Generally a lovely experience. The home itself is wonderful. Location is stunning and very well laid out. Had an issue with the internet, however, the owner was very communicative and available to address the issue which is always appreciated!
What a perfect getaway! This cabin is so tastefully designed and makes you feel right at home. It has all the amenities needed and an amazing deck for views and star gazing. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to return again soon!
We had such a lovely weekend out of the city! The location and amenities were great. Loved having everything needed to cook full means and BBQ. Would definitely recommend 4WD if you want front door access. We will be coming back!
Max Martin was excellent. Gave us directions ahead of time. Place was super cute. Decorated Christmas. This little touches adorable. We really appreciated it. Bed surprisingly comfortable everything there for us. We brought too much stuff. Shouldnât have. I have pictures . It was super chilly windy. Mac not in control of weather. Haha. We made a big of chowder. Watched the Cheifs win and culled. Thanks so much.
The property was great but the parking was challenging. I would recommend updating the description to include narrow roads and back in packing only. We drove our 1-ton truck that had 4 wheel drive but we could barley park.
While the property needs some finishing work, the kitchen is wonderful and the views from upstairs and downstairs are special. You really feel like you are away from it all and alone in the woods. The TV and radio made our time inside comfortable and the location is perfect for going to the trailheads or SummerHaven. The indoor seating (couch and stools) could be improved but overall the cabin serves its purpose and this is the second year in a row we've stayed there.
This was a great adventure stay for us in our second stay on the mountain. The neighborhood access road is a challenge for steepness and broken up pavement, but the lack of any other vehicles and treetop views from two decks was worth it. It sure beats the traffic with no views down in the village. The area roads are great to explore by walking and ebiking. We had our SUV in 4x4 mode during the stay and used alternate map tools besides Google Maps to find this section of the street ahead of time. I would suggest planning ahead and not going in darkness or rainstorms when looking for the address on this no outlet street (trail). The whole neighborhood is a mix of single lane paved streets and very steep driveways and side roads. The house is clean and fully furnished with two decks and a picnic table on the lower deck. We will probably be back for more treetop solitude (in 4x4 mode). Top rated
Very nice home, comfortable, pretty spacious, great location, nice amenities, great back decks with wonderful views. Driveway very steep put we were able to handle it OK with our Jeep. The home creaks very loudly and often. Sounds like someone is pounding on the roof. It's pretty annoying and something I think some renters would not tolerate, especially if you are doing online meetings. I was also befuddled by the host's pricing model. I chose a more expensive home with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with the intent of inviting family to join us. We've done this many times with rentals in Summerhaven, Flagstaff, and Pinetop with no issues. But the owner charged me and extra $20 per person per night when two family members joined us for one night. I've never encountered this pricing before. The home sleeps 6 so I felt like I shouldn't be charged extra unless I go over the 6/person limit. I'm already paying extra for a bigger home. It also made us feel uncomfortable like the owner was watching us because he knew we had two guests. It may be a new pricing strategy hosts are using, so I don't mean to be too critical, but I feel you set the price for the sleeping occupancy. If I go over that, yes, charge me more. It really annoyed me and I probably will not rent from this host again.
Loved the setting even though a challenge to get there. Who ever owned the house is obviously trying to improve it which it desperately needs. Many little touches could make the experience better! The ver very BAD was when we went to use the bathroom upstairs at bedtime (hadnât been there before) there was an odorâŠâŠ.the toilet had been used and not flushed so the contents had become an overcooked MESS! đŹ We flushed opened the window and closed the door! Perhaps the cleaning person should be more thorough đ€
So, the weekend of Feb 9th - 11th it snowed on Mt. Lemmon - enough that they (Pima County Sheriffs dept) closed the roads up the mountain and allowed only employees and residents. Mr. Martin tried to get me a "resident pass" - with of COURSE A FEE, to get me to go. I'm NOT a resident - but I guess he will lie to make sure he gets paid! ZERO REFUND - what a snake. Never will use Vrbo or Mr. Martin. They will take your money in a heartbeat and hopefully nothing happens, because THEY are not going to make things right.
