Happiness Bay: Saint George Island Waterfront Luxury
Saint George Island may be the best-kept secret in Florida. It's unspoiled natural beauty and laid-back vibe make it ideal for people who want to unplug and unwind. No high rises, stoplights, street lights, or billboards. On our end of this 26-mile-long barrier island, there's only one road. We're on the Apalachicola Bay side, but the Gulf beach is across the street, with private beach access for our guests. You can watch the sunrise on the beach, and sunsets from our private dock or hot tub. Many of Saint George Island's vacation rentals are large homes that rent only by the week. We designed Happiness Bay Studio for two people, for any length of stay, so you can make a quick escape to Saint George whenever your schedule allows. The space is designed for luxury and convenience. The kitchenette has a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, double hot plate, coffee pot, with coffee, oil, and spices. This is a ground-floor studio apartment with private entrance and self check-in via digital lock. The hosts occupy the second and third floors of the home.
Nice area, loved the dock access. Beautiful view. We like being on the bay. The studio is a little small but works for a couple. Host was prompt with communication.
We had a relaxing quiet stay and the property was great. Best of both the bay and ocean. Perfect place for 2. Everything you need and very private. Check in/out was super easy and communication was great. Loved it
Great location! On the bay but a quick walk to the beach. The SGI State Park was amazing. The place was nice for the 2 nights we stayed. Wish we would have stayed longer to explore the island more and had more time on the beach, which by the way was empty! Great for relaxing.
We loved our stay here ! Property was super nice. Private beach access was great. Loved being only a couple miles from town. I loved the quietness of the town and getting away from the hustle and bustle from the busy beach town. The family that owns the property were very kind and friendly. Only critique was the booking screen says no dogs but the book of rules on the night stand says dogs are allowed and this stunk because we wanted to bring our dog. This isnât a negative but a be aware to other potential customers, you are renting the bottom room of the house so imagine being on the bottom floor apartment. Thoroughly enjoy our stay here.
This was a pristine and kinda boujee little apartment on the bay. I took coffee out to the dock every morning and let the mullet and the purple martins greet me. It was sooo quiet and private. From the front outdoor seating area, you can hear the waves crashing in the Gulf. Perfect getaway!!
A wonderful studio in a peaceful and secluded property. Everything we needed was provided. We made great meals and enjoyed the view while dining. We were lucky to see an eagle flying by. The Piggly Wiggly Mini has a great variety. Good restaurants! The State Park was fantastic and very close! Lots of nice shops and restaurants in Apalachicola. Able to book less than a week! A fantastic get away!!
My husband and I are on a six-week trip and decided to make a quick stop on St George Island, having never been here before. The studio apartment was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the linens were very nice. The kitchen area, while small, was perfectly functional for the two of us. Sitting on the dock in the afternoons watching for the eagles was an added treat. I would definitely recommend this rental!
Once we got in and heat on it was great. Only observation is the mattress had defiant problems. You need to flip and rotate it or replace it. Other than that it is a great place to stay a few days.
