Welcome to “Barlow by the Bay” a modern 3BR Townhome located in the heart of Traverse City. This newly renovated townhome has an open living and dining space that is perfect for families and small groups looking to stay close to all the attractions of TC, wineries & craft breweries and restaurants.

Due to HOA rules and regulations this property does not allow pets, we appreciate your understanding.

Quiet hours are observed after 10pm. We are in a residential neighborhood so please make sure to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed.

☆☆ BEDROOMS ☆☆
This Traverse City townhome boasts three upstairs bedrooms fully stocked and ready for you to come home to after exploring the area. The master bedroom is equipped with a King bed, and a Twin rollaway bed stored in the closet. The master bedroom features ensuite entry into the full bathroom, shared with the main hallway. If you’re traveling with a young one, you’ll find a Pack and Play in the closet. The second bedroom features a Queen bed, while the third bedroom is outfitted with two Twin beds. This home can comfortably accommodate up to 7 adults and/or an infant, a rare commodity in the middle of Traverse City.

☆☆ BATHROOMS ☆☆
The townhome has 1 Full bath upstairs and a half bath downstairs. All bathrooms feature high quality amenities. The ground floor bathroom is located just off of the open living and dining room area, there is a short hallway to the bathroom and access to the below garage. The full bathroom upstairs features duel sinks in an outside vanity area separate from the shower and toilet so it’s easy to get ready for events while others in your party shower.

☆☆ KITCHEN ☆☆
The fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops has everything you will need to cook up tasty meals, including new stainless-steel appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, a crock pot, a blender, all necessary cookware and utensils and a separate drip coffee station with an assortment of coffee and tea available. There are also kids' bowls, utensils, and a high chair for young families. The kitchen is located just off the open dining and living area so it’s easy for the cook in your group to whip up tasty meals and not miss any quality time.

☆☆ LIVING ROOM ☆☆
This open living and dining room with plush furnishings and newly remodeled décor features a large picture window in the living room and another large window in the dining room that makes the space bright, having a movie night? draw the shades to get the right mood.Enjoy entertainment at your fingertips with our smart TVs, equipped with a variety of streaming applications. Simply log in with your personal credentials to access your favorite shows and movies for a cozy, home-like experience. If you’re looking for some family fun or group activity, check out our board game collection. There are also some kids' toys and books available.

This condo features a basement garage where you may park your vehicle during your stay. The garage can be accessed via stairs that lead directly into the townhome’s main street level. You may park additional vehicles on the street, please follow all street parking signage.

Please note during our peak season (June-September) we discourage late check-outs and early check-ins due to the tight turn-around schedules of our cleaning teams. We are happy to allow for an early check-in or late check-out if our cleaning team is able to accommodate the request and still allow the rental to be cleaned to our quality standards and specifications. All early check-ins and late check-outs will be charged a $250.00 additional fee for this expedited service. We are able to accommodate early check-in and late check-outs during our off season (October-May) for a reduced fee of $50.00, please contact us for further information.

Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.

Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.

For cancellations, please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. Please note that even if you are eligible for a full refund, the credit card processing fee will be deducted.

*Please note that violation of any of these rules is considered a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The owner reserves the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit or other penalties. 

Child Safety: Parents must not leave children unsupervised and are fully responsible for their safety at all times. 

Safety & Energy Saving: Please close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises.

Report any damages and/or breakages immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance: 
Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.

Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house. 

Visitors & Noise:
No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 6 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m.  Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors.  NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.

Pets: Due to HOA rules and regulations this property does not allow pets, we appreciate your understanding.

Housekeeping:  Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes. 

We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.

Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property. Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager, is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the responsibility of any harm arising from their use of the premises or other people they invite to this property (per owner’s approval). Owner has the right to ask guest(s) to leave the property if these rules are violated. If legal action is taken against guest(s), the at fault party will be responsible for all law suits/lawyer fees. Any violation of these rules could result in you being charged your security deposit and/or legal action taken. Call 911 if there is an emergency and then call the host.

ATTENTION: Missing garage door opener will result in a $200 replacement fee.

Family Vacation

This visit was unexpected and only had a short time to find a place without breaking the bank. Coastal Stay looked great online and the price was within budget. Upon arriving our expectations were blown away!! It was the middle of a snow storm and they had the driveway and walkway plowed everyday, if not twice a day. This was huge for us as we had to leave atleast once a day to visit elderly family. The house was fully stocked for anything you would need at your own home. AND the pillows, they were the best pillows I’ve ever laid my head on. 10 out of 10 recommend this location for quaint and quiet but so close to everything downtown.

Girlfriend Getaway

My girlfriends and I have been visiting TC for many years. This was our first stay in a rental due to our cabin there being sold. From the very beginning of our booking and stay, the people at VRBO and Coastal Stay were amazing. The Barlow by the Bay Townhouse was everything we expected and definitely top notch accomodations. We are very excited to plan our next trip there!!!!

Condo Stay

The condo is well located and very clean. I would suggest that the description of bathrooms be changed in the listing. The listing says that there are 2 bathrooms, but in reality there is 1 full bathroom and 1 half bath. So, it should state 1.5 bathrooms—not 2.

Beautiful place to stay

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, well-located home. Very close to boardman lake, downtown, and some great places to eat and drink. Highly recommended!

514 Barlow Street

The townhouse was VERY clean and every room had beautiful mid-century modern decor. Every space was designed intentionally with the furniture, light fixtures, table and floor lamps, area rugs and artwork. This may not matter to other renters but I love and appreciate being in a space I can fully enjoy. Especially since we had one stormy evening during our stay and it was fun to hang out and be comfortable in the living room and play cards at the kitchen table. There was more than enough space for my husband and I and our two teens, with three bedrooms and four beds and two comfortable couches. There was an abundance of towels, pillows, blankets and beach towels. The host thought of everything you might need- there is a supplied coffee and tea area, a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of cleaning supplies, a washer and dryer with soap, a vacuum cleaner, smart TV, WiFi, board games, plenty of outlets, night lights, labeled light switches, luggage racks and box fans in every bedroom and, a supply of toiletries in case you forgot something. The shower water pressure was great. The central air conditioning was very comfortable and easy to regulate. The host was very attentive and also provided immediate responses when we had a question. Having a garage with interior stairs to the townhome was a plus. Shopping and dining on Front street is a five minute drive with plenty of parking options. There are multiple beaches to visit.

Great Location, Well appointed

Nice three bedroom condo in great location. Right on the bike trail with three bike shops surrounding it. About a mile walk from Front St and the beach. House had everything you need and a great garage which was good for storing bikes. We had a really good stay.

Amazing Stay!

This was a relaxing and enjoyable weekend and our accommodations were fantastic- clean and spacious. The attention to detail in each room is amazing and communication with the host was simply- quick response too! Completely recommend a stay here- close to bike rentals restaurants and great walking/running trail.

This was a perfect spot for our family to spend the weekend. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of thoughtful additions (pack and play, highchair, toys, coffee, bathroom toiletries) throughout the house that made it so easy. Very great communication with the host throughout the stay. Great stay! Very clean and organized!

Property was very clean and organized with everything you would need and very thoughtful amenities (soaps, shampoo, etc. even olive oil and cooking spray!). They even provided treats and bowls and a bed for our dog. Communication was great too. Location was walkable to downtown and several restaurants. Highly recommended!
