4 fit perfectly and we were out and about all day anyway. Definitely recommend as a great place in a great location to get away with family!

Pretty cottage on a pond

Cottage was very clean, recently painted and cheerfully decorated in a beach theme. It was on a small pond where you could watch the sun rise from a screened porch or go for a swim. Cottage was well stocked with everything we needed for our vacation. Close to National Seashore and bay beaches, too. We'd definitely consider staying there again.

Great “Escape”

A perfect place for two adults and a child. Great location and easy to get to National Shoreline and miniature golf - our two go-to places. The only slightly negative would be the size of the kitchen. There is little place to store groceries and minimal counter space. But we grilled outside most nights, so it wasn’t a big deal. All in all, a great week away.

I have loved coming to Cape Cod since my childhood. Now I get to share that love with my family. We loved to "Escape" to the Cape & our Nauset Haven cottage!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We loved this cottage, right on Minister's Pond. Having the private beach, rowboats, and swimming docks were the perfect bonus feature. We knew our family would enjoy many wonderful vacations here when we first stepped into the cottage.

Eastham was the perfect location with all that it offers: Cape Cod National Seashore, including one of the Top Ten Beaches - Coast Guard Beach, the Bayside beaches which have been perfect with a young family, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and more!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Nauset Haven is a wonderful vacation spot. Wake up to a waterfront view, enjoy the lovely views from the screened-in porch, and spend time at the private beach and swimming/boat docks. The boys love the fishing and I love reading on the porch. It truly is our "Escape."
