I had no idea a place on the water so quiet existed so close to major cities on the East Coast. It was perfect and the house itself was as amazing as the photos
The house is almost as beautiful as the views. The amount of room was perfect for our group. There were stinging jellyfish in the water which was kind of a downer. My daughter was stung multiple times but the beach was awesome and peaceful. We brought two small dogs with us and it was perfect for them as well. The only inconveniences were the wifi constantly cutting out and the house key situation
Our stay was terrific and the house was great. I just have a few repairs suggestions â most of the bikes are in need of repair, the oar to the paddle board was broke and the shades in the kitchen and living room were not working. Other than the suggestions, it was awesome.

Myself, sister and brother in law were looking for a couple of days away with nothing to do. This house was perfect and the beach views are unbelievable. We will definitely be coming back to this house.
The house was beautiful. It had everything we needed to have a great stay. We saw dolphins and a lot of wild life. Ships and barges were in the distance the entire week. We went to Dog fish head brewery which was quite impressive. We went in April, our dog was able to come he could be on the beach with us, and that contributed to making the stay great. The bay makes for less rough water, however the water was very murky. Great place!
Great little house with everything you need. The view and beach are everything!! Close enough to fishing, boardwalk, restaurants and all the tourist attractions but far enough to just quietly enjoy nature if that's what you like!! We did both and had an awesome week. Definitely planning on booking for next year.
An absolutely perfect Place for our late summer getaway! The house is beautiful...everything feels new and bright and yet still comfortable and cozy. Sweeping views of the water from almost everywhere in the house. The beach is right outside the back door, and the location gives you loads of space and distance without feeling isolated. The Bay was awesome for kayaking, and seeing dolphins everyday was icing on the cake!
I have never stayed in a home so close to the ocean, and this is why I selected this home to rent for our vacation. The home was absolutely beautiful and contemporary. It was completely stocked with everything we needed. Every morning I would get up and walk down a short trail to take my morning walk on the beach, it was extremely beautiful and relaxing, a perfect way to decompress. For fun We went to Rehoboth beach for lunch and explored all of the shops on the boardwalk and had fun exploring Lewes.
We would highly recommend.
We (3 couples, 2 kids under 12) enjoyed four days between Christmas and New Year's at this amazing property. The house was immaculately clean, well-appointed (seriously, there was nothing we were left wanting for in the kitchen) and so cozy and comfortable. You cannot beat waking up to the view of tranquil Broadkill Beach, and the way the bedrooms/windows are situated upstairs, it's like you are floating on the sea.
We had a small hitch at check-in, but Pat was immediately responsive to solve the issue. And once inside, we were delighted to find a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the living room, putting us right at home. Highly recommend and we'd be excited to return.
We had a wonderful stay in this cute little house on the Beach. Not fancy but everything worked, the beds were quite comfortable and the view is unbeatable. Just loved sitting on the deck! We saw Deer right next to the house in the Dunes. It's an easy ride into Lewes or Milton. This was our first experience at Broadkill Beach which we found to be a unique and wonderful place. so Private and quiet. We will definitely be coming back. here!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at your home. The beach and sound were so tranquil. We'd love to return to Broadkill Beach.
Pros: Beautiful house, beach, and quiet area.
Cons:
- storage closets are cluttered
-. dusty ceiling fans and air filters
- kitchen knives are not sharp.
-. Advertised 4 bikes- 2 actually function
- Paddleboard is missing paddle
- coffee pot needs replaced
- wifi is spotty during the day but works fine in evening
Thank you again and we may consider renting your place again but feel there's a lack to attention to detail to this house.
We were looking to find a quiet place on the Delaware shore to decompress after having recent retired. This home was the answer! Lovely home, comfortably furnished, well-equipped kitchen. We walked on the beautiful beach everyday and enjoyed blissful privacy. The owner was highly responsive to our needs. Just one thing to know. Not a problem for us at all, but because the homes along the shore are necessarily elevated, there are many steps to climb to enter the living space. Individuals with mobility challenges could find access daunting. Overall, a delightful stay in a delightful setting. Thank you!

Unpleasant Beach
House is clean and beautiful views. However, stepping outside is a different experience. Beach was full of rotting , maggot-filled horseshoe crabs, which caused a stink. Tried to relax on beach but we were constantly bit by flies-even with bug spray. Swimming resulted in jellyfish stings. Would not recommend this place if you have kids who like to swim, or if you like to relax on the beach all day.
My husband, son and I stayed at this Beautiful house for five nights in late March. The pictures of the house are all accurate, but once inside the house, it exceeded our expectations. The views from the kitchen, living area and two upstairs bedrooms were just breathtaking. Everything about the interior of the house was inviting and very comfortable. The kitchen provided everything we could have possibly needed. We had a couple of good weather days but really didnât mind the bad weather days (it was March after all!) since the house was so comfortable to be in. The Internet connection was perfect and we had no difficulty working from the house. All communication with the owner, Pat, was very timely and easy.
We would definitely stay at this house again in a heartbeat!
This is our second stay at this house. Beautiful view from the deck. The house has everything you'd need. The living room area is a little tight tight (we had 5 people) but spent most of our time on the deck -- plenty of room there. We did have biting flies a couple of the days (tried the Cactus Juice -- that didn't seem to work) but they didn't bother us in the water, so we would go and hang in the water for a while and then sit on the deck to enjoy the view. (This is our 3rd visit to Broadkill and the only time we've had problems with the flies). In addition to the donuts at the Broadkill store, they also have sweet rolls and sticky buns on Tuesday that you need to pre-order on Monday. Delicious!
We loved this property! The pictures donât do it justice. It was easy to check in and checkout. There was plenty or room and closet/storage space. In the off season it was nice and quiet in the neighborhood. We loved that their were so many things to do. We went for bike rides, played games, toddlers quickly found they toy closet, fire pit on the beach and had they decent cookware which and appliances. Plenty of ceramic, glass, acrylic, and plastic dishes to suit every occasion! Management was very responsive when I had any questions. Please note sound carries very well in this house. If you are a light sleeper with loud talking family like mine this may not be the house for you. The thermostat was also tricky with a lot of occupants. In the winter, check windows because a small draft will quickly cool the house down. The fireplaces warm the living room and main bedroom very well. Plenty of blankets and comfy pillows. We slept well in the comfy beds. Definitely hope to stay again one day!
We love waking up to the thrum of the waves. As soon as our youngest graduates we are going to get very serious about spending most every weekend there, but until then we have commitments most weekends and can't get there. When we can't be there, we love to share it, and enjoy it vicariously through you!
Sandcastle, our dream beach house, sits squarely on the sand with great water views. We love the outdoor living made possible by the large deck . Have your morning coffee on the deck and look for dolphins. Run with your dog on our pristine, pet friendly beach. Forgot your towel? Take a few steps back in and grab it! Rainy day and winter day views of the sand and water are spectacular too. Snow geese and harbor seals frequent our beach in the winter.
You will love the proximity to surf and sand, grilling on the great deck, having access to beach equipment, toys, double kayak, and bikes for exploring this quaint, natural beach town and the nearby Primehook Nature Preserve! Itâs like stepping into a charming past. Youâve found a well kept secret here!!
