Built in 1957, the house retains its flawless allure, boasting original Honduran Mahogany paneling and cast iron railings. Nestled on a tranquil street and a short walk downtown, you'll relish the quiet while being close to town. The heart of the home is a grand great room with 15ft ceilings and expansive picture windows overlooking the Pine River prairie. Unprecedented views! Modern comforts abound, from a gas fireplace to brand new central air and heating, a 50 inch Roku Smart TV, free WiFi, new LG Washing Machine! Step outside to a spacious 300 sqft deck and embrace the serenity of hillside living in the woods. Please note that no pets are allowed, ensuring a peaceful and allergen-free environment. Homecoming 2024

What a wonderful stay. The property was amazing. Clean, well stocked and perfect for our needs. We were busy with Homecoming activities, but I would love to come back and just hang out in the lovely spaces of this home. Patricia, the property manager, made everything easy and she was easily available via text if needed.

This is most certainly a hidden gem! We were visiting a family member that lives very close and we like to get our kids together and partake in Halloween festivities. We had a perfect amount of space and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a family dinner together in the spacious kitchen/dining room room. I can’t tell you enough about the property, if you love this type of home, it is a must stay. Even if you don’t, you need to stay there, it is fabulous! Period correct decor, everything you need to have an enjoyable weekend and we even caught some beautiful sunrises on the back patio. We hope to rent this every October and I plan to rent it with my spouse in the future as well as my mother-in-law. The owners and the property manager were friendly and always there if needed. They shared great information about things to do in the area. 100% recommend this property.

My wife and I were joined by another couple for a three night stay. We canoed the Pine River Saturday. Hiked and biked on Sunday and Monday. We also visited Spurgeon Winery, the Big Spring nearby it, and the Oakwood Fruit Farm. The house was a delight to come back to after a day of doing these activities. The kitchen was large and easy to work in. The living room was comfortable and the gas fireplace provided a nice warmth. The house has been updated, but still retains the character of the original.

Owners and property management were all very thoughtful and friendly. The house was like being in a work of art and was a wonderful experience to encapsulate our tour of the FLW estate. Good rating for cleanliness because everything you want to be clean like bedding and towels were. Other areas of the home felt like they were missed over. Neighborhood was great, expect felt really uncomfortable with neighbor's camera pointed towards this house and feels like they could easily see in the bedrooms, which understandably not the owners fault. Some of the furniture was not to our comfort liking. The bed was on the firmer side and for a tall person not ideal being a queen with a low base. The couch was also laking comfort due to style for a tall person. The dining room and patio furniture were the most comfortable for us. It's hard to rate because it is all very aesthetically appealing.We had a fairly good stay there overall. It was peaceful and beautiful for the most part. We did run into some issues that we thought would be addressed differently. Communication though with Walter was always pleasant and thoughtful. We are glad to have experienced this beautiful home however wouldn't return purely out of personal comfort. We would however recommend to a fan of this style or of FLW to at least experience it.

The first note I received from you was only after your stay—you never corresponded with us during your two nights here—and in that message you shared how much you loved the anniversary flowers we surprised you with. We take pride in those kinds of personal touches, because our goal is always to make each guest’s stay memorable and welcoming. It’s too bad that thoughtful gesture wasn’t included in your review, as it reflects the care we put into hosting. While comfort is personal, all of the furniture is new and thoughtfully chosen, and we’ve never received feedback before about it being uncomfortable for tall people. Nonetheless, thank you for choosing to stay with us, Lisa, and happy anniversary to you and your husband—we wish you the very best wherever you choose to stay in the future.

Its hillside location and proximity to our family. It's a short walk over the footbridge right into downtown Richland Center.

Did you know that Richland Center was the birthplace of Frank Lloyd Wright? This home was built by one of his apprentices in 1957. It used to sit on waterfront property back when there was a dam in Richland Center. The back of the house faces the Pine River and the Pine River Valley which is a protected wetland. It's peaceful and tranquil inside and out. The large picture windows of the home function like a work of art as they showcase the ever changing world outside. It's a special house that has been well maintained and thoughtfully designed.
