Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I really like Water’s Edge Resort. This was out second time this year. I didn’t do the review on the first visit which was in May. We checked in and Johnny was the person in check in. He is the rudest person. No one with his attitude should be working in the position of dealing with people. This year they changed to using a code to unlock the door to condos. He just gave us a code and didn’t explain how it was operated. We got to our condo and couldn’t get in. After we tried several times we went back down to the office and Johnny informed us we were doing it right. He came up to our condo and after working for about 30 minutes and couldn’t unlock the door and finally called someone. On on latest trip we had commode issues and had to deal with Johnny again. We went down on Saturday morning and he said if couldn’t be worked on until Tuesday(labor day was on Monday).He gave us the emergency number to call and I called and the lady said if the office was opened to had to go thru the office. I told her Johnny said to call her. We wasted all Saturday wanted on a plumber. Johnny should not be working in his position. (Commode was not working great when we left)

Vacation in the October Sun

Close to restaurants and shopping in Murrell’s Inlet. I would recommend it to anyone!

Music Needed at the Pool

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous place to vacation. Waters Edge Resort may consider incorporating speakers in the pool area. Nice tropical music in the background would really add the cherry on the cake. A clock near the pool would also be helpful. There was a problem with the door lock at check-in. We had to contact the front desk three times to resolve the issue. Overall, FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!!

Sometimes those have a mind of their own, but I am glad that once we got you in you didn't have any other issues during your stay at the beach. Come back to visit again soon!

Love Waters Edge. Great location and clean property overall

This was our 2nd stay at Waters Edge. We love the property and location to everything. However, our condo this time was a little disappointing based on the amount we paid for the convenience of a condo. First of all the refrigerator in the unit did not have an ice maker. We have never stayed in a condo on the beach that didn't have an ice maker. This is just an ESSENTIAL item. Also, the coffee maker was a filter coffee machine. No one uses filters anymore. We brought Kcups which made the process difficult. The toaster barely toasted. Didn't even get the bread warm. The toilet paper was 1 ply! Really! The drinking glasses were VERY small and glass. Wouldn't even hold a can of Coke. Also the unit was not cleaned thoroughly from the guests before. Rug in the kitchen was not swept and the mirror in the hall bathroom still had toothpaste splatter on it. Yuck! And the bed sheets were cheap and thin and wouldn't stay on the bed. This all might sound trivial but meant a lot given the amount of money paid for this unit. This unit did not hold a candle to the unit we stayed in previously. Will ask more questions about the unit before booking here again. Loved the pool and proximity to the beach.

Thanks for staying with us again at Water's Edge Resort. We are glad that you enjoyed the resort and its' location to all the Grand Strand has to offer. We apologize that you were not as happy with this condo during this stay. Unfortunately, these condos are all individually owned, so they are all stocked and furnished differently. Next time, I would recommend calling the front desk and asking about the condos prior to booking. We hope you will come back to enjoy the beach and amenities again soon.
