The king size bed on the kitchen level, the mattress is terrible, not able to sleep in it, lumpy and no support. The coffee pot leaks water all over the counter and the sectional needs to be replaced. Sure, initially it looks nice, all cushions are fluffed up, but once you sit on it you just sink.
We weren't sure about staying at the former asylum, but ultimately, the room and the overall complex was amazing. We felt good vibes the entire time... even during our tour in the dark.
Enjoy biking and hiking the numerous trails throughout the area. perfect for family memories. Nice historical buildings with unique shops and taste restaurant. Convenient access to the beaches and very comfortable place.
Loved the rich history of the building. The great shopping in the lower level was an added bonus. We love having the space of the condo over being stuck in a hotel room. We like going to escape rooms, so that is how I treated the check in process. I handed the instructions to my kids and said figure it out. And they did. But it did take a few minutes to find the right bike and door.
Unique setting up the spiral staircase. Beds werenât great but good enough. Perfect location for us with our mom at Cordia Retirement Community also in Grand Traverse Commons.
Clean, unique, family friendly. Convenient to activities we wanted to visit in TC. We knew their was a spiral staircase to get to the upper bedroom. Didn't realize you had to also use a spiral staircase or set of 3 short flight of stairs to get into the condo.
Perfect location. Close to shopping, wine tours, and many restaurants options. The apartment was also perfect. The space was warm and very welcoming. It had all the necessary items to make for an easy trip. The response from the host was quick and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again.
5 nights stay to remember Traverse City Area, our old family home. The Condo was great for the four of us. We even managed the spiral staircase. Clean, well furnished, and in the wonderful complex.
Convenient location and nice property. Lots of room and well stocked kitchen. Looks like the photos and fits the description given. Would definitely stay here again.
The spiral staircase condo was a lovely, well appointed place. The extra thoughtful touches of providing soaps, paper towels and plastic garbage bags made the stay enjoyable as we did not need to run out to the store. Providing us with free grocery delivery and placing the food in fridge or on the counter for our arrival was awesome too. Our host was always quick to respond to questions and gave us detailed information about our condo. Location was great for traveling and exploring Traverse City area too. Could not have been a better experience!
We enjoyed the comfort and historical significance of this condo. Check in with the keys and combinations was somewhat confusing. We needed to use the fire escape stairs and they were very poorly lit.
Great property, we had a family reunion and were able to use the Pavilion on the property for our family dinner. Some days parking was tough, lots of codes/keys to gain entrance.
The unit was very clean and well stocked. Getting in and out of the unit was difficult with multiple codes, keys and lock pad combinations. The spiral stairs were unyielding, my adult son slipped and fell down a few stairs while going up to the loft. He was not injured, but this unit is not for us with narrow spiral stairs and low ceiling walls around the corners of the rooms.
Condo in what used to be an asylum. Very unique property. The unit was spotless with plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed having the boutiques and restaurant options in the same building. Would definitely stay again!
Went to Traverse City for a 4 day weekend with some friends. Had 6 people and the place fit us perfectly. If you stay here makes sure you go to breakfast in the lower level of the building, you wont regret it. There are also a bunch of cool shops in the lower level as well. Very Cool Place!
This is my absolute favorite property to have a girls trip at. It is in the most unique building. Hard to beat being an elevator ride away from great restaurants and shops.
