Welcome to Donnell Pond House, our lakefront paradise on Donnell Pond, one of the best lakes in the State of Maine! Our 4 bedroom/ 3 bathroom brand new house is the perfect home base for your visit to the Acadia National Park region of Down East Maine. Located just a short distance from Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. You will have everything you need within reach.
Unwind and relax at our stunning all new construction house on the magnificent Donnell Pond. Drive down the private road to our lakeside paradise, perfect for family and friend getaways. Take in the sights of Donnell Pond and enjoy all that Down East Maine and the surrounding area has to offer including Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Relaxation and adventure await.

Enjoy our open concept main floor complete with a dining room, eat-in kitchen, brand new appliances including an ice maker and laundry room. The living room features a gas fireplace for cool Maine nights. Gaze out the surrounding windows as the lake comes to life. Guests may stay on the main floor bedroom with full bath surrounded by woods and custom landscaping. Upstairs you will find two full bedrooms with lake views and one bunk room for the kids. Our loft offers a quaint space for the kids to play board games or wind down with a nice book equipped with a pull-out love seat. Our 3 full baths are complete with heated floors. Stay connected with Starlink high-speed internet and Wi-Fi and Smart TVs in the bedrooms and living room.

Continue the party outside, relaxing on lawn Adirondack chairs and beach loungers, barbequing on our Weber grill and making smores while stargazing around the fire pit. Wade in the crystal-clear water of the lake and fish off of our private 20 foot dock.

We’ve stayed in many vacation homes and this was by far the best! It was clean, equipped with everything we needed, and provided a peaceful location to relax! Friendly neighbors and the communication from the host was unmatched. We would not hesitate to stay here again and will recommend it to others!

We recently had a group of 8 stay comfortably at Donnell Pond House. The space was everything you could ask for from the accommodations, to the views, to the attention of the smallest details. The house felt like your home away from home. The owners were so helpful and kind and we cant wait to visit again someday!

Maine Vaction Get away

The house was new,spacious, and clean. It was situated on a clear lake in a wooded rustic setting nearby amazing scenery. We enjoyed the quiet retreat when staying in and enjoyed the many colored splendor of the mountains the ocean and the National Park. Our host was very, Accessible, helpful, and generous With his time and have full advice. A great place to stay.

Pure Serenity…A Lake-Life Paradise

We stayed here as three families of four and had the most amazing time. From the beautiful panoramic lake views from the kitchen and living room to the manicured landscaping stretching down to the dock — we spent our time kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, lounging, fire-pitting, hiking, and s’more-making! The Owners, Joe and his brother, Doug really thought of everything when creating this newly constructed piece of lake-life paradise. Everything was very new and clean, as if we were the first to stay. Joe and Doug were super helpful, extremely communicative and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in the future!

Extended Family Annual Vacation

This Property is the Absolute the Best vacation rental I have ever rented. The house was furnished with quality furniture, linens and dinnerware. The house was plenty large enough for my family of 8 adults and 3 children ranging from 5 to 13. We rented a boat local boat rental company (Down East Rentals). The adults and children all totally enjoyed the house, boat and the time we all spent together. The host was helpful well beyond expectations. We all agreed that we would be retuning.

Spectacular!

Spectacular property and surroundings! We loved our stay here - absolutely beautiful immaculately clean home. Comfortable rooms and well equipped kitchen. Quiet secluded area with a new deck and private pier. Perfect for relaxing at the end of the day and taking in the lovely view of the clear water lake and surrounding hills. Thoughtfully placed tourist brochures were helpful. Host was superb and stayed in contact throughout our stay providing recommendations and ensuring our needs were met. Drive is about an hour to Bar Harbor. We were truly impressed with both Joe and his home! Wish we could have stayed longer. Would absolutely book again if in the area!

Our stay at this house was absolutely spectacular! The house itself was roomy and stunning. The views from the kitchen and living room were breathtaking. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners Joe and Kim, who were incredibly friendly, kind and warm. We rented a couple kayaks and a boat during our week stay, which we highly recommend. We were out on the pond every day and we found it both relaxing and fun! Water temps when we went were pretty decent, so we were swimming a lot as well. Kids had a blast fishing off the dock, so we recommend bringing a couple small poles if that’s your thing. We spent a few nights out on the dock with drinks just looking up at the stars. All of the food recommendations from Joe and Kim were excellent. We didn’t have a bad meal all week. Their recommendation of a local butcher was also greatly appreciated, as those steaks we cooked up were epic. We cannot recommend staying here enough! We certainly plan on coming back to stay here again. Thank you for everything Joe and Kim, it was a pleasure.

A Hidden Gem

This house is a lovely hidden gem!! Located on a crystal clear lake with your own dock with maybe 6 total neighbors you feel like you have access to your own private lake! What a treasure this place is. Our two families had a lovely time swimming, paddle boarding and enjoying the firepit. We played cards, hiked nearby trails (Tunk Mt) and the stars at night are amazing! You are also located close (about 44-55 minute drive) to Acadia where we hiked and enjoyed the famous Cadillac Mt sunrise. The house itself is immaculately clean and absolutely well appointed down to the last detail! Every detail was thought through from Maine themed books to cornhole and games. Beds were very comfortable in all bedrooms and we slept great every night! Owners were very responsive, stopping by to drop off extra propane tank, extra firewood or to just introduce themselves. We absolutely loved this place, would love to come back and highly highly recommend this property to anyone (especially families) looking for a quiet relaxing beautiful experience on all fronts! Can not say enough good things about this place!

We have had a family home in this area of Maine for decades. We also have a Christmas Tree Farm only a mile from the house.

Our property is located on one of the BEST lakes in the entire state of Maine and only a short distance from Acadia National Park. The house is also brand new and has all the modern amenities.
