We had a phenomenal stay here over spring break! This was our first time coming to Destin, and this house was wonderful - from the cleanliness, to the private pool to the location and proximity to the beach & the community pool, all the local spots. The golf cart was so fun for our family, and the pool was really warm for March - 86 degrees! 10/10 would recommend and we'd love to come back & stay here again in the future!

This was a very comfortable and spacious home for our vacation week. With slightly older grandkids now, we really enjoyed the on-property swimming pool. There were a few squawks that weren't very important -- couldn't get the swimming pool lights to come on at night; in-home elevator was locked and not usable; a couple of interior lights didn't work properly; there was no air fryer (an increasingly popular countertop appliance these days). But ... I would rent Carpe Diem again any day, in a heartbeat. It was a great location with room for our 15 family members and our 4 automobiles. DBTS is just the best location !

Great Stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Carpe Diem. The house was impeccably clean, the management very responsive and we had a great time. This was our second trip and the house still feels brand new. It’s obviously well taken care of. Looking forward to another trip in the future!

Amazing

My family enjoyed our stay at Carpe Diem. We have been coming to the Destin area for 33 years and hands down the best house we have ever had. Kids and grandkids had a blast; weather was perfect and walk to beach was perfect.

Beautiful, well kept and very clean home. Spacious for our large family and we loved the king beds and bathrooms for each bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. When we contacted management with issues they were prompt to respond. The third floor did not cool well even though the temperature was set the same throughout the house and the other floors were very cool at same temp. They came to address this, but we never had any improvement, which was frustrating. There was a musty smell on third floor and we discovered mold on pocket door in master bath. The pool got cloudy and unfortunately it took over 24 hours for someone to come clean. Property was in a wonderful gated community with close access right across the street to boardwalk leading to the beach. Security guards at front gate were super nice and gave great food recommendations.

Beautiful Home. Excellent layout with large well-appointed rooms. Bedrooms have individual baths. Great location, only a half a block to boardwalk to beach. House was very clean upon arrival. Access to Destiny by the Sea and to the House were as expected. Nice quiet subdivision. The Air conditioning had a locked limit of 70 as the lowest temperature set point, where a degree or two more would have helped some of our party be more comfortable. The start/stop for hot tub was not clear to us. There were some old grill cleaning tools left at outdoor grill. and it needed cleaning. Some of our party noted a musty smell upstairs in and near master bedroom. The communication was a bit delayed but was eventually successful. So many great features. We would stay again but would hope the noted items be addressed.

Beautiful home. The pool is smaller than the photos indicate, but still a good size. The driveway is very steep and short and the garage opening is pretty small, so difficult to park cars (we had one SUV). Any issues we had were taken care of, but not as quickly as we would have wanted them to be taken care of. Grills not cleaned, and when we were told they were cleaned, they were still so greasy we couldn't use them. Unfortunately, the ocean was full of jellyfish so the grandkids couldn't go in the beautiful ocean. All in all, the home is as listed.
