The lodge was ideal for our large family. Bedrooms and baths were spacious and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped, wood was available for fireplace. We put the kayaks and canoes to good use.

April and Jim ensured we have a fanatic week during our stay. The house is architecturally rustic. It was beautiful and clean with space for everyone. The area is very quiet and the sunrise across the pond are amazing. The beds are comfy and the kitchen was great.

Great Family Retreat

Hard to find a prettier mountain retreat with 6 true suites and abundant common spaces. Beautiful setting overlooking a lovely trout laden pond. This was our third stay - we will definitely return.

Lake Toxaway vacation

Beautiful house! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and a private bath. The view was gorgeous and you felt like you were in a tree house. Clogged drain line on the AC that drained onto the kitchen island that was never fixed was the only thing that made it less than stellar but we highly recommend!

Well b4 we got to the property the main road in was and had been washed away, no mention of that in listing. Finding house was tricky since we were learned we weren't given a physical address of home. Once inside at a glance house did look good...until you really looked...cobwebs and spiders everywhere, mold in carpet, wooden floors were like a roller coaster in places. Night one, one door would not lock so i used a chair to wedge against door lock. Maintenance did come next day and were great. Night 2, turned off lights to go to sleep, tv was on so was some light, a literal bat circled our bed until I directed it out of our bedroom door never to be found again. Next day....we found a snake crawling out of rocks in fireplace which i nocked down and led out the back door. Now i decided to look under and inside everything, found dirty underwear and old clothes under the beds, found empty soda bottles and trash along with spiders and bugs throughout entire home. Was going to load dishwasher but it fell out of the hole, maintenance did come right away, again, they are great. Tried to play pickle ball at tennis courts which are non playable clay courts...need renovation. Had we not had 3 additional family's, my family i had not seen in over 10 years whom we traveling 10 hours away and had planned the trip for over 3 months we would have left the home. Nothing else to accommodate our size group was available in short notice. We should be offered a sizeable refund.,DISAPPOINTED

Relaxing time

Great family trip. No agenda. Just relaxing on the lake. Fantastic trout fishing in stream feeding lake. Great memories with the kids. Love the area!

Very Nice location. Entry was easy and well coordinated. Bedroom layout for 6 couples was good. Kitchen was small for the size of the lodge. With the property being in the woods, the exterior of the lodge (windows and screen doors) to be better maintained. Overall a good venue for a large group.

Couldn’t be better

We stayed with several families and it was perfect! Plenty of room for multiple families. The home was well equipped and as comfortable as our own. The kids loved the lake and exploring the woods around the property. We couldn’t of been happier.

Great stay!

The property was very nice and clean. With tons of space. Booking process was super easy and the property manager was easy to reach. The property is definitely away from the city so do all your Walmart runs prior to arriving. There is a Dollar General and a very good Mexican restaurant about 2miles or less away ! Overall loved the place and would recommend it to others

Excellent Vacation!

The house is big and spacious. So happy we could bring our dog. We loved having three different locations to have a fire and hang out. We enjoyed the pictures and history around the house. The neighborhood is so private and has the most awesome trails and river that is a must see! Loved it!

Very relaxing with family

We enjoyed staying at the Lodge. We had a wonderful time with our children, grandchildren and family. The house is spacious and great for entertaining. The children enjoyed making smores. We hiked to a waterfall. The clubhouse and swimming pool is beautiful. If you have any questions the property manager Jim is helpful.

Great house we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the property a lot.

What a great place. We arrived and were immediately mesmerized by the property. it is absolutely beautiful. The place is comfortable and spacious. The lake and scenery around the house are spectacular. We really enjoyed the hike to the nearby falls. The beads were awesome and very comfortable. This is a truly great property with very welcoming owners and property management. I highly recommend this place to your family and friends.

Great property to enjoy time together

The grounds were beautiful. Super easy to get to. Gated communication was well planned out. House itself was mostly well designed and very spacious. Well stocked kitchen. We were 9 adults and no one felt cramped. Lots of TVs. The firepit by the lake was the highlight of the stay. Hiking trails within the community were fantastic.

Almost paradise!

House and setting were lovely. We almost felt like we were in paradise and no one else was around! Setting is so private and beautiful. We only ran into a few other people, but had access to a lovely pool, tennis, billiards, ping pong, boats and hiked to a lovely waterfall a mile or so from the house. Caught and released several fish, which kids loved. Expensive but worth it!

Best Fall Trip ever!

So the leaves were very green....but the weather was a real pleasure. This house is truly spectacular, we had a 2 couples and 4 singles all of the above had luxurious bedroom and private bathrooms. Kitchen was as well prepped as any of our homes. Jim A. on site was always friendly and accommodating with our questions, and "plenty of firewood...Thanks Jim!
