Cozy hidden gem tucked away where the mountains meet the sea.
The Deckhouse is a charming, fully equipped cabin located on famous Chuckanut Drive-"Where the mountains meet the ocean". It is located half-way between Seattle, WA & Vancouver, B.C. There is an outstanding view overlooking Samish Bay featuring magical sunsets. Close to both Burlington and Bellingham. Hot tub is quiet the treat. Perfect for a couples get away!
The propery is cozy and so thoughtfully put together, and the view is just stunning. The photos really cannot do it justice. The Oyster Bar accross the street was an awesome bonus and the perfect place for a fancy birthday dinner.
Very quiet, beautiful panorama, close proximity to the best food spots. Communicative host, plenty of tasteful accents and complimentary snacks. Incredibly impressed and would absolutely come again!
Such a wonderful, quiet stay. Rather close to the main house but it was so private at the same time. Wonderful host. Beautiful views. And the hot tub was great! Can't wait to stay again. Perfect for a couple!
Absolutely loved this romantic getaway tucked into the woods right off the coast. The space was so cute and cozy with an incredible view of the sound and the nicest hottub spot. The place is also filled with games for you and your partner/friend to play together. Loved it so much!!
Quiet getaway for a night for my husbands bday. Grounds were clean and well maintained. I do agree with others feedback that the stairs could use some lighting for after dark, but other then that this place was a dream. Beautiful view to wake up to. The hot tub was perfects.
The deck house was in a great location for view and was beautifully put together. The hosts provided snacks and libations that were very much appreciated, as well as coffee and other general needs. We loved this stay and would definitely like to return!
The deckhouse was cosy and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the details like snacks and toiletries. I could not figure out how to use the coffee maker. I also wasn't thrilled with the view of freshly cut trees in front of the windows. Chuckanut drive was beautiful as always. Overall it was a positive experience.
Booked the cabin for the night after our wedding. Directions were helpful in finding the place, even though we didn't see the sign at first because of how late it was. Biggest issue was the lack of an exterior light by the staircase, made it a little hard to navigate at night. That being said, the rest of our stay was excellent! Quiet, cozy, and plenty of natural light!
