We make vacation easy! Ocean & sound, 2 tandem kayaks, 4-bdrm, linens included!

Welcome to the Tipsy Pelican! We make family vacations easy! House comes with all essentials: laundry detergent, fabric softener, dish soap, hand soap, and garbage bags (among other things) and bathroom toiletries. You will also be provided “starter” paper towels and toilet paper, so you no need to run to the store your first day! We also have beach towels, beach toys, and beach chairs!

Just across the Surf City Line. Walking distance to the beach (1 block - public access #8) and sound (two blocks - public access Reeves Street). You can easily walk the two tandem kayaks on their carts down to the sound and enjoy the intercoastal! We are so close to all Surf City activities but just outside of town enough for a much less crowded beach experience!

House has the perfect layout - spacious ranch with a beautiful open floor plan. Two bedrooms and a bathroom on each side of the home. Big enough for everyone to be together and plenty of rooms/space to get the private or quiet time you need as well.

4 bedrooms - (1) King, (2) Queen, (3) 2 full beds, (4) bunk bed - twin over full sized bed with twin trundle. LINENS ARE PROVIDED! Every bedroom has a TV.

Kitchen has everything you need: dishes, wine glasses, silverware, crockpot, coffee pot/Keurig, food processor, Ninja blender, cookware, bakeware, etc. The dining table seats 10 and we have a bar height kitchen counter with 5 stools. Lots of games in dining room shelving unit for all ages. Entertainment center is also stocked with movies for all ages!

2 full bathrooms and an outside shower with lights that come on nightly! Bathrooms have hand soap, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and plenty of towels.

HUGE front porch with night-time ambience and ocean views. Back porch has sound views; watch the sunset over the sound! Roof top deck has ~ 360-degree views of water – ocean and sound! You won’t find a better place to watch the sun rise or set! 4 zero-gravity chairs to sunbath, stargaze, or whatever you enjoy. The rooftop deck is a real treat!

We do provide beach towels for your use.

Shed with beach gear – tent, beach chairs, sand toys, cooler, wagon, boogie boards, crab net, cornhole, etc.

Great Relaxing Location and Very Responsive Hosts

This home is excellent, since it has two bedrooms on one side of the house and two on the other, which is excellent to help give the parents and children some separate space. The location is excellent, short walk to the ocean and a short walk to the Intracoastal Waterway. This home is one of the few that has a crow's nest or lookout section on the very top of the house so you can see far and wide and sit there peacefully in the morning with your cup of coffee. The host Jenn was very responsive and very accommodating!

Nice house close to the beach

We very much enjoyed our stay at Jenn and Drew’s home. The house had everything we needed and more. It was very clean and comfortable. Jenn is very nice and communicates promptly. She even mailed our grandson’s sweatshirt that we left behind, and she assisted us with a mixup with VRBO. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

2024 Topsail Vacation

Love this house! It was very clean & had everything we needed! The location was great, too! One of my favorite things about the house was the outdoor shower with hot water!! And the decks are amazing - loved spending time with the family on each one! Jen is the best hostess - so thoughtful & the communication was great!!

Gorgeous!

This property is gorgeous, the listing does not do it justice! The attention to detail anticipating what their guests might need is outstanding. The rooftop deck has stunning views and don't forget the outdoor shower 😉. I will definitely book again!

Fabulous Amenities

This home could not have been better stocked- there was every item you could imagine
. Beach chairs, toys, floats- all the things you hate to pack. The kitchen had everything and MORE! Beds were comfy and even great pillows. It was tastefully decorated and a nice central family area with a nice large dining table. There is nothing to want for once you arrive. We all had a great time!

The Best place we have stayed for a family vacation

From the start of booking the process, the hosts were responsive and accommodating. The check in process was easy and the hosts left us a note, chocolates, and a floral arrangement. We have a large family and our son who is stationed at the base just had a baby with his wife. The space was large enouh to host a thanksgiving meal with space but also being able to be in the same room to be together. Views from the top porch was amazing. Having coffee on the covered porch was relaxing. Access to an elevator was helpful to older members of our family but also to the new parents and the baby. They also had some supplies for going to the beach which was something we didn't think to bring. We can't praise the hosts and house enough. Highly recommend the hosts, price, location,etc.
