Amazing new-feeling luxury home with the most amazing view from the wraparound porch! Just a hop down to Saranac Lake and then another short hop to Lake Placid. What a treat to stay in this beautiful house!

The house is spacious, bright, clean, and has plenty of seating for our group of 11. Amenities were great - hot tub, new outdoor sauna, game room, etc. Host was very responsive throughout the booking experience and during our stay. Beds and bedding are comfortable and of very good quality. Only suggestion would be to add dressers to the bedrooms for clothes storage and some heavier curtains or shades in a few bedrooms that can get very bright very early in the morning. Location is very good - tucked away and private, but a 5 minute drive to Lake Colby beach, 10 minutes to village of Saranac Lake and rail trail parking, and 20-25 to Main Street in lake placid. Last, but not least, the view. Really beautiful deck wrapping around the house with amazing views! All in all, a beautiful home, with plenty to do, and some of the best views you’ll find.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re glad you enjoyed the home and all that it has to offer. We also really appreciate your suggestions, as we’re always looking for ways to improve future stays. We’ve since added blackout curtains to the bedrooms to help with the early morning light. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us!

Great experience with this host and at this cabin. It is at the end of a gravel road, on the most beautiful hill situated within the seclusion of nature all around you and overlooking stunning mountains. The views couldn’t be any better from the wraparound porch and many windows. We enjoyed one dip in the hot tub and one evening with the fire pit. The location is also conveniently close to Saranac Lake in terms of restaurants and shopping, and not too far from Lake Placid either, plus the famous Donnelly ice cream is only about a mile away, perfect for an after dinner stop by in the summer. The phrase luxury might be a slight overstatement especially at this price point for anyone looking for premium luxury bedding, towels, TV and kitchenware but the home feels newer and uncluttered, which makes it a comfortable stay.

Best Thanksgiving Ever

My family celebrated Thanksgiving here. We all had so much fun and had a relaxing time. Besides cooking dinner we went on a great hike and visited Lake Placid. We all agreed it was our favorite Thanksgiving yet.

What a View!

Me and my extended family rented this cabin for a family gathering up in the area. The cabin was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything that our large group of 12 needed. The mountain views were breathtaking to say the least. Getting to to town was quick and easy. We would gladly rent here again.

Beautiful Destination!

The cabin was located conveniently to the airport and close enough to town to grab groceries, shop, etc., but felt secluded at the same time. We loved the panoramic mountain views. There was a slight miscommunication about the check-in process, but I believe that was on Vrbo's end as the host quickly mitigated the confusion. Next time I vacation in Saranac Lake with a larger group I will be staying here for sure!

XC ski reunion

A beautiful and comfortable home for a large group. Stunning views from inside the home and even more so on the huge wrap around deck. High end appliances and ample kitchen stuff make this great for groups like ours that cook meals together. EEnjoing a soak

Saranac Lake

We had a challenge finding it in a snow storm because google maps was not accurate and there was no sign. But is was definitely worth finding!! The house is beautiful. Cozy but spacious. Location and views amazing. The only thing that was a bit annoying is the trash limitations. Just wish we had known this before hand so we could come prepared. That being said, it was only a slight glitch. We had a fantastic time.

Family Reunion Getaway

Yearly we come to the area for our family reunion. We had 8 adults stay here. This is a beautiful property with a fantastic view. Located near Saranac Lake. The property was well set up to relax and catch up with our loved ones. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Kitchen was beautiful and we stocked. I had a little difficulty getting in the house due to my own ignorance. The younger adults enjoyed making fun of me for being too old. Sadly, I also needed help with the microwave. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to others.

Great place but needs some more things

The house was gorgeous! The views are phenomenal! The host was very attentive to our one situation that needed immediate attention. There are just a few suggestions that we would recommend as people that stay at VRBOs frequently. Please put a mirror in the upstairs bathroom. It was a big inconvenience trying to get ready every morning but needing to go all the way downstairs. There was a lot of people that needed to use the shower so it was hard not having a mirror in that bathroom. There needs to be more dishes in the house overall. With the large volume of people using dishes every day and you not providing dishwasher detergent for every day that we are there, you need to have more dishes. Also, please provide dishwasher detergent for at least one each night of people’s stay. We flew in from a different state so we didn’t want to buy a huge thing of dishwasher detergent and spend the extra money to wash dishes. Lastly, the garbage bag situation… there needs to be more if people are staying longer like we did. 2 bags is not enough. Overall, it was a gorgeous house and a very nice location. We would really consider staying again if these issues get resolved.

You are sure to enjoy this fabulous mountain retreat! The panoramic views from the deck are spectacular and the house is beautiful and quite spacious! Everything is just as it is listed - yet even better in person! The hot tub and sauna are special additions to this listing. The home is just a few minutes from some great hikes, lake beaches, and downtown Saranac Lake. We hope to return again soon!
