Plenty of space on two levels - three bedrooms each. Main level is very open and was great for everyone to hang out together talking. Screened porch is right off the main space and was big as well. Kitchen had all the basics but not a lot more. Bring your own pans if you are particular. Downstairs gathering area was also large. Bedrooms were comfortable and decorated nicely. Driveway was not nearly as bad as some comments suggested although we did not have bad weather. One spot where the gravel road meets the driveway pavement needs work but we just manually downshifted and had no problems. Easy access to town and different directions. Roads to the house are full of curves so slow down, and look for deer! Owner communications in advance were excellent and thoroughly described everything!
Plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen well appointed. Driveway was a little treacherous with our 11 person van. Cupboards full of games. Nice outdoor space screened in porch.
Very family friendly. A few complaints on comfort of the beds, they were not supportive . The driveway was a little difficult to climb. But overall, the home was very inviting with a separate place for the younger adults to gather away from the older ones. Also, loved the screened in outdoor area. Didnt get to enjoy the hot tub, a missed opportunity. Would definitely book again!
Plenty of space for all of us. Favorite spot was the huge screened in porch! Especially the day it rained, we got to relax and catch up with everyone and on some reading. Yound adluts kiddos loved the pool table. Porches could use a good pressure wash, but it's the mountains. Location was excellent, close to everything! Would stay again for sure!
We had a wonderful time celebrating graduation and mother's day with extended family. When there were wifi issues, through no fault of the homeowner, they were quick to respond and get it fixed. We had plenty of space and the pool table provided lots of fun
Spent 3 nights for a family wedding. There was plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the rustic decor. The big screened in porch was very nice. The kitchen was well appointed. Some mattresses were soft. We missed having soap for the showers. A good experience overall.
Four Seasons is comfortable and well-stocked. The separate living room downstairs was great for some kid/adult separation. Ping pong and pool tables and the hot tub are fun to keep everyone entertained.
Our yearly, 2 night mountain trip 2025. Our friend group loves the Boone, Blowing Rock area so we look for a spot in that area... The house was close to the attractions we wanted to visit on that Saturday. Very fortunate that the weather was mild because the road/ driveway to the house is extremely steep. The house itself had positives and negatives. Positives- easy check in, 6 bedrooms , comfortable beds, nice fireplace, large covered, screened in deck. Negatives - musty smell, cobwebs throughout and cold downstairs.
We stayed and played comfortably for four days. Our host was available for every question large and small. We felt fortunate that the weather allowed us to travel the steep driveway. We were rewarded after the climb with good parking very near doors at both levels of the house The kitchen was well supplied with everything our family needed. I feel that the online descriptions are accurate and helped us prepare for our stay
Weekend snowboarding trip with the family. The house had lots of room. Was a little difficult to get to. 100% new four wheel drive to get up the driveway with the ice (which we had and it was still difficult). Hot tub was a nice feature but it wasnât warm enough on night one to go in. Took a very long time to heat up. Bottom floor was very cold. Had to sleep with multiple blankets downstairs upstairs heated well with the fireplace. Would probably be very nice in the summer time.
Location was great. Close to Boone, Blowing Rock and Ski Areas. The property worked out great. With 15 people there was room to spread out and not feel cramped. We had space to be together to play games and have family meals together.
This is the 20th year of our annual trip to the mountains to get a Christmas tree.
First time staying here.
The driveway is a little steep however it's a nice place and we enjoyed it.
Board games food and shopping trips.
We rented places in the mountains of North Carolina for years and years until we were able to buy a place of our own. We loved sharing the beauty and activities this area offers with our three children. If you would like recommendations for secret swimming holes, great near-by hikes or restaurants, let us know and we will tell you what we have learned.
We chose this house because it was big enough to hold lots of friends and family and we could not ask for a better location. The pavement ends right by our drive. Going left out of the drive and you can take a lovely walk with the dog -- it's a very short and gorgeous drive to the parkway, fishing , hiking , etc. If you go right out of the drive, you are 5-10 minutes from either Boone or Blowing Rock and all the amenities of those areas. We have a view from the screened porch and are surrounded by trees.
