Welcome to Casa Laguna, a hidden compound nestled on the serene banks of the Yal Kú Lagoon in Playa Akumal. Sprawling over 4000 sq. ft., this vacation home promises a memorable escape in the heart of the Riviera Maya. Designed to accommodate up to 13 guests, this property features four spacious bedrooms with eight cozy beds, ensuring a restful sleep after a day of exploration.

We loved everything about this lovely house! Having private access to Yal-Ku Lagoon is amazing. And the pool and the large palapa are terrific. We especially loved the local wildlife that walks through the yard- so cool! It’s a short two minute walk to the new bakery at Que Onda (we had hot sourdough every morning)- icing on the cake. Highly recommend renting a golf cart- it made getting around so much fun.

Comminucation and check in was a breeze. Communication with the owner and on-site property personel was excellent. Kitchen was well supplied. Handled all of our needs. We had a great time!!

We loved this rental! The house is a little dated, but it is clean, cozy, and very relaxing. The pool and lagoon wer amazing! Big kids and little kids all enjoyed our stay. Gem in Akumal bay

Excellent property for family holiday - especially with young kids. The pool and the lagoon access are the big highlights. The only point is the house floor gets wet/sticky with one and all moving between the pool/lagoon multiple times in the day. But that aside, was a very pleasant stay. The support and timely response from the mgr Scott was outstanding. Will definitely consider another visit to this property.

Family trip to Akumal!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! The lagoon was gorgeous, the home was so comfortable, and communication with staff was great! I would 100% recommend this property, and would love to return! The caretakers are also very kind and thoughtful. In fact, one of sisters brought a hat and the band around it came off. After a cleaning one morning, the hat was repaired even without being asked, which was unexpected and so appreciated! We felt very cared for and welcome!

Family Reunion in Paradise

The location is amazing- the lagoon is great for snorkeling and the property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a great vacation. We were only surprised to find that the staircase leading to the master bedroom on the second floor is a narrow winding spiral- not safe for our parents who have mobility challenges. The house is perfect for large family gatherings, but not ideal if anyone uses a wheelchair or walker.

Beautiful house and grounds

The house, grounds & swimming pool are beautiful. The kind couple that clean and maintain everything are wonderful and they clean everyday. The house, grounds and pool are spotless!! The lagoon is amazing, but it gets very crowded with tours from other cities, and it was smaller than I had imagined. There is a disadvantage to not staying on the beach, as there is no entrance to the beach without paying, unless you are staying on the beach. Akumal is unlike any beach town I've ever stayed - there is no view to the ocean unless you go to a restaurant that is on the beach. You can't see it while walking on the road or sidewalk to and from town, or within the town itself. Miguel made two dinners for us that were delicious. We all felt very pampered: his wife shopped for the groceries and they set the table, served the food and cleaned up afterwards - all for a very reasonable fee.

The lagoon can get a bit crowded between 9-5 PM but it's wonderful outside those hours as you have it all to yourself at sunrise and sunset :)There is a public entrance to Half Moon Bay just between La Iguana condos and Villa Sirena, 5min from the house. You can then walk along the beach. You can also enter through one of the many great restaurants along the coast. We hope to welcome you back for another relaxing visit soon! Happy travels!

It feels very safe, the pool is one of the best you’ll find, the house was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, kitchen very equipped, outdoor covered space was great (we spent most of our time here) and finally the lagoon! What a beautiful experience for our family. There are so many fish to see, we snorkeled everyday. There are restaurants, convenient store and coffee shop within walking distance. We also walked to Akumal beach a few times (30 min walk with kids). Lastly, the service was amazing. They kept the house and outdoor area clean everyday and Miguel was very helpful with anything we needed. We had Miguel and his wife cook us dinners which were so good. Authentic, flavourful and delicious! Strongly recommend! One recommendation: have a couple bikes and kayaks available at the property with the rental. Shouldn’t need to rent them.
